We like the overall stay here. The room was good, the premise is very beautiful and makes you feel like staying in a cozy Spanish style hotel. Their breakfast was very reasonable cost and good quality. I giving three stars due to the toilet connection. Toilet was very dirty, yellow stains and the worst part was that there was a sign near the toilet roll that said Do Not flush the toilet paper. Kindly put them into the trash can!!!!! ☹️☹️☹️. The flush was not working properly. Next day I also checked with another person in the group and she had the same sign in her bathroom. I think this is Not except able for the hotel business. We stayed there during our trip with Intrepid. I totally understand the issue with the sewage system. We were able to fully use the toilet in home stay commuting but not that this hotel. I really recommend that hotel should install the bidet.

Family run hotel desperately in need of updating and some TLC. ||I stayed in two different rooms at the start and beginning of a tour, so this is not a hotel I chose and booked. ||The rooms themselves are actually a really good size, and the bathrooms are massive. The furniture in the rooms are ok, and both beds were comfortable. But cleanliness of both rooms was below par, and had maintenance issues that could be easily fixed. ||Cleanliness: floors were filthy and gritty - when I stepped out of the shower I could see how dirty the floors (and my feet) were. Towels were dated and in my opinion unclean. I questioned whether or not they’d actually been changed after the previous guests because of how dirty they were. There’s a notice on the bathroom wall asking guests not to use the towels for cleaning their shoes or removing makeup, but if there’s dirt on the towels it’s not from cleaning shoes - it’s probably from cleaning the dirty floor from their feet. ||Maintenance: plug socket behind side table was hanging off the wall and electrical wiring was exposed. Broken window in bathroom (not covered with insect screens) allowing insects and the elements in. ||Both of my rooms had doors leading to an outside seating area. This has the potential to be a really beautiful space, but the area was overgrown and the furniture uninviting. ||I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as I opted to eat out each morning. ||Location of the hotel is good - close to a supermarket and lots of restaurants.||If I’m being honest I could not recommend staying here, as I know you can get much better elsewhere. It’s a shame as Le Bergerac has the potential to be a great hotel, but as I said before it does need some TLC.

I travel a lot with tour groups and the hotels can vary. However, of all the mixed hotels I’ve experienced particularly in central/south America , this has to be the very worst. It should be closed and renovated. So I got my|Room 24, what a let down! First thing I noted was that the bed linen hadn’t been changed only straightened out and even at that all sheets were very wrinkled, had brown stains and smelt of man sweat. The night Porter was super helpful sending me to another room with what looked like clean sheets. The safes also didn’t work in both rooms

The rooms and bed were fine, the rooms were quiet and away from the main road but we were expecting AC but our rooms mini split was apparently broken. We asked to moved to a room with working AC and miraculously all units in all rooms were broken! The room was cheap so i can't complain too much.

Rooms are basic but clean. Rooms windows do not close letting noise and bugs into room. Good wifi. Steps to Rooms. Lots of STREET noise.

A very beautiful and accommodating hotel. My wife and I arrived in the middle of the night. The staff was patient, kind and quick to communicate. The room was nice, simple and clean. Breakfast was delicious. The staff answered all of our questions and made arrangements to help us out. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing to go local and dodge Holiday Inns.

So... In short. Probably go somewhere else. The rooms are in need of an upgrade. They did have cute really old furniture. The walls are super thin, you can hear the tv from the neighbors room. Also the sink and the water from the shower. It is very noisy. If you are a light sleeper, this is not going to work. You can hear the train and lots and lots of cars pass by. The place where you park is only accessed through this one door that is always locked, so getting to your car is not easy. Also getting in and out is kinda difficult, to get in you stand by the gate and this really loud doorbell, which is also heard from the room, starts sounding and keeps going, it's like a sensor thing. To get out it also takes a while. Also. Breakfast is only served for an hour and 45 mins. They have this sheet on the back of the door saying this. I was not aware of that. I have attached the picture of the paper. I got there 2 mins afterwards, there were still people in the restaurant and they would not serve me. Zero acomodating, I've had other hotels hold on for 5-10 minutes until everyone has had breakfast. No one helps you with your bags. It's not really 3 stars. Maybe at some point they were. So, in short go somewhere else. I also did not like the door locking situation, especially for a solo woman traveling. It's just a simple door that locks every time you close the door. I also saw dead bugs everywhere. I guess it's better than live bugs.
