Did not feel welcomed. No glasses in room so had to ask for one and told I would have to pay for it. Stayed 3 days as joining a tour. The rooms are nice and big. If you are on 2nd floor you have to ask reception to help. Breakfast abysmal. Staff seemed totally disinterested. Other tour members also stayed there who also complained. Tour company changed plans so wouldn't have to go back there. Hotel has alot of potential . Stop putting up notices everywhere. Welcome your guests . Service the rooms. I was there for 3 days and completely ignored . No fresh towels. As a independent travel agent would not recommend. We then travelled around CR and other hotels very welcoming

This hotel is horrible. When we checked in, we were offered a room that had two beds, none of which had fresh bed sheets. After requesting another room, it turned out housekeeping hadn’t changed them. The second room was also gross and dirty. The bathroom was filthy, all the walls had stains on them. Hot water and water in general was intermittent. When we slept, it was raining. In the morning, the ceiling of the bathroom was dripping. I really don’t understand how G Advebtures includes this hotel on their “top seller” 16-day tour. Totally unacceptable and it’s a joke.

We like the overall stay here. The room was good, the premise is very beautiful and makes you feel like staying in a cozy Spanish style hotel. Their breakfast was very reasonable cost and good quality. I giving three stars due to the toilet connection. Toilet was very dirty, yellow stains and the worst part was that there was a sign near the toilet roll that said Do Not flush the toilet paper. Kindly put them into the trash can!!!!! ☹️☹️☹️. The flush was not working properly. Next day I also checked with another person in the group and she had the same sign in her bathroom. I think this is Not except able for the hotel business. We stayed there during our trip with Intrepid. I totally understand the issue with the sewage system. We were able to fully use the toilet in home stay commuting but not that this hotel. I really recommend that hotel should install the bidet.

I can't recommend this hotel, despite its pretty front garden, old world appeal and really nice breakfast that was included in my room rate (do check it is included though when you book). The attitude of the staff was so unhelpful when there was a serious problem with my room in the night. I later got a partial refund with the help of my tour guide, but it didn't make up for such a terrible experience.

I stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of a tour. From both stays in two different rooms I concluded the same thing. The accomodation is not very clean and the street noise between 12-6am on a Friday + Saturday makes sleeping difficult. The following photos are from the second stay. Unclean bedding, lots of dust and a bathroom in need of a deep clean. There was a cockroach in the room in the morning. On my first stay I found dirt and insect pieces on the sheets. The location is near a really cool neighbourhood. I think you could probably get better value elsewhere in the neighbourhood

Don't even bother coming here . Rude and apathetic staff ,dirty rooms, below average food . You can do way better for this price. The building has nice potential for a great hotel but until new management comes the only thing going for it is there is always vacancy

Family run hotel desperately in need of updating and some TLC. I stayed in two different rooms at the start and beginning of a tour, so this is not a hotel I chose and booked. The rooms themselves are actually a really good size, and the bathrooms are massive. The furniture in the rooms are ok, and both beds were comfortable. But cleanliness of both rooms was below par, and had maintenance issues that could be easily fixed. Cleanliness: floors were filthy and gritty - when I stepped out of the shower I could see how dirty the floors (and my feet) were. Towels were dated and in my opinion unclean. I questioned whether or not they’d actually been changed after the previous guests because of how dirty they were. There’s a notice on the bathroom wall asking guests not to use the towels for cleaning their shoes or removing makeup, but if there’s dirt on the towels it’s not from cleaning shoes - it’s probably from cleaning the dirty floor from their feet. Maintenance: plug socket behind side table was hanging off the wall and electrical wiring was exposed. Broken window in bathroom (not covered with insect screens) allowing insects and the elements in. Both of my rooms had doors leading to an outside seating area. This has the potential to be a really beautiful space, but the area was overgrown and the furniture uninviting. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as I opted to eat out each morning. Location of the hotel is good - close to a supermarket and lots of restaurants. If I’m being honest I could not recommend staying here, as I know you can get much better elsewhere. It’s a shame as Le Bergerac has the potential to be a great hotel, but as I said before it does need some TLC.

I travel a lot with tour groups and the hotels can vary. However, of all the mixed hotels I’ve experienced particularly in central/south America , this has to be the very worst. It should be closed and renovated. So I got my|Room 24, what a let down! First thing I noted was that the bed linen hadn’t been changed only straightened out and even at that all sheets were very wrinkled, had brown stains and smelt of man sweat. The night Porter was super helpful sending me to another room with what looked like clean sheets. The safes also didn’t work in both rooms
