The Bibent is undeniably a beautiful space, in the Belle-Époque style. Nothing out of the ordinary if one is familiar with traditional French food, but why change something that’s already pretty fantastic? Try the classic Cassoulet, but if it’s something sweet you are looking for, then the Bibent Millefeuille is an absolute steal!

It’s happen to feel surprise that the meal doesn’t cost me as expensive as I thought, with the look and taste that beyond the amount I pay ! Combine with these elements; good vibe, amazing service, amazing interior decoration, at the heart of downtown location, very very next to Place du Capitole. It’s good to be here !! Only recommendation is “please make reservation” if you want to sit inside the restaurant and enjoy the painting at the ceiling.

Good food set in a beautiful building with a good ambiance. We enjoyed our starters, the scallops were delicious, although I had entrecôte main which was unfortunately tough. In addition we ordered wine and probably wanted a further drink or coffees however after initial service we were left alone so another missed opportunity in terms of additional revenue. All in all a pleasant evening and I would go back but perhaps not chose the steak!

Amazing atmosphere, it feels like you're at a dinner party with the King of France. Menu in french only. The snails🐌 were delicious . Polite and friendly staff. Leek, in my opinion, cannot be a separate dish. It was the first course of menu of the day, but it was awful.

Unique, beautiful and delicious place in dowtown Toulouse. The place itself is captivating, a mid-19 th century restaurant will be enough to have a delicious experience. Food was good as well, it was a great experience, beautiful served and good quality, not remarkabky unique dishes though but not a tourist trap. The place is small though, so it can get a bit noisy as it gets full. Also, the toilets are clean but small and nothing to do with the spactacular dinning room. Service was friendly, but again, as more people arrived it got slow and impersonal.

why didn't you let us sit by the window when we asked? they were totally unoccupied. we were curtly told a cold "No." by your young waitress. your wait staff urgently need more training in how to address your diners, especially the young ones who look like they're still studying. food ok, wine selection good. lentils for lunch menu mains were bit basic. your best dish wasn't even made by you but from Xavier fromagerie - his cheeses are godsent divine. tops.

Good food and atmosphere You will need a booking to get a seat inside the iconic restaurant. We sat outside, but all is still good

Steak was chewy, but the setting is magnificent. When we told them about the steak the serveur said ‘sorry’ but no reduction in price. Disappointing meal, and after they served us a drink we didn’t see them again.

It was fancy restaurant with elegant dining room. The food, while lack of sophisticated touch, was fresh, and properly cooked. The service was poor though , way below the industrial standard, in my view. Our waitress (a very petty sized short haired young lady) didn’t ask my husband how he would want the veal chop steak he ordered. She just decided to serve him a well done veal chop. She also carelessly told me oysters I ordered as starter was cooked, not raw, when I politely told her several times that I only want cooked oysters. Then she served me raw oysters, totally uncooked. When I questioned her about this, her answer: “in French, this is cooked.” Really??!! In short, this was the worst restaurant experience we ever had during the last several years of traveling in Europe. And unfortunately it happened in an apparently elegant restaurant. It was a shame.

Yelp
This restaurant is racist and the food is horrible. We arrived 30 minutes before our reserved time. The entire restaurant was empty. The waitress led us to the back of the restaurant and to a table directly in front of the toilet/kitchen. We sat for 15 minutes and watched how every single customer was led to better tables located at the opposite section of the restaurant and far away from us. The same waitress came and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I decided to play along and ordered still water. Throughout the entire lunch, we observed how tap water was placed on the tables once the customers sat down. Yet we were not offered tap water throughout the entire meal. When the bill came, I asked the waitress if there was special reason to sit us in front of the toilet when the entire restaurant was empty at the time. She did not say anything. I then told her that we usually gave tips. But since we had ordered the still water that she recommended, we would not leave any tips this time. We stayed in France for over 3 weeks during our trip. This was by far the worst food we had ever tasted. Both of us did not finish our dishes because the food was tasteless. Our conclusion was that the chef either deliberately cooked badly for us or his/her taste buds were badly damaged. The chef had to try very hard to make every single dish so bland. For customers with colored skins, take your money to elsewhere. You should be respected. For all other customers, there are many restaurants in Toulouse offering fantastic food at the same or better price. They are just 5-10 minutes walk away. Do not be fooled by the decoration. It is a tourist trap.

Yelp
Hardest meat I've ever been served at a restaurant, but sauce was very good. Will ever ever come back to it.

Yelp
Read up on this place before dining and oh boy did it live up to its expectations. We were only in Toulouse for one night (however in France for two weeks) and this was the best food we had on our entire trip. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were professional and very nice. We enjoyed "Œuf mollet croustillant, Tomates et poivrons confits au lard, pistou de basilic" which was a boiled egg over Candied bacon and roasted tomatoes and peppers with basil pesto...Absolutely amazing! For the main course I had the "Epaule d'agneau de lait du Pays Basque confite, Haricots maïs du Béarn au jus corsé" which was a lamb shoulder with white beans in a amazing sauce. Honestly it was some of the best lamb I have ever had. I am so glad we looked this place up and the reviews were on spot on. Pricey, however highly recommend. Great for dates.

Yelp
As said by other reviewers, this is the MOST BEAUTIFUL restaurant of Toulouse without a doubt. Located on the already beautiful Place du Capitole, the gold and painted ceiling as well as the view will leave you breathless. The prices are very affordable: around 20$ for a 3-course lunch menu, week-ends included. If you order outside of the menu or at dinner, the prices DO rise a lot. The dishes are refined, Chef Constant is well-known in France for his cooking (ex-chef at the Crillon and the Ritz in Paris) and for being on the show Top Chef. The portions are not huge but you will not leave hungry at all. Some of the delicious dishes we had there include: tagliatelles of calamar, the carre d'agneau, l'espadon... We were also eyeing someone's burger, seemed delicious! Regarding the desserts, Constant's famous chocolate tart is good but nothing mind-blowing either. His mille-feuille is enormous but surprisingly light/airy(?)! Also, the cocktails are very good. We had the chef's special one with champagne. The blonde waitress nicely wrote & gave us the recipe! All the staff is friendly, not pretentious and speak English. This is the perfect place for a romantic lunch or even for business! FYI: there is a little terrace at front with umbrellas.

Yelp
Excellent brasserie in the heart of Toulouse. I've dined here several times and it has always been an outstanding meal with huge focus on good ingredients. The food is typically southern French, and choices are difficult. The foie gras is a good starter, and they do anything poultry really well. But hey, you're in southern France so there's only so much to go wrong.

Yelp
I dined with a group of 6, reservations recommended, and are easy to make from the website. The service was above average especially paying close attention to my gluten allergy concerns. When I informed the waiter about my allergy, he pointed to the items I could order. Surprisingly, there were many choices. Then another person from the restaurant came to our table to verify everything I had ordered was ok. All our food was delicious. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because paying the bill separately was difficult. I understand that separate checks are not done in Europe however, our waiter told us he could accommodate this request and even wrote the orders down on separate papers. At the end of the meal, we had to go to the bar and each person had to tell that person what they had ordered so that individual checks could be printed.

Yelp
High class breakfast at laymen prices. The room itself is quite spectacular, making you feel you're dining experience is the main event at an opera. Some may feel it's bordering pretentious. We tried it because, well, it just seemed very different. And the prices weren't any more than the very standard hotel buffet in our hotel next door. You can have your breakfast here and pretend you're some noble person from a century long gone....

Yelp
This is an excellent restaurant owned by a well known chef, Christian Constant, that operates the restaurant le Violon D'Ingres in Paris. This restaurant serves an excellent lamb stew and cod entrees. Decent desserts. Very good service. Outside tables are nice with view of the main square.

Yelp
The building is amazing, the American pop music had nothing to do with the ambience. Service is very poor..the server pulled the table to give me some space and left it out there, I had to pull back, and when I left I did all the work, pushing the table out, and I am a senior. Pumpkin soup had no salt and I had to wait awhile to get a server's attention. Foie gras was good but salad on the plate had no seasoning..quite disappointing, considering the fabulous building.

Yelp
Great place! The most beautiful restaurant I have been to in Toulouse. The location on Place Capitol doesn't hurt either. My husband and I celebrated an anniversary here in April. We each had a starter, main course and shared a dessert. The food was delicious and fresh and I was sad that I couldn't finish it all. This is probably not a place that many people can frequent due to the prices, but it is definitely deserving of a trip or two throughout the year. We will be back and I can't wait to bring my parents here when they visit this summer.

Yelp
Took customers out for dinner here. We tried most of everything on the menu as there were seven of us. My customers thought the dishes were too salty and I agree. I also think it's too rich. I had white breaded fish over spinach. For appetizers, we had breaded deep fried prawn, salmon oysters tartar, Caesar salad, and pate. Service was bad. The waiters in white jackets were rude and obnoxious. The English menu does not have any seafood dishes. One of my customer does not eat red meat and asked for fish or seafood. Waiter gave me menu in French. When asked for help with translation, waiter just shrugged and walked away. I gave restaurant one star because after my complaint about waiter in white jacket to waiter in black jacket, he personally wait on us and help with translating the menu.

Yelp
A strong contender for my favorite restaurant in Toulouse. Fantastic gascon food on the main place in a beautiful baroque setting.

Yelp
Great restaurant We ate here two nights, once upstairs and the second time in a more intimate setting downstairs, where conversation and lighting are more amenable to fine dining. Both times the food was excellent. It was nicely presented and satisfied our (my wife's and mine) desire for fine local French cuisine. We hade been living in France two months and had visited the country many times in past years. This is the first time we felt we had magnificent food without having to take out a bank loan. That is not to say that the food is inexpensive, just that it is worth the price. We will eat here again the next time we are in Toulouse.
