It was fancy restaurant with elegant dining room. The food, while lack of sophisticated touch, was fresh, and properly cooked. The service was poor though , way below the industrial standard, in my view. Our waitress (a very petty sized short haired young lady) didn’t ask my husband how he would want the veal chop steak he ordered. She just decided to serve him a well done veal chop. She also carelessly told me oysters I ordered as starter was cooked, not raw, when I politely told her several times that I only want cooked oysters. Then she served me raw oysters, totally uncooked. When I questioned her about this, her answer: “in French, this is cooked.” Really??!!
In short, this was the worst restaurant experience we ever had during the last several years of traveling in Europe. And unfortunately it happened in an apparently elegant restaurant. It was a shame.
