Le Blé Noir

As someone with gluten intolerance, finding safe and tasty dining options can be challenging. Le Blé Noir was a delightful discovery during my time in Rio. They offer a generous selection of gluten-free galettes made with buckwheat flour, ensuring both safety and flavor. The taste was so memorable that I found myself returning multiple times throughout my stay. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. Whether you’re gluten-intolerant or simply a fan of French cuisine, Le Blé Noir is a must-visit spot in Copacabana.

I was hesitant to try crepes in Brazil having eaten many in France but after a week of terrible vegetarian food (in Recife) something different was appealing. The menu is refreshingly interesting and the crepes were delicious! Good options for vegetarians.

This restaurant is in my top 3 in Copacabana, the crepes are absolutely delicious. The salmon was tasty and the drinks well prepared. I also ordered a Nutella crepe flambée. The service was excellent and our food served in no time. We arrived as soon as the restaurant ordered so we didn’t need to wait at the front. We paid R$ 364 for the main course crepes, 2 dessert crepes and 3 cocktails. They bring the bill a heart shaped biscuit box with the Bretagne flag. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the best meals I've had in Rio recently. Well worth a try, you won't be disappointed. Nice reasonably priced wine selection as well.

THE best crepés in Rio de Janeiro!!! This cozy and adorable place is filled with several savory and sweet options. The Kir Royal adds to the French experience and if you're into Emily in Paris (Netflix) you will likely enjoy it here. Open for dinner only. They don't take same day reservations.

It is an authentic French creperie with buckwheat. There are a lot of options with goat, sheep and cow cheese. The portions are large but not enough to split. I ordered the benodet crepe that has duck meat. It was delicious. My boyfriend ordered Quimper that has goat cheese, honey and almonds. It was very tasty but I recommend only for people that like sweet plates. Their cidra is also very good but they have plenty of options of wine. I also suggest to arrive early, the restaurant is not too big so it often has a waiting list.

Delicious dessert crepes and drinks for after dinner. The waiters were nice and understood our broken French + Portuguese. If I get the chance to, I want to try their savory crepes another time!

We sat inside, a quaint, romantic ambiance. Our table decided to share dishes and we were not let down with the recommendations of the server. The top 3 crepes were Cancale, Loctudy and Ouessant. Not many vegan options but they were accommodating.

French crepe place that's very unassuming. Pleasant surprise of the quality of my crepe. I ordered the Fréhel crepe. Shrimp with grapes and mushrooms. My first time having a savory crepe. It was most delicious. Finished it off Plogastel crepe. 4 mini (but not small) crepes frilled with vanilla ice cream, topped with strawberries and heavy chocolate syrup (almost like a hot fudge for ice cream). Oh, so good. One order filled up three of us. Good attentive service. No complaints here. A very nice change from Brazilian food.

Came back about a month ago, still the best restaurant in Rio! Gotta get the fig crape, it's the best!

Really nice little restaurant. Service was good and my crepe was excellent and had a crust I guess you could call it unlike any other I had before. Lots of interesting options on the menu. Would definitely go back.

The chease filled crêpe was a littlebit hard. But the salad that goes with it was delicious. The highlight was cider, just like in France!

If you are looking for the most amazing crepes ever, look no further. This french owned restaurant offers up the bests crepes I have EVER tried. Their special blend of dark flour makes these crepes crispy and delicious. The choices of toppings are elaborate and refined. The ambiance is simple yet cozy. With an attentive staff. Just expect to wait to get a table, but totally worth it.
