They have a very good deal on the lunch menu but it's a 3 course set menu but we had decided not to eat too much so we ordered from the à la carte. Food was great service was good. The reason I had given a 4 stars was the waitress didn't bring us mayonnaise and my husband mentioned the missing mayonnaise when he was paying the bill the waitress said the mayonnaise is out of stock.

Lovely atmosphere & decoration. The service was amazing. The duck was undercooked. The pork belly taste was great but was quite tough in texture. But overall the experience was nice

Amazing food. Certainly a place to visit if you’re here in Bordeaux. The prices are reasonable taking into account the ambiance and the quality and taste of the food. There was a problem with our food and they solved it and took great care of us. The egg is a great starter and the burger was exquisite. The best part was our kind waitress Elisa, who speaks not only French but also English and Spanish. Made the experience and attention 10 times better. Would definitely come back.

I had an incredible first-time experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining environment. The location was also perfect, adding to the overall experience. The starters were equally delightful, offering a burst of freshness. The burrata salad was creamy and indulgent, while the cucumber gazpacho provided a refreshing sensation. The sea bass was a highlight, melting in my mouth with its delicious flavors. Chunk meat was amazing choice,Even the kids’ menu impressed me with its amazing and fancy options. The dessert was so good that I couldn’t resist eating it before taking photos! Thank you to the entire team and the chef for an unforgettable dining experience.

We had a great experience. We were at the terrasse with a great view at Bordeaux Opera. Food is amazing. Services are quick and friendly. The restaurant is very beautiful. Price wise is friendly compared to quantity and quality. I definitely recommend it.

We went the day before our reservation by mistake but they were very gracious about it. Our server Leo was amazing. It was our first dinner in Bordeaux and it exceeded our expectations. The truffle pasta side was amazing!

Google
Nice cafe facing the Bordeaux Grand Theatre opera, great food. A bit of slow Service, but also because it was full and during lunch hours it’s expected. It’s at the centre of the town. A spot to people watch and enjoy a meal.

Went for a Saturday night dinner. Food is really good, sharp, properly executed. The Fillet was perfectly cooked and tasted like heaven along with the spicy potatoes. Dessert selection is minimal and not really exciting, but the lemon tart with basil was good. Service was very fast, maybe too fast and yet I didn't feel that the waiting staff cares so much - wasn't offered with a wine nor water refill, they brought the main course as they took the plate from the starter. Pricing is on the higher end (6 euros for an espresso, really?!). Located inside the historic hotel the interior could have been a bit more classy, but nothing special

Yelp
Not sure why this place was not minimum of 4 stars. The food was solid, the location is solid and the service from Etienne was super! We tried a number of things on the menu and enjoyed a couple bottles of Bordeaux region Pinot noir (it was "Winesday" so bottles were 50% off). Take in the beautiful layout of the restaurant and hotel. If we come back to this area, we will hit this spot for sure! Merci Etienne for great service and guidance with the menu!

Yelp
Great restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel. Food and view was great. If the have that lamb shank on the mine it's a must try. One of the best I've had! Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal including cucumber mint gazpacho, beef w bordelaise sauce, gnocchi and side of ricotta tomato pasta. All delicious, well prepared and our server Axelle was attentive and a delightful personality.

Yelp
Had dinner with a group of eight and at least five were very disappointed. The burgers were dry and served on brioche bins that fell apart when picked up. The pasta with fresh burrata and pesto was absolute mush and had no flavor. The fish of the day which was pollock was very dry and bland. We should have known better than eating in a hotel, restaurant but the arrangements had been made by a respected tour operator. The only bright spot were the value Bordeaux wines and our waiter Maxine. If you want a good meal this is a place to avoid

Yelp
Food was really good, not exceptional. Lobster Bisque was a win, but very expensive at (27 euros). In Bordeaux it is typical to get a 3-course meal for 20 euros. The Stone Bass was well prepared but needed some salt, the fish n'chips were good - comparable to what you'd get in Boston. The view and ambiance are A+. It is a Gordon Ramsey restaurant that is part of the intercontinental hotel. If you don't mind spending some extra cash, I'd recommend checking it out.

Yelp
Very good food and excellent service. Our waiter Medhi was so friendly and warm with a great smile. Caviar was delicious. Lemon merengue delicious, fish and chips the best!!

Yelp
We went in for diner quite late and was lucky enough to have a place. It was supposed to be full but sometimes showing at the door does the trick. We were told to wait at the rooftop bar which was incredible. Probably the best view of the city. It wasn't long before we could be seated downstair. it's very nice looking and comfortable. After ordering wine, we received the first course. I' m not kidding, it was the best snails i've had in my entire life! I wish i've had another plate as main course, that's how good they were. It's a must-try when in Bordeaux.

Yelp
Given Gordon Ramsay's notoriety for traveling around America teaching restaurants how to better themselves in 24 hours, one would think the restaurant with his own name on it would be much better than it is. I stayed at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel last week and ate at the restaurant twice. Here's what my experience was. First night I ordered a bottle of Sancere. It was appropriately chilled and presented in an iced bucket which was set on the opposite side of the table from me. I was eating alone. A glass had been poured for me by the waiter. It went down the hatch promptly and I wanted another from my bottle. For while I didn't see the waiter. When he finally passed by, I lifted my empty glass to him. He nodded and walked to another table. Not until I got up and brought the bucket closer to me did he realize he should be pouring for me. For dinner I ordered the lobster bisque first. It was good. REALLY good. Then I ordered the Magret d' Canard RARE. One could argue that it came medium. Another might say it was medium rare, but it was not "rare". For desert I ordered the single serving "Baked Alaska". The waitress explained that she couldn't set it alight because it was too breezy. Okay...... The second night I ordered the Octopus. It was tough as rubber. There's a little Italian restaurant a mile from my home on Long Island, Gordon, that also serves Octopus. It's as tender as octopus can get. I know the owner. If you'd like to stop in and have him teach you or your chef how to prepare octopus, I'm sure he'd oblige. I asked a waiter how often Ramsay stops in to check on the restaurant. Twice a year. Better step it up Gordon because the meals here are not worthy of a world world-renowned chef. Very disappointing and VERY expensive.

Yelp
We were hesitant given some of the older poorer reviews Boy... 5 star all the way My wife ordered the Stone Bass which was phenomenal The Lobster Bisque was to die for My duck breast was medium rare as ordered and very tender And the lemon meringue pie was scrumptious We always eat at the highest end goody restaurants And neither of us were disappointed Good job! Yelp
Have not read previous reviews, but did not think this restaurant was worth the calories. We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat at the restaurant when one in our party was sick. It was extremely slow in service, despite the lack of customers. The food was adequate, but failed on the delivery of food to the correct person. We ordered really nice wine, but had to serve ourselves. Not too professional, complete lack of service. Also there were a few mistakes on our bill - always hate having to correct.

Yelp
Tonight's feast - started with ham, bottle of red Bordeaux wine, ravioli stuffed with duck and mushroom (soooooo good) and langoustine risotto (one of the best risotto ever)! It's 38e for three course meal which is more on the expensive side but I can definitely see why!

Patrick F.

Yelp
Positive: lobster bisque good Negative: beef Wellington way overdone , slow service, inattentive service, pedestrian chips, boring vegetables. Tip: reservation not needed. No problem getting a table at any time I'd guess. Short: underwhelmed and way below expectations, likely you, like me, will be disappointed

Paul L.

Yelp
You will be overwhelmed with the staff greetings, seating arraignments and food service. The menu is typical French in style and the preparation is in the same class as a Parisian restaurant. Best in class in this vibrant city. By the way, enjoy a chilled bottle of white dry Bandeaux. Yum!!!! .

Kellie S.

Yelp
Expected more for the experience. Our waitress was inattentive - multiple tables had to flag her down very explicitly. While the wine selection was good, the signature Beef Wellington was not prepared well at all. The tenderloin being over cooked and the pastry underdone and a bit soggy.
