We had a very nice stay at a charming family hotel located right in the heart of Quebec City, close to all the main attractions such as Old Quebec, Château Frontenac, and the Saint Lawrence riverfront, which made it very easy to get around on foot. The rooms were not large but cozy, and there was a rooftop that could be used. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was varied and delicious.

The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated. The rooms are comfortable. A special thank you to the lady at breakfast who was very caring. The food is also exquisite. No doubt, this was the best breakfast we had during our entire stay in Québec.

Sooo many other fun options around, do not stay here.||We recently did an impromptu one night stay here based on recommendations of some associates of ours who work at the nearby Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. What a terrible recommendation. It was a sweltering hot day when we checked in and we informed the staff that our air conditioner was barely working, the room was humid, and could they please provide us with a fan. The front desk staff were super friendly but informed us that their last fan had just been given away (so clearly this was a known issue). Barring the fact that competent management at this point should have stepped up to do something a bit more innovative for their guests such as buy more fans, we decided to go out and and hope that things were better in the room when we got back. Upon return during their afterhours (after 22h00) we nearly slipped and fell the floors of the hotel room were so humid. Everything from the floor to the drapperies were humid. Exhausted from the long hot day and having no staff available on the premise, we somehow managed to fall asleep. The next morning when we went to get a change of toilet paper and spare towel from under the sink, to our horror we discovered everything underneath the sink was wet from humidity and not usable whatsover. It was unbelievably disgustinging. Wanting to quickly depart but since it was paid in our fees, we decided to go to their ''amazing'' breakfast and then leave. At checkout, not once were we asked ''how was your stay?'' so we then took it upon ourselves to write a review and message to the hotel informing them of the disagreable stay and how would they like to address it. Their response was equally telling of their incompetent management as they said basically something to the tune of, ''thanks for letting us know for future stays.'' We were then admonished for the fact of not reporting everythign immediately, after they admitted to their errors with, ''...you should have informed us of these issues when they were happening but since you slept in the room and had our paid for breakfast there is no compensation to be offered to you...''. What!? Seriously, what kind of response is that to your client? Also what kind of response is that to a client who did in fact complain the night before, but had just decided to be kinder and not pursue the issue at the moment because we were already exhausted from long hours on the road and walking the city during a heatwave.||Had we been given a proper response I would likely have let the matter go and chuck it up to an unpredicably hot weekend but the response of their management team has been appalling. It demonstrates a complete lack of respect for the guest/client and does nothing to actually address their concerns. Next steps for us then are to file a formal complaint via l'Office de la protection du consommateur regarding their ''hygiène et salubrité'' as well as notifying L'Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ). There is without a doubt in my mind, mold in their basement/basement rooms (we we sliding on it on the floor).||Forgive the rant (it has been that bad of an experience to merit one) but last but not least, the people raving about the breakfast here have clearly never had a proper continental breakfast before. The bagels are grocery store quality, same as the paté, and the room is small and crowded with one basic waffle maker. The most exciting thing was a yogurt bar but heck, we could have done that ourselves chez Metro. Absolutely nothing fancy or special about this breakfast.||To end a more positive note, the direct interactions with their immediate staff were great and the breakfast server truly amazing. Dealing with the management side of things however has been truly a nightmare. Amateurs in customer service to say the least.

Room was nice and cozy. Waterfall shower and regular shower head. Forgot to reserve parking, but there was a parking lot only 1 block away. Very convenient location, and nice area to explore.

This is an old and charming building with lots of character. The rooms are clean, stylish, and thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious, with plenty of great food options. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful spot on the Grande Allee in Quebec City, a short distance from the St. Louis gate entering Old Quebec.|Very, very unique artisan style. The breakfast had wonderful choices available. A rooftop patio, but we didn't make it up there, (maybe next time). Parking on site.

Liked it! Not gonna a lie, quite expensive for one night only but I booked kind of a last minute. Despite this, it is a nice hotel, is like staying at an art gallery! The decoration is so nice and elegant, the breakfast is included and it was so yummy, the ambiance is so calm and the service is very good! The reason I am giving 4 🌟 is that the day I arrived, they decided to do some remodeling work in the room next to mine and I could hear the hammer and the drilling, which was very unpleasant, other than that, I liked the hotel.

Yelp
The C3 Hôtel is a beautifully appointed space in a lovely neighbourhood with easy access to public transportation. If it had a higher level of service, it would be 4 or 5 star, but for now it appears to suffer from staff shortage common in Québec. Our room was in the basement, which was airy and comfortable and light. There are 5 rooms located downstairs, in "the underground". Room 500 is in the lowest part of a 175 year old house, however, and sometimes the room got sewer odour, mostly in the mornings. Our toilet and sink did not drain/flush as well at those times. Not a deal breaker, one should just be aware. Overall the room was great, lots of space, quiet. Unfortunately our check-in was bumpy. The reception person was training a staff, and forgot what she was doing midway through our check-in as a flustered woman ran up to the desk speaking rapidly in french. We stood there as both staff were distracted by this woman, and on retrieving one staff's attention, she seemed surprised we were still there. I pointed out we had not been given our keys. She passed us an unmarked set of keys and returned her gaze to the flustered woman, who was being attended to by the other staff. It was like once again we had vanished into thin air before the receptionists' eyes! I had to interrupt AGAIN to ask what our room number was and where we should go to get to the room. Oy... There is a breakfast room offering a nice place to sit, dishes, and coffee/hot water 24/7. Sadly they do not offer breakfast in this room yet, it is bagged breakfast dropped at your door, which of course they don't tell you until after booking. I quite dislike this, given multiple food sensitivities (they never ask, by the way) and just general waste. This was the experience, the bagged breakfast was definitely below average, muffins were inedible. There is an envelope to tip the housekeeper, but housekeeping did not visit once, not even to empty garbage, nor were we ever offered fresh towels or anything during our 3 night stay. We're pretty low maintenance, but I'm surprised no one even knocked or called. It's a small place, only 24 rooms, why such poor communication with the guests? Nice hotel, great location, needs better service.

Yelp
"There were few options near old Quebec City since I booked the room only about a month before our trip. Thankfully, the room exceeded our expectations. Even though it is in the hotel's basement, the room felt open and airy. The decor was very cool and modern, the staff warm and gracious, the food delicious (especially the croissants). Since I missed my Westie, I appreciated the company of the hotel owner's dog :-) Note the neighborhood is a bit posh and worth exploring, particularly National Battlefields Park. Tip: The best meal we had on vacation was not in touristy old Quebec City, but in Le Moine Echanson, which is walking distance from C3 Hotel Art De Vivre."
