The owner is French - very authentic food. She is also very nice and friendly. The food is excellent and so is the coffee. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rotorua. The only complaint I have is that it is rather pricey; we mostly go on special occasions. If it were less expensive, we would definitely go more often. Note that the restaurant itself is not very large so it does tend to fill up during normal meal times.

Planned a visit here with my family on a quick Easter break. Welcomed with a smile. The food was phenomenal. The service was fantastic and despite being told, our food would be 15 to 20 minutes because they were so busy, in just over 10 minutes our party of eight was served. My kids were absolutely in love with all of their choices, a fantastic selection of beautifully well prepared food.

Absolutely loved the experience of dining at Le Cafe De Paris in Rotorua. What a beautiful atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and made you feel at home as soon as you walked in the door. I loved all of the Paris memorabilia, it took me back to when I visited Paris and now I want to go back. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered toasties and French crepes… superb! The crepes were incredible, and melted in the mouth. Food came out so quickly! I cannot wait until my next visit, I will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Merci

I have never been to Paris but I am guessing that when you enter Le Cafe De Paris that is what a cafe might feel like in Paris France. The atmosphere is amazing. The pictures all over the walls. The smell of fresh baked goods and food being prepared takes you far away yet you are here in this little fantastic cafe. Watching the owner make the crepes was great. She was so skilful. The food was amazing and the everyday breakfast was so with the value. It’s a shame I have never been to this place before even after coming to Rotorua since 2002. We had the everyday breakfast, crepes suzettes, almond croissants, pot of tea and a Latte. Lovely service and great food.

Absolutely love this cafe and the food served here. Watching the galettes in the making is pretty special, and the omelettes are outstanding. Great coffee too, and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved my experience at Le Cafe de Paris in Rotorua! The food was fantastic, especially the crepe — generously portioned and absolutely delicious. The crepe has a touch of sweetness, so if you're not big on sweet treats, I’d recommend letting them know your preference. The cafe exudes a charming French vibe that truly made me feel like I was transported straight to France. The staff were polite and friendly, and service was impressively quick. Overall, a wonderful spot for a taste of France in Rotorua — I’ll definitely be returning!

Très bien! What a lovely café in the heart of Rotorua! We came across Paris Café while walking around the city centre and were greeted by such friendly staff. We ordered a big brekkie and two crêpes to share—banana & Nutella, and lemon & sugar. Both were delicious! I loved the aesthetics of the café—decorated with charming French-themed details, it had such a cute and cozy vibe. It was quite packed, but that just added to the lively atmosphere. A great spot for both sweet tooths and savoury lovers. Highly recommend!

Le Café de Paris is a real gem in Rotorua — it feels like you’ve stepped straight into a Parisian café. The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented; fresh pastries, perfect coffee, and generous portions at very reasonable prices. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The café itself is spotless, with a lovely French ambience and plenty of seating. It’s rare to find this level of quality and value together. Highly recommended for breakfast, brunch, or just a great coffee and croissant. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
An authentic French cafe in Rotorua NZ. Whodathunk? The Eggs Benedict was up to snuff and the chocolate and banana crepes were world class. Friendly service with a proper dry cappuccino kept me smiling throughout a relaxed breakfast experience. The orange juice could have been better, (a little odd tasting by American standards) but not enough to lower the rating of this little gem with a full 5 stars. We'll definitely be back again while visiting this cool city.

Yelp
fantastic little authentic place. All you can want for a European breakfast is there, plus a few more treats, like crepes and sandwiches. we went there every day for breakfast during our stay.

Yelp
Excellent crepes and service! The wait staff was particularly kind and courteous, suggesting menu items that were fantastic! True French flare and an excellent choice for breakfast/lunch.

Yelp
Très magnifique! C'est bon crêpes la framboise et un café. Je suis mangé à la café aujourd'hui et je étais très content. A cute little French café in the middle of New Zealand that serves the delicious crepes made on the spot. Must try! Very courteous French staff and they do speak English if you are curious.

Yelp
What a find this one was! My husband and I were honeymooning in New Zealand and staying at a hotel right next door for the night. My husband was entering the dangerous hangry state early in the morning so I offered to go search out breakfast while he showered. Lucky for me this adorable little place popped up on yelp in walking distance. This cafe was clearly a favorite of the locals. While I was standing dumbfounded by all my menu options, several individuals dressed in uniforms of various types came up and ordered themselves some breakfast to go. The owner was very friendly and helpful in pointing me to gluten free items on the list and I was over the moon when I realized that crepes were on that list. I hadn't had a crepe since i was diagnosed with celiac so this was a big day for me. I ordered the crepe of all crepes, the banana nutella (solid breakfast) and I got my husband an egg, bacon and toast breakfast. It was ready quickly and they ensured mine was prepared with gf precautions. While I waited I admired the design of the restaurant and how it clearly gave off the pride of a family owned establishment. Once I got the breakfast back to the hotel, the husband nommed his and said it was very good. He then stared longingly at my crepe I was savoring. Since I'd just tied myself to him for life a week before, I was feeling sappy and generous and offered him half my crepe which he agreed was fantastic. I wish we'd gotten a second one to go because I'm still dreaming about it! Price is competitive for other restaurants in the area and the food and service we enjoyed were great. Definitely a nice little gem.

Yelp
Love love love this place! Is was right next to our hotel which was also convenient Valerie came her 14 years ago and her crepes are to die for. My husband and I ate here before going to the thermal park. We got Le complete (egg with runny yolk, ham sliced and cheese in a crispy crepe) and Le salidou (homemade salted caramel and whipped cream on a regular crepe) This place was so good we came back after the thermal park and ordered the exact same things to go. One variation we did was to get the caramel crepe prepared crispy like the egg one was. Amazing. Best crepes imho One suggestion I would make to her is to sell them in those to go cones / wrappers so people can order them and eat on the go. Not sure if that's French tho. Lol

Yelp
A little cafe in the center of town. It was pretty quiet when we walked in around 3pm. My husband and I each ordered a crepe. I got the mushroom and he got the chicken. We both agreed that the crepes were excellent and poabably the best we ever had.

Yelp
This place is very friendly. The menu is the same. It seems a weird mix of kiwi and French - Lasagna (if that can be called kiwi) and other cheesy dishes under lights alongside classics such as French Onion soup - which is why I ventured to visit. A recommendation from a friend. The soup was yum. The first beef stock version I have eaten. My partner had a galette with mushrooms. That was nice too. The coffee was great. Nice milk. The apple crumble was delicious, light and good value at $4. The decor is quite twee, the location off the main drag. A steady stream of locals arriving the entire stretch of our visit prove its mainstream popularity.

Yelp
Located in centra Rotorua by Quest Hotel on Hinemoa st, This eatery serving early breakfast has a French touch, managed by a French woman who greeted us in French. The restaurant is very colorful, it's walls decked with travel stories of the owner of where she's been to, pictures and art. There were handful of round tables and rectangulars designed with centerpieces to note, they even have a Crepe/omelette station. I got the flat white and the savory NZ Galette packed with ham, cheese and fresh tomatoes. The Galette had a Fine crunch, the ham salted enough mixed with melted New Zealand cheese "oh la la!" as they say and the tomatoes were so ripe, I wanted more. The presentation and the quality of the food was very good. Don't let its small eatery fool you, the food is good, the workers are friendly and it's French style matches with with its message ,"ohh la la!" Rather than just it's pastries, the French do know how to cook.

Yelp
We stopped by here twice during our visit to Rotorua. Even my picky American teenager loved the food.

Yelp
One of the most memorable restaurants in all of New Zealand. Cafe de Paris is so charming and the owner is very kind. Went there for breakfast numerous times while visiting Rotorua. Very affordable- especially on a backpackers budget :)

Yelp
Lovely place. The lady (owner I am assuming) was French and I was able to speak to her in the language. We ordered the French onion soup, the caramel crepes, and an egg and bacon quiche. Everything was very delicious. I wish they had longer hours so we can eat there more often :-)
