Food was incredible. We ordered the pâté and the fennel salad (with grapefruit) to start, then the beef bourguignon as our mains, and a pear tarte for dessert. We also got 2 drinks each and the total came to around 60 euros per person. Would definitely come back again and again for the beef bourguignon itself. One star taken off for service because we didn’t get water for our table until the bills came around

Based upon recommendations from Les Frenchies YouTube video, we decided to try Cafe des Musees. It certainly didn’t disappoint! We had the snails in mushrooms (delicious!), Beef Bourguignon (true comfort food!) and desserts. It was a great evening and we can’t wait to come back with friends!

Google
Delicious Beef Bourguignon— beautifully served in a Staub pot to keep it warm. The food was divine, the service was mostly good and polite. I think the only problem was when we asked for butter with the bread (but that was our faux pas — even though the butter is delicious)

Outstanding in every facet. The servers were attentive and made our meal easy (we don’t speak French.) Delicious classic food at reasonable prices. A delightful experience.

Went there to try their famous Beef Bourguignon. Were seated on the ground floor of the Cafe. Found that they included Beef Bourguignon into their lunch sets and happily saved a few bucks while having their desserts. From the drinks menu we picked small bottles of water, but the beautiful waitress, who speaks perfectly fluent English, offered us the more budget option of a big bottle of water to share instead. You know the Cafe is definitely not a tourist trap when they don't just take easy money from foreign visitors. The meat is tender and matches perfectly with creamy mash potatoes. The serving size is just right to save a little space for dessert, and the creme caramel is the perfect ending to the meal. Warm service, great price, hearty food. Would recommend to anyone interested.

Google
We had a fantastic dinner, the service was amazing and the staff were awesome. We highly recommend this restaurant when in Paris.

Google
I was recorded to try this restaurant for their Beef Bourgogne. Food and service were very good. Menu prices were very reasonable compared to similar restaurants.

Google
4,7/5 Been twice to this typical French bistrot! Great decor, authentic Parisian vibe and very kind staff! Their signature dish is the bœuf bourguignon served in a casserole: very tasty, tender meat with delicious & perfect mashed potatoes! (Though not the best boeuf I’ve ever had but ranked in the top 5) The second time, we tried the côte de boeuf: succulent meat, savory, well seasoned with delicious baby potatoes. Well worth it! Nice selection of wine (Chateauneuf was exquisite). And their Mont blanc dessert was superb: unctuous chestnut cream with soft meringues… hands down the best dessert on the menu. The chocolate fondant was very tasty as well. Unmissable address for a true Parisian experience!

Yelp
In a sea of tourist traps we were able to escape to Marais in the 11th to dine on some authentic Parisian cuisine. It was a welcome reprieve and a wonderful experience! One of the best meals of our trip. We made a reservation earlier in the day and were seated at a cute bistro table right by the open concept kitchen which allowed us to see all the amazing food being prepared to order.   Food: The mushroom escargot were divine and came bubbling hot to the table. This appetizer had no shortage of parsley butter to dip the mushrooms in and the escargot were placed within the mushroom like little presents. Genius presentation and we much prefered it to the shells! My mom also enjoyed the foie gras to start and the bread was so fresh and crisp. For the main course we shared the beef bourgignon. This too came piping hot in a mini dutch oven served with a side of silky mashed potatoes. The beef was tender and falling apart! The sauce was more acidic than we had anticipated. Left us wondering if this was due to the wine or if vinegar was included in the sauces preparation. Dessert was the best we tasted in Paris, a classic creme brulee! A delicous meal.   Drink: We ordered the pinot noir that our waiter recommended would pair best with our dinner and it was a perfect pairing.

Yelp
Food: 2/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Another letdown for me. I had high expectations for this restaurant after doing some research. I ordered their famous Beef Bourguignon, escargot, and foie gras. Maybe this is an authentic place, but the dishes just weren't for me. The Beef Bourguignon portion was small, and the wine flavor was overpowering. The escargot needed more seasoning, and I have no comments on the foie gras. This is the third Beef Bourguignon I've tried, and it's my least favorite so far. I wouldn't return.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance is cute. Small restaurant so prepare to get cozy with your neighbors, but it's fun and homey. Good service. Good food and great wine. Rumored to have the best beef bourguignon in Paris so made reservations to come here which was available same day. We got the soup of the day (mushroom), duck foie gras, beef bourguignon, and the cheese plate. The soup was awesome. The duck I'm glad we tried but is not for me. Beef bourguignon was delicious, but so rich and thick and much more strongly flavored with wine than I was initially expecting based on times I've had it in the states. Still great. Cheese plate was small but can still be really filling with bread. Overall we had a great experience here and enjoyed the food and wine. Left full. Reasonably priced as well.

Yelp
After visiting the fabulous Musee Carnavolet-Histoire de Paris, the Mr and I chose the Cafe des Musees for a late lunch. It was one of the places we had enjoyed in 2014, during our first visit to Paris, and was hoping to repeat the experience. We both ordered the beef bourguignon, proclaimed the best in Paris on the menu. I had the fish soup, the Mr had mushrooms on a bed of greens, with an egg on top for our starters. We also ordered the lemon pie for dessert. Everything was delicious and our server was attentive. We were happy that even ten years later, through the Covid year, that Cafe des Musees is still a solid lunch choice

Yelp
Came here on a rainy afternoon. The food was OK, nothing incredible but does the trick. The ambiance is lovely and the waiters were very kind!

Yelp
Great service, ordered the Beef Bourguignon and it was perfect! They were pretty busy so make a reservation! Worth it!

Yelp
I came to Cafe des Musées after a recommendation from a friend for dinner. This was my first time in Paris, and my first meal. Up until this point, I hadn't needed to try to communicate with anyone yet. Although I knew I was in another country, it caught me really off guard that they could barely speak any English and it was hard for me to communicate with them. I don't blame the staff for that- I'm the one visiting their country, but based on all the reviews, I thought they could speak a little bit more English. The menu as well had no English whatsoever. I don't know how tourists order food from here, and what I can see, it's a very popular place to go. My husband and I just had to pick random dishes. We used Google translate to speak to the staff and asked for their recommendations. They weren't able to explain what each dish was enough for us to understand what we were ordering or what we'd want. So we just requested their two most popular dishes. Even after ordering, I still had no idea what we ordered until I saw the receipt. Turns out we had the beef bourguignon which surprises me because so many reviews rave about this dish. I thought it was just okay though. It comes out in a really small, hot pot. Parts of the meat was soft, juicy, tender, but the top parts of it was dry and I had to redip it in the sauce from the pot to add flavor to it. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't anything that stood out. Not for what I'm seeing in reviews or for 24 euros. I also had the terrine de campagne. I had no idea what this was. But it looked like just some cold uncooked piece of meat. To be honest, I might even have enjoyed this dish more than the beef bourguignon. I learned after this meal that fine dining isn't my style. Portions were small and they served food I had never even heard of before. It was a nice experience to try food like this from a different country, but I don't think I'd be inclined to do it again. That aside, the staff was very quick and attentive. They cleaned up quickly when we were done with something and refilled our water immediately each time. The food wasn't bad. Just not my style. But I can tell this is a popular restaurant because it was constantly full while we were there.

Yelp
Found this restaurant after reading yelp reviews trying to find a place for dinner. I was looking for traditional French dishes and this was it. Made a reservation online but when we walked up it was rather empty and we sat right away! We were able to sit outside and enjoy the local scenery. I ordered the beef bourguignon which was impeccable. My brother ordered the filet and was his favorite meal of the filet. Both were served with mashed potatoes. We ordered the escargot to try, which had a slight twist of mushrooms and it was delicious!

Yelp
Best beef bourguignon in Paris!!! The manager, G, provides fantastic service. I was in Paris for a week and ate here 4 of the nights. My favorite restaurant!

Yelp
Excellent dinner near the museums! True French food - we enjoyed the beef burgeoned with some excellent wine. The bread was fantastic!

Yelp
It is a nice and cozy bistro that serves, in my opinion, the best beouf bourguignon. The owner/manager also went out of his way to call a taxi to take us back to our hotel. C'est très magnifique!s

Yelp
GLASS in the terrine!!!??? To be fair, the food was delicious. We tried multiple dishes. My favorites were the asparagus and the beef bourguignon. The meats were not medium well, but restaurants here cook meats to the term they believe to be adequate regardless of what we ask for! We got a table downstairs- decoration was terrible, we didn't get forks with the dessert! Now the bad part... there was a large piece of glass we believe, in the terrine (it could have been in the salmon salad, but the shock was so great, we forgot what the last thing we ate was). We alerted staff so they would make sure to not serve the rest of the terrine or the salmon or the source of the glass. Staff initially said it was salt! Though they quickly realized it was broken GLASS, minimized the situation, apologized blandly, and didn't charge for the salad. When asked if they had found the source of the glass they seemed to brush us off and said the problem was solved. I am not satisfied with the glass in the food or with their attitude. The food is delicious, the service is so so, but glass in the food is a deal breaker, especially if there is no accountability. Pretend concern or a heart felt apology would have given them an extra star. Shape up people!

Yelp
The beef bourguignon and sliced duck dinners were both outstanding. Lovely atmosphere; candles lit on every table. The service was wonderful. They sat us at a table for two by the window so we could watch all the passersby. Simply a wonderful dinner experience in Paris!

Yelp
Cafe des Musee is a lovely little restaurant in the Marais. We were brought to Cafe des Musee by our friend, David Downie, a Paris based writer and tour guide. David and his wife live in the Marais not far from this wonderfully quintessential Parisian cafe -- it is their "neighborhood joint" , their bonne address, where they know they will receive a nice welcome and be taken care of. For starters, the order of the day for my wife and I were mushrooms. We shared escargot stuffed champinions with snail butter and chanterelles lightly sautéed with a little oil and persiade. David had a nice salad of greens, haricot verts and a poached egg. All were fabulous. For our plat principal, my wife and I had the plat du jour of pork ribs, and David, the entrecote (rib eye steak.) Excellent. Desert -- my wife had some chocolate thing. I wish I could tell you what it was but she did not share it! I looked away to take a bite of my wonderful cheese plate of comte and chevre and it was gone -- all that remained was a small smudge of chocolate on the plate. After some espresso and wonderful conversation we headed back out on our walking tour of the Marais -- after three hours. This is the thing about eating at table in France - - you are never rushed. It is your table for as long as you want it. Settle in, order some wine, in our case two bottles, and take your time. You don't have to invest an afternoon if you don't want to ...but ... you should.

Matt K.

Yelp
We had a delightful experience. The staff was warm and welcoming and we had an exceptional meal. The beef bourguignon did not disappoint. The pea soup special was also delicious. We would definitely return.

Yelp
We had already eaten lunch and decided to walk around and look for ice cream since it was pretty warm. We wandered around and found ourselves near Rue Saint-Gilles. We stayed on this street in a great apartment, but it didn't have AC and we came during a heatwave. Okay, that aside, we never ate at any of the cafes nearby. The only thing I did was go to the bakery every morning and go to the G4 supermarket across the street. But I remembered we walked by this little spot almost everyday, and we decided to get some dessert and wine. Friendly greeting and we chose to sit outside. There are about 4-5 tables available. It was a small round table, but the owner came out with this square topper and made it bigger. We chose a great bordeux and the flourless chocolate cake and the strawberry tart. Both satisfied our sweet tooths! The staff was courteous and were polite with my high school French...LOL! I would come back for dinner as it was getting quite crowded and the food we saw through the window looked delicious!

Yelp
Filled with a truly international crowd, including Japanese, Australian, and French tourists and locals. I loved that the waiter asked if I spoke French rather than assuming that I did not; I realized when some local Japanese came in that they were used to locals who may look like tourists and tourists who may look like locals, so they never made judgments. That attitude made me smile, as much as the fact that they opened a new bottle of wine for me once I asked for a glass of red, and actually gave me a taste to approve before serving me (of the house red whch was less than 5€ or $7)!There are five locations of this Café in the area, so if you're in the 3rd or 4th arrondissement, this is a great place to come. They have set menus from just 13€ (about $18USD). They had a variety of menu items ranging from fresh fish to duck, and entrecôte de boeuf (steak), but the lamb special caught my eye and for 24€, this delicious tender roasted lamb with a side salad, roasted onion, and potatoes was presented to me by the chef himself! The meat was lightly salted, the fat was crisp, and the bone portion was so good I wanted to pick it up and chew on it (but I didn't, somehow I cut off every sliver of meat with a knife and fork). This was a very hearty portion (for Paris) and I still managed to finish every bite. Service was efficient and friendly, a rare combination in any capital city, so I would come back.

Yelp
Exactly what you would expect for an excellent French restaurant! The food was great, but the service was excellent! Loved the old school ambiance, and the understated attention by the entire staff that was never in your face.....surprising given that they were all young. Clearly they paid attention to whoever taught them how to run a restaurant. Will definitely be back.....Merci!!

Yelp
Stopped in here for a glass of wine. It was our first French experience and we quickly learned that table service only places aren't our cup of tea because the pressure to order more than drinks is too great. So we ordered mushrooms stuffed with escargot in a garlic and butter sauce. They were really tasty and I'm glad we tried them. I also learned at this place that Rose is the cheapest of the wines and champagne isn't as cheap as I had hoped it would be (don't blame me, I had a fantasy of drinking champagne the entire time in Paris). Service was a bit suffocating at first and then the server disappeared for 20 minutes and we had to flag another one down to get our bill. I understand that the French eat slower than we Americans but when there's empty glasses and empty plates, it seems like one should check in periodically.

Yelp
We went on a search for the best boeuf bourguignon, having lost our old standby, and found this on a local newspaper list of the best in the city. We loved it!! A fixed menu, including a lovely terrine, the boeuf bourguignon, and a rather amazing creme brulee, was something like 25 euros. A+. Nice little place, with big windows, that open it to the street. Cozy. Great service.
google avatar

Honey N.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place--the food was amazing and the service was what we would expect in Paris--a bit relaxed but friendly enough. Our waiter warmed to us once we were at least trying our French. I am giving this place 5 stars specifically for the stuffed mushroom caps with escargot--absolutely delicious!!. Two of us had the cassoulet which they loved and I had the steak which was done perfectly for me. Per some of the reviews, we did request to be upstairs when making our reservation and once we walked in and were being shown to our table, I asked to be upstairs. I was told "Madame, this is the upstairs." There is a lower level which we didn't see but seemingly, others would have preferred to be on the street level. Great experience in a local, neighborhood bistro.

Yelp
Went here on our first night in Paris! Really nice, basic french bistro food. They have english menus available, but the staff is very english-friendly (though I'd try out your french just to make them comfortable). I recommend getting the salad nicoise and the poulet casserole! C'est bon!
google avatar

Yelp
Had a late hangout here and Ordered the foie gras and rose. Sat outside. Did not like the busy street as the smog form the cars was strong. Yes

Shelley G.

Yelp
Amazing food and awesome service! The beef bouginion was amazing as well as the escargot and an incredible le vegetable plate.

Yelp
I can't even get the words out to describe the steak frites here. Entrecote the Dragon? I'm still tingly and to be honest, I'm not even a crazy steak lover. Rich and savory, with a perfect texture. A pointe.

Yelp
Back to Cafe des Musées a year later. Still as delicious as ever. Stopped in for a late lunch after promenade on the Champs Elysées and shopping at Galleries Lafayette. We arrived at 2:45, minutes before the kitchen would normally close. They warmly welcomed us to the restaurant and asked the Chef if they could squeeze us in before closing the kitchen, which they graciously agreed. The menu was completely refreshed from my prior visit. We started with a fabulous arugula and radicchio salad with tomatoes, cucumber and hazelnut vinaigrette. By 3:00, the Chef had prepared our seared ahi tuna on a bed of ratatouille as well as a ribeye with fries, arugula radicchio salad and béarnaise sauce. Everything was simply delicious with generous portions. The ribeye and fries were very, very good and I imagined myself in a fine (expensive) steakhouse in my native Texas instead of a Cafe in Paris. Desert was a chocolate cake with chocolate sauce and freshly made hazelnut whipped cream. Incredibly delicious! There are many fine restaurants and cafes in Paris. What sets this one apart is the consistency of the warm welcome, fine service, delicious food, quality ingredients and varied menu. Very difficult to sustain year after year. Fine food in a relaxed setting with no drama. After lunch, our energy renewed, we were able to explore many more kilometers in foot in the Marais and Bastille neighborhoods. I'll definitely be back next year!!

Yelp
We have eagerly awaited dinner reservations at Cafe des Musees - our favorite Paris eatery in our 2016 trip. It was crowded with French diners and two servers (who seemed to be man and wife proprietors) who buzzed around a full house but seemed to keep up with everyone. It was a show to watch. And the food was superb. We quickly learn that the bistro was sold and is now staffed by 3 or 4 millennials who seem challenged to keep up with a half empty restaurant. Everyone is speaking English. We find out why the Parisians have left. The menu is less ambitious. We start with a decent but ordinary tomato soup and an appetizer assortment that proves to be all meat. Mains are a very forgettable steak with Bernaise sauce and frites and cod with a not rather successful mix of salad greens, green beans and peas. Hope the couple who ran it before are enjoying retirement.

Yelp
This a review of the service not the food. I came here tonight with my family we have a baby, the maître d'hôtel took us to our table but that was all. I tried for 20-25 min to catch the attention of any waiters twice and none of them acknowledged. I'm a French national so I know when service is ignoring me purposely. I'm convinced this is due to our 14 months baby. Unless they are blatantly incompetent. The restaurant is small and they had five waiters. We decided to leave and with other customers also agreeing on the service in our regard. One of the waiters came eventually we explained the situation vocally. If they didn't want babies in the restaurant tell us first thing or find an excuse right away but don't ignore people or worst be rude. Don't recommend for families they are so many other friendly places around the area.

Yelp
Classic French executed very well! Came here for lunch and had one of the tastiest beef Bourgogne. Didn't have the roast chicken but it looked amazing. Friendly staff, a bit slow, but nice environment and great food!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Beef Bourguignon was very good. Service good. Enjoyed our time there. Prices in line with other local establishments.

Yelp
Food was very good. House smoke salmon salad and the grilled veal was spectacular. Wines by the glass was not that great and if you are not part of the first 25 patrons for the night, you will end up with your meal at 11 pm (like us) Service was near comical. Definitely local bistro atmosphere, locals are probably well taken cared of. Medium priced, but we should have not have walked out of our way to this place. Probably the one around the corner is just as good

Yelp
My husband and I came here for dinner a few weeks ago, mostly because I wanted the beef bourguignon. We made a reservation and even on a weeknight, it was busy when we walked in. We had a short wait for our table but were seated at a semi-private spot near the door overlooking the kitchen. We shared a carafe of red wine and started with the escargot-stuffed mushrooms. The escargot were flavorful, I'm not a huge mushroom person but my husband really enjoyed them. He had the steak tartare with fries and I had the beef bourguignon. The tartare was a generous portion and was tender and delicious. The fries were fresh and crispy. My beef was as good as I was hoping, it came in a pot with mashed potatoes to spoon it over. The beef was tender and flavorful and the vegetables were cooked nicely. The sauce really was spectacular and clearly a lot of time and effort goes into making it. It was almost like a glaze it was so thick and rich. This place is cute but can definitely be a little hectic. I wouldn't call it stressful but, there's a lot going on and sitting near the kitchen puts you in the middle of it. The service was good and friendly enough, but don't expect to be coddled. We did wait a bit to get someone to take our order. I'd say it's a good mix of locals and travelers, and they do offer their menu in English. If you're looking for a hearty meal while in the Marais, I'd definitely stop in.

Yelp
Ridden passed this place on my bicycle a million times and thought it was possibly just a tourist trap. After finally eating there turns out to be one of our best finds in a while. The classic country-style French cuisine was perfectly prepared and cooked (for all three of us). The pate de la volaille was particularly good as was the fois gras de canard. The Osso Bucco was equal to if not better than any I have had in Italy. The accompanying pasta was a little bland and pomme puree would have been preferable or their delicious pomme dauphinois. The casserole of cochon noir (black pig) was equally good and similar praise for the cannete (female duckling). Red wine is sometimes served way above chambre in Paris summer in some places. but not here. The house wine from Jura was very good and the perfect temperature. The service was also very professional and prices very reasonable. Great find!

Yelp
What a fabulous birthday dinner! We made reservations - super easy on the website - for a Sunday night to celebrate my birthday. We sat at a nice table near the open windows along the sidewalk and started with a pleasant aperitif. We both had the escargot in mushroom caps- a definite must - and asked our waiter to recommend a wine. He suggested three in different price ranges and the one we selected was excellent. I had the steak and béarnaise sauce - I requested it medium rare and it was closer to the rare side - and my husband had the rack of lamb which he felt was slightly over cooked - but we still enjoyed our meals. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and even brought us an after dinner drink on the house. All in all, if you are pleasant, unrushed, and open to dining in the French style, where a meal is an event, you will enjoy Cafe des Musees immensely.

Yelp
Classic, reasonably priced bistro in a nice neighbourhood. We called in for reservations on the same day and was glad to do so, as they were definitely turning people away by the time we settled in at 9 pm. Very nicely priced 3 course prix fixe menu (no choices) at 20 euros - we got a huge artichoke appetizer, interesting as I'd never eaten it this way - au naturel, just plucking out the leaves one by one and drizzling it with a bit of hollondaise sauce. They ran out of the offered main course, which was a very delicious looking ox tail - enviable, as the duck course substituted was fine, but very simply grilled and a bit tough. For dessert, I had the chantilly vanilla cream with strawberries - so nice on a hot Paris night. Would be back if I"m in the neighbourhood, but wouldn't make a special trip for it.

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal at Cafe des Musees. It was lunchtime and we were meeting friends at this popular cafe so I had made reservations a few days ahead so we made sure to have a table. Service was exceptional for our lunch. The waiter was engaging (and spoke English) and was prompt with our requests. My lunch started with a very ample serving of the house made terrine of duck liver which was served with a toasted slice of bread, an onion jam and a slaw of what I think included Jerusalem artichoke. It also had a bit of a side salad with it so it really could have been considered a light lunch. I then had the cassoulet which was very good! Wonderful flavor with sausage and duck sunk into tender white beans. It was so filling that I didn't have anything to eat for the rest of the day. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meals as well. The Boys enjoyed their Entrecote and fries and The Friend his Loin of Black Pork. The Wife ordered the Sea Bream which had some great looking vegetables topped with two filet of fish. All in all, a great meal and highly recommended, especially considering the value for the money.

Jon W.

Yelp
Our friend recommended this place and swore up and down that this was what it meant to eat at a French bistro. For the most part, she was right. The wife and I came for lunch and had the steak tartare and the chicken casserole. Not bad for both- the steak tartare was clearly the local favorite. I thought it was a bit bland, although the beef did look really fresh. The chicken was okay- nothing that we couldn't put together at home if we had a Staub casserole pan. We also had the escargot-stuffed mushrooms, which were good. But then again, you can't mess up anything doused in butter, garlic, and parsley. Service was competent, but not special. All in all, a good place. I would pick Chez Janou any day of the week, though!

Yelp
One of my favourite places in Paris. Wow, a truly unique and Parisian experience. This restaurant it what you expect Paris is all about. Honest cooking and fantastic flavours. It really is an amazing experience to visit this restaurant. The steak frites is unbelievable good and the staff friendly. What more can you ask for?
google avatar

Ray M.

Yelp
Great food and a friendly staff, most of which speak English and are quite welcoming. However, what I really want to call out are the (French) fries. I don't know that I've had better fries anywhere, and certainly not in Europe. Crispy and flavorful. My wife also loved the beef bourguignon, which is a speciality.

Yelp
Wow, so delicious. I highly recommend the mushrooms with escargot appetizers. The Duck confit...the fish of day...and loved our waiter....Dorian...I believe he is new there..but truly loved his sense of humor and style.

Yelp
Best fries ever. Bien-cuit-just how we like'em and somehow they stayed crispy all the way to the bottom of the heaping plate. Meats were great and don't miss the fried mushroom salad.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for our first meal in Paris on a recommendation from a family member who had been here before. Sorry to say, the food was sub-par and service was far too slow. Though we were seated quickly and given menus and wine, we spent nearly 30 minutes between the end of our main course and dessert. Though we were seated at 7pm, we did not leave until after 9pm. To their credit, however, there was one gentleman in particular who greeted us exceptionally both in and out of the establishment.

Yelp
Popular with the locals, this place serves up great comfort food . Had the pheasant shepherd's pie which tasted delicious.

Yelp
Very disappointed! The food was horrible and the service wasn't much better. We started with the mushroom soup which was excellent, but quickly went down hill. The steak was tough and fatty....the monk fish and vegetables were very bland. The vegetarian meal consisted of a small bucket of vegetables (not sure how they were prepared) without seasoning that were also very bland. All of our meals were over priced. Skip this restaurant if you're in Paris and it's on your list. Robert

Yelp
We heard favorable reports on this restaurant, so we thought we might try it since we were staying nearby. The menu was a fixed price Xmas dinner, but they accommodated to our requests serving one of the offered entrees. We chose the chicken. It was bland, flavorless with accompanying mashed potatoes, equally boring. I chose a glass of Bordeaux which had a bite and was more akin to a mediocre California wine than the smooth, delicious French wines we had been drinking for the past two weeks. Some of the lettuce in our salad did not seem fresh. Since the limited Xmas menu omitted the usual fare it's probably inappropriate to judge it by our Xmas dinner. Just don't eat here on Xmas.

Yelp
This place is a real find. Though it is close to the Picasso Musée and most of its patrons are tourists, they really care. The food was excellent, we had both daily specials and regular menu. My fois grass with beets was fantastic and so was the terrine that my boyfriend ordered. The entrecôte was prepared perfectly and the desert - a specialty of the house - Mille crepes with matcha was terrific. The service was fantastic, friendly and attentive. A very nice local bistro with great food!

Yelp
Staff was rude, charged us for a cider that we returned because it tasted like marinated olives, did not have to-go containers and food was good, but the service and haughtiness soured the whole dinner much like the spoiled-tasting cider. Additionally, the bathroom was filthy.
