We had a great lunch experience at Le Café du Commerce in Biarritz. The place was very busy when we arrived — we had to wait around 30 minutes for a table, but we didn’t mind at all since we really wanted to try it. The food was tasty and well-prepared, and the overall atmosphere was lively and authentic. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a very good experience and we’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in Biarritz!

We ordered Tuna steak and cod fish for dinner and gateau basque with ice cream for dessert. All were very good. Service was quite fast.

Great meal by the window overlooking the crowds watching the rugby opposite. Waiter was Alexanda. I had the devlied eggs, mango tuna tartar, croquette assortment and burrata with artisan tomatoes. Half a bottle of Sancerre from the Loire valley to wash it all down. Excellent service, perfect location. And the menus reads very well. A 10 from me.

Good cafe in main cafe strip area over from the markets. Service quick and friendly. Quick to resolve a small problem which was appreciated. Lovely staff

One of the worst dining experiences in France. We had entrecôte and confit maigre, the entrecôte was chewy and fat, tasted like a dead animal (like spoilt meat), canard was dry and tasteless , came with a strong peppercorn sauce which we mostly used to mask the lack of flavour. Quick service and nice atmosphere otherwise but the food was of poor quality.

I was hesitant about their rating but this place was beyond our expectations. We went there twice in 2 days we stayed in Biarritz, simply because of friendly staff, lively vibe and phenomenal cheesecake & cheese plate. Would recommend!

This was the least friendly out of all our lunches and dinners in Biarritz. Nice stater to be fair, beef bourgonne was tough, friends fish was very good, as was wine, good value ✨️

We had a really excellent meal here during our family holiday. Very friendly staff and excellent and reasonably priced food. Owner was a rugby fan and we had some good fun discussing old world cups. Really nice experience and we would highly recommend for good food and excellent hosting.

Yelp
I got salmonella from eating here. When I called to let them know they vehemently denied it. It was really good going down, though!

Yelp
We ate here in October, when our son was in school for the 1st term. We have the cote de beef for three frites salads vert and Fois Gras to start. The meal was delicious and the service was very good. We are in Biarritz agin now and I am looking forward to my dinner tonight.

Yelp
Excellent food, fabulous service, very accommodating. Arrived without a reservation and they offered a table near the window with a great view for people watching and to enjoy the atmosphere. Food was fresh & delicious. Visa/MasterCard or cash.

Yelp
I love this place. We came here twice, both times without a reservation. The tables book up in advance, but they made room for us at the bar. The staff is more than kind and the food is incredible, all reasonably priced for the high quality -- the special of the day combination with dessert of the day is a steal and was always especially delicious. Only a few blocks from the beach, you have to go if you're in the area!

Yelp
We had a plate with snails to share and for main course the entrecôte accompanied as per usual with béarnaise and fries and a jug of green salad. The snails were perfect cooked in rich quantities of butter and green herbes, parsley and basil. Esp. the latter truly lifted the taste and this small dish is by far the best we've had in Biarritz. Now for the main course I cannot say the same. The meat consisted of a large slice rather thinly cut which makes it difficult to cook right if you want it medium rare. It became rather laborius to chew, dry and actually pretty dull. A bit undersalted too. The béa was much too thick and lacked acidity to counter the sweetness of the butter. The fries were to my taste a bit thin, nice color, but because of the shape they also turned dry very quickly. The meal became more or less a feeling of chewing paper. The salad was ok, only baby green salad leaves in a thin mayo so nothing extra. The whine, a bordeaux half a litre for 17 euro, meh... This is not something to go the extra mile for... The extra plus for finally having the french national dish - snails! - as they should be served and taste!

Yelp
I have never had such a bad experience in my life. Went here mid day on vacation hoping to get breakfast. We ordered coffee and asked for the menu. The waiter brought our coffees and the menu and said that the kitchen was closed for breakfast but that they'd be serving lunch in half and hour and that we were welcome to look at the menu. We took a look and decided we weren't in the mood for lunch food yet. Upon telling the waiter we were not eating breakfast he became extremely rude and said that we weren't allowed to be there if we weren't eating. We asked if they still had an croissants or pastries left as an alternative and he said no. We were sitting in a table outside with at least three other tables in sight that were all just drinking and smoking. And there were countless of open tables so it's not like we were taking up room for someone who wanted to eat? Also what French restaurant doesn't let people just sit and drink a coffee outside mid day? Then after he threw his fit about us not eating he came back to our table and without saying a word took the napkins right off our laps. If this had happened in the U.S. We would have just gotten up and left. And to put the cherry on top of this experience, a moment after we paid and were about to leave the couple sitting next to us (who had sat down about 20 min after us) was served croissants and breakfast food. Unacceptable treatment to say the least.
