Le café Français

If you happen to visit Moalboal, don’t miss dining at Le Café Français! They serve the best tenderloin—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. And their chocolate pistachio cake is an absolute must-try! The owners, a wonderful couple, are so warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The relaxing ambiance makes it a great spot to unwind, and their menu offers a fantastic selection of dishes. Highly recommended for a great dining experience in Moalboal!

We visited this restaurant multiple times and enjoyed the great atmosphere and excellent service. However, the food quality can vary depending on your order. In several dishes, we noticed the use of artificial substitutes or dried herbs and spices. At this price point, we expected a greater emphasis on fresh ingredients. Additionally, a significant number of menu items were unavailable, which was disappointing. Later in the evening (8-9pm) it was completely full. At 7 PM only few tables occupied.

This place is adorable. If you’re craving some veggies I recommend the bruschetta and the seafood salad! The iced caramel coffee was so goood too! I liked that they make the iced cubes with coffee so your drink doesn’t get watered down in the sun either. Very cute aesthetic here as well! My little one had a banana split and was extremely happy with it too!

We ordered 1 bruschetta but the bread was wet and the tomatoes were good, 1 tartare salmon which was good, 1 kinilaw Mahi Mahi which was also good but if you like medium spicy order directly the spicy. For main plates we ordered 1 mahi mahi filet, sauce butter and lemon, it was very good. And 2 tenderloin pork with mushrooms it was good but the meat was a bit to dried but it was still good. For the dessert we took the tort with mandarin chocolat, the biscuit was good but the cream was not so good. In general we had a good time and good meal. Salamat.

Best fish I had in Moalboal. Very tasty! The Mahi Mahi a la basque (with tomato sauce) was super tasty. After some days in Moalboal I loved that you can order potato instead of rice. The service was excellent.

This is by far the best restaurant I’ve visited in Moalboal, and I’ve been coming here for over 2 decades. Salmon carpaccio is a wonderful French-Visayan intersection of flavors and served with artisanal sour dough bread. Gone so fast! I had apprehensions of ordering tenderloin beef in any restaurant if it isn’t Angus, and this is by far, again, the best one I’ve had. It’s simply perfectly cooked and served with an also-perfectly cooked potatoes on the side. Their house wine is in the same tier to pair. Mango Chantilly, crepe with mangoes and whipped cream, is a delight of simplicity, with an outstanding star of the dish(m, the crepe itself, that could stand on its own. Wonderful experience. This restaurant made us decide to stay an extra night to sample their new dishes, such as ox tongue with white wine sauce. We will be back tomorrow!!

Very good food (Garlic Butter Pasta with shrimps and Tenderloin steak with potato) and very attentive staff. Would recommend everyone to come here and enjoy dinner

Appetizer tomato bruschetta is delicious Seafood pork pasta is delicious Tenderloin truffle cream sauce steak 🥩 It was a different taste, but it was so delicious. The white wine recommended by the staff also went very well with the food.
