Please come and eat here! You won't regret it. We had the most divine seafood and it was so fresh it was practically swimming. Initially I thought maybe we would have chappy service because it didnt look like there were enough servers. Well, our waiter was Kumar and he was just unexpectedly amazing. Our food came quickly and he seems to have everything totally under control. Everything was impeccable. I loved the ambiance in the evening and it was so cool and breezy. The view must be incredible in the day, but the heat must be quite fierce. I loved the coolness of the evening. I will definitely come back here again next time I visit 😀

My husband and I had dinner last night at Le Capitaine and had a wonderful experience! We went for an early dinner at 6:30 pm and were seated at a table overlooking the bay. The sun was near setting time so the views were beautiful. There was also a nice breeze blowing through so the temperature was just right. We tried the home made lychee rum and it was delicious! And you cannot go wrong with the menu choices as the seafood is all fresh and flavorful. I had the lobster and my husband had the catch of the day and we were both very happy with our meals. The preparation of our entrees was superb! Our server was also wonderful; knowledgeable about the preparation of dishes and able to make good recommendations. He was hospitable and friendly! The only challenge as is the case in most places in Grand Baie, is parking. But don't let that deter you from trying this restaurant! Well worth it!

One of the best seafood restaurants in Mauritius! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh flavors and beautifully prepared dishes. Having lunch right by the ocean was an amazing experience, the view of the lagoon in Grand Baie is simply stunning. There’s a great selection of drinks and cocktails, excellent customer service, and consistently great food. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. We will definitely come back when we visit Mauritius again 🦤

We had a wonderful time. The service was friendly and great overall. We ordered a lasagna and tagliatelle. The lasagna was amazing but the pasta was very bland. As if there was no flavor except for the shrimp themselves. If not for the pasta this would be a 10/10. I definitely recommend.

Lunch - Fresh catch of Capitaine fish , grilled to perfect with lime dressing , served with rice and veg . The rice was simply delicious with nuts, raisins spice and fried onions .the veg was crisp and delicious . Of course I had a chillie paste just raised the whole fish . Delicious hi. The setting was just paradise on the edge of the water , on a beautiful sunny day , service was excellent . High recommend when in Grand Bay - Mauritius.

Booked for a Christmas set dinner and the whole experience was fantastic from the venue, scenery and great food.

The restaurant is impeccably poetic, the mood lighting that complements the setting sun in the distance as the cool salty sea breeze hugs you. The restaurant has perhaps the best menu, the freshest food and great sundowners of all the other restaurants we got to try in our week long trip. Especially drove to the restaurant all the way from Moka just to try them out and I was not disappointed.
