Le Case Di San Vitale

Small, charming, delightful hotel located very close to the UNESCO world sites……in fact, the Basilica di San Vitale was located directly across the street from our hotel room. Breakfast was an additional fee but served in a quiet private garden and great way to start our visit of historic Ravenna (small, walkable small town not overly full of souvenir shops and tour groups). The hotel is located in a beautifully refurbished mansion (I believe) with several large rooms open to guests to read, recap the adventures of the day, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Our particular room was small, but clean and comfortable. Our entire experiences at Le Case di San Vitale and Ravenna was reminiscent of the series of movies from the 1980’s showing life in southern France and northern Italy …… slow, gentle, delicious meals and a memorable glow

What a beautiful hotel! We loved everything about it. Located on a quiet street, but walkable to everything, even the train station. Our room was large, bright, clean, and just beautiful. Nice touch that bathrooms feature modern glass mosaic tile, echoing the ancient mosaics that drew us to Ravenna.

We stayed in le Case Di San Vitale Easy in the downstairs room and can highly recommend it. The B and B is just a 15 minute walk from the station and directly opposite the Basilica, so ideally situated. Our room was well appointed with tea, coffee and fridge; good air conditioning. There is a quiet courtyard to sit out in . Staff all very pleasant .

A very special residents if you are lucky to reserve. Fantastic location, stable internet, great airconditioning. Amazing bathroom. Housekeeping is spectacular.

We stayed in Le Case di San Vitale Easy section of this marvelous place and the artful aesthetic is far more attractive than the pictures shown here. |A balance of minimalist taste and old-world quality were invested in the remodel of this lovely property that includes an outdoor courtyard. Our room was a thoughtfully designed space with a spacious modern bath, comfortable bed, and access to a well appointed coffee station downstairs. |We walked to this ideal location from the train station and were greeted by a warm and helpful staff who provided several excellent caffe and restaurant recommendations. We also found a brochure in the foyer for an excellent mosaic tour. |We hope to return to Ravenna and Le Case di San Vitale someday and we highly recommend.

Awesome hotel right in the heart of Ravenna. Make sure you understand how to work the air conditioner because at night the rooms are above restaurants and you will want to shut the windows due to noise, but with the windows shut the noise is minimal.

The place is beautiful and the customer service outstanding. The owner is a wonderful lady and Alessandra her assistant helps you with the best recommendations in town. Everything is exquisite and extremely clean. Highly recommend!

Located directly across the exit to the Basilica di San Vitale, you can access both the Basilica and the Mausoleum di Galla Placidia from the entrance around the corner about a block away. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with a view of the courtyard. Small blue, mosaic-sized tiles brightened the large bathroom to resemble a starlit evening sky. The spa-like shower with a rain showerhead could fit 2 people at the same time. The air conditioning kept the room very comfortable, and unlike some hotels in Emilia-Romagna, was turned on in May. On the top floor there is an enormous library/living area where you can sample digestifs provided for all the guests. Coffee and tea are available all day in the foyer. Since we did not purchase the daily breakfast, the hotel recommended a pasticceria a few blocks away that had the best coffee and cornetti. In fact other cultural sites of Ravenna are within walking distance including Dante’s tomb, and Basilica di Sant' Apollinare Nuovo. We only stayed here 2 days, but wish we had stayed longer. Ravenna has much to offer, and this hotel is wonderful.
