A collection of houses, some accommodation, some for eating. There’s a nice indoor pool in the main house, and a small gym and wellness centre. The style is old world, with heavy dark furniture. However, everything works: our room had a decent walk-in shower, heated towel rail, and nice robes. Breakfast was OK, with good spremute d’arancia, but nothing cooked, apart from a frittata. Going in late November doesn’t see it at its best. The highly-rated Enoteca was closed, as were other facilities. The restaurant was good but not exceptional, with a nice lamb, leek and chestnut stew. Big wine list from Sassicaia to local: should be able to find something you like. We chose a decent sangiovese/merlot blend from nearby Matelica.
