Yelp
"Le Caveau des Oubliettes" translate to English as "The Dungeon Vault".
In America, this place is a fire hazard.
In France, the locals converted this underground cellar into a small music venue. You can feel the A/C running, but it still gets warm and muggy when it gets crowded, and it will get crowded on a Friday or Saturday. We were looking for Jazz, but instead we got a Led Zeppelin cover band, which was really really really loud in this dungeon vault. After sweating and feeling claustrophobic in this semi-sauna after 3 songs, my friends and I left. We might have stayed longer if it was a jazz night. The ground floor is just a bar and a couple tables with no view of the band, but at least you don't claustrophobic.
NO COVER CHARGE! But "The Most Expensive Beer of Yelp Elite Chun P's life was purchased here"...€11 Beer pint...not sure what it was, it good, but the most expensive beer of my life! $14.30...never paid that much for a beer back in America.
€7 glasses of red wine for the wife and friends...but I think my beer was 3 times larger in volume than these wine glasses.
