I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The quality of the food was absolutely outstanding—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the dessert, each dish exceeded my expectations. What made the evening even more enjoyable was the service. Our waitress, Sofia, was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. She made us feel welcome and took great care of our table. Her warm personality truly added to the overall experience. Highly recommend this place—I’ll definitely be coming back!

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and it never disappoints. In a beautiful setting on Place Dauphine this brasserie offers delicious classic French dishes. The confit duck is always absolutely delicious… we have tried so many different meals here and they are all fabulous. The fish is cooked to perfection and the bread is perfect. Many desserts to choose from. We just had lunch on a busy Saturday service and the staff running the restaurant were so professional and warm and welcoming. We walked away so happy! Merci beaucoup !! 😊

I want to preface this review with the fact that I didn't have any food. Instead I had champagne and a cappuccino. In fact I had the following items: 1) Champagne brut reserve 2) Cappuccino a la creme This place though is in a wonderful location overlooking a park. It has two floors with an abundance of seating. The second floor is very quaint and has windows overlooking the park. The champagne was delicious and made for a great summer drink as I relaxed by the park. The cappuccino was as nice as any decent coffee shop. It was well prepared with decent coffee that kept its flavor while nicely combined with a good milk froth. Overall this is a nice place and worth a stop if only for a glass of wine.

We sat down with kids at a time that was not busy at all. After we ordered, it got a little windy and chilly so we asked if we could sit inside instead. We were told no, because they had reservations for inside. There were several tables that had no “reservation” sign on them and during our time there, literally no one went into the restaurant and the waiters spent the whole time talking to each other and just hanging about. The food was good but the service not so much..

We discovered this hidden treasure a few years ago and come back each time we are in Paris. The food is so good and prices reasonable co.pared to elsewhere since it is mostly frequented by people in the neighborhood.

Entrecote was not good and ok at it’s best. Ordered the steak medium and got it totally well done. Taste wasn’t very good otherwise and very chewy and difficult to cut. The seperate mayonmaise or sauce that came with the entrecote was very strange and didn’t have a good balance. We had lot’s of mix-ups with the orders and bill. The restaurant tried to bill several dishes that our table (of eleven) hadn’t ordered. At the end we just got fed up with sorting the bill for about an hour and payed many of the extra foods. We even got accused first for lying and not paying the whole bill and not telling the waiter about the burgers. We didn’t even order any burgers! After the restaurant realized this, they appologized. Still no compensation or anything for the chaos, quite the contrary. We still ended up paying more than we ordered. Not a good experience. Food wasn’t good and service neither. I guess the service wasn’t straightforward rude, but just a mess and very unprofessional. Made the whole of our table pretty frustrated and mad in the end.

Popped into Le Caveau du Palais for lunch on a rainy day. Fantastic service and food. Everything was beautifully plated and you could tell that the menu was well thought-out. Wonderful, peaceful atmosphere! Thank you :)

Yelp
I have been coming to this restaurant every time I visit Paris (starting in 2000). it has changed management at least once, but remains a wonderful dining experience. Very good French fare. I was there on Thanksgiving day 2024, and had the best chicken I have ever had. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing, and the service was congenial and accommodating. Love this place.

Yelp
We had a great dinner at Le Caveau. Our group each ordered a starter, main course and dessert. We had the Brie with truffles, escargot, and egg with mushrooms for starters. All were excellent! For main course I had the sea bass with squid ink risotto which was great. The other members had steak and cod which both enjoyed. I really liked my dessert which was a sampling of a creme brulee and 3 other small dessert bites with an espresso. The waitstaff was really kind and fast and the ambiance was nice since it was tucked away from the main tourist area. This would be a fantastic spot for a romantic dinner for 2.

Yelp
Ate here twice while staying on the Ile de la Cite. Food was outstanding, as was the atmosphere. But what made the place special beyond all the nearby places with great food was the bartemptress/server Clara. A beautiful woman and person who befriended this solo American and then also my son, a Paris resident, who uses a wheelchair. Clara, if you remember me, please say hello! Vodka tonic, glass of red wine? Jbsr@comcast.net

Yelp
Great service, great food, clean and elegant. Not flocked by tourist. Excellent location - right behind Sainte Chapelle and Notre Dame.

Yelp
Atmosphere is great, if you don't mind smoking people food is not good lacks salt and not taste . I had shrimp with pasta and angus steak, it was not tasty only the fries were great.-

Yelp
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting, the serene Place Dauphine on Ile de la Cite. Outdoor dining next to a small park rather than a busy sidewalk and traffic. Pleasant service, good food and a respite from the buzz of the city. Don't tell anyone else!

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant in an out-of-the way, beautiful setting within the Place Dauphine (Ile De La Cite). There is excellent seating both inside and out. We're usually not fans of outdoor dining since it usually means traffic (people and cars). Here, though, thanks to the park setting, the outdoor seating was lovely and quiet. The menu has several nice choices and ours (escargot, lamb) were excellent. Service was attentive and gracious, and wine by the glass or bottle were reasonably priced and very good.

Yelp
Our tour guide suggested lunch in this plaza after our tour of the Louvre. There are several cafés surrounding a small park. It was a welcome change of scene. We picked this café because they were the most inviting (the one next door was less so). I ordered the sea bass and my son ordered the steak and both were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every holiday has that one dining experience that is the highlight, the gem, the local find that most tourists may not know about. This was ours. I highly recommend making the 5 min walk from the Louvre. You won't regret it! Cheers and Bon Appétit!

Yelp
A very pretty, very good restaurant in a very pretty courtyard steps from Notre Dame, St. Chappelle and the tour boats? Try the fish!

Yelp
Highly recommended by a girlfriend who travels often to Paris, we had high expectations and left fairly let down. Everything fell flat for us this meal. We were one of two tables with customers for dinner; our server was basically absent the entire evening. Dinner came out ... except for mine. I had the risotto; I think they realized they had forgotten it and put it together quickly. Sadly, risotto is not a dish that can be put together quickly and the bite was not the right kind of bite .. if you get my drift. The rice was extremely undercooked, which is a shame because it was a lovely dish otherwise. To his credit, the manager comped that dish. Dessert was excellent; the sancerre rouge we enjoyed equally as excellent.

Yelp
We enjoyed our dinner here last night. It's a small bistro with outside seating looking onto the square where they were Playing jeux de boules. We tried the filet americain, the escargots and the creme brûlée. All were excellent. My tuna appetizer was on the small side and the house salad was nothing but romaine spears with dressing. My daughter had the chicken Caesar which was good with a Parmesan crust "cookie". The cheese and jam appetizer was very good. Service was excellent and prices reasonable for Paris.

Yelp
On our first day in Paris we walked from St Germain across the Pont Neuf and onto the isle de cite to walk it from that end back toward Notre Dame and we came onto this beautiful triangular park where we found Caveau du Palais. We stopped for lunch and we greeted so warmly by the staff we immediately felt comfortable. The food was very good, the wine was reasonable and it didn't seem like the tourist trap you may expect on the isle. If you are checking out the whole island stop in for a break and a great lunch at Caveau du Palais.

Yelp
Excellent little restaurant on Pont Neuf, right on the Seine. Charming white brick on the inside with ~10 tables inside. Service was fabulous! They were very attentive and accommodating to the 'American' hustle that is dinner (comparatively). Order the Chicken leg, Risotto, and Seabass. Don't skip dessert either!

Yelp
Service was okay - just came here for drinks and a dessert. I recommend the creme brûlée. Food looked good tho.

Yelp
My wife and I are here during our time in Paris. I had the duck confit which was divine. Served over bacon and I beans which I didn't eat much of. If you are craving a hearty, high protein meal look no further. My wife had a lobster risotto which was out of this world. Be warned it is served with caviar if you don't like that kind of thing. The staff was great and welcoming but did not speak a ton of English to me once i tried speaking French. They encouraged me to do so and treated us well because of the effort. A decent wine selection this was a great night out for us.

Yelp
Nice and quaint restaurant on a quiet part of Place Dauphine overlooking a park. The food was amazing...the Chef has put a lot of thought in its ingredients and preparation. The servers are very friendly. I had a Champagne Cocktail which was out of this world!! Nice wine selections, amazing food and well priced. I had Monkfish with Squid ink risotto and my husband had chef special grilled lamb with spinach mash. The lamb was so fresh! For starters we had escargots and crab ravioli but it was not like your usual ravioli! The broth was so yummy. The desserts were nice too!We had a good time at this restaurant. Thanks!

Yelp
Staff was actually quite nice to us, but that may or may not be because we had a French-speaking relative with us. Best gratin I've ever had in my life (hands down). And this is coming from someone who generally does not enjoy potatoes. I find potatoes bland, starchy, and a general waste of stomach space. BUT THEN I had the gratin here and I totally changed my mind. It was cooked encased in bacon, and the gratin slid out in some juicy, buttery, creamy sauce when i opened my bacon. it was like unwrapping a delicious heart attack present that DID NOT taste like a heart attack. WHAT?! Amazing. Lamb was also super delicious too but it was really the gratin that blew me away. My husband said the duck confit was the best he had had in his life. I think that's the general theme in Paris now that I look back at my Yelp Reviews --"BEST _____ I've had in my LIFE!" Hey, they don't get their reputation for having some of the best food in the world for nothing.

Yelp
My wife and I ate here on 06/04/18. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. My only complaint was that when we presented our Visa card for payment suddenly their credit card terminal was not working. Upon arriving we did see other transactions being completed with credit cards. We paid cash but the whole problem with our credit card seemed suspicious. So, if you're paying with a credit card verify acceptance first or carry cash as a backup. BTW: Our card worked before and after this one incident. DW

Yelp
One evening this week we found a quiet, outside table at Le Caveau Du Palais in beautiful weather that has enveloped Paris our entire vacation. The restaurant is located near a small park on the tip of the L'île de la Cité. The vodka martini started the evening and was pleasant but with less vodka content than an American one. Dinner is not complete in Paris of course without a glass of wine, and tonight a Gewurztraminer for him and a Bordeaux for me were perfect and very reasonably priced. The lamb dish, Epaule D'Agneau Braisee 7 Heures, was served and surpassed every other lamb dish we have previously experienced. Delicieux! The wait staff were attentive and although we were full and could not order the desserts, there will be a next time!!

Yelp
Went back again this year and it was just as amazing as it was last year. Not sure the comments about the rude service. While the owner is French she is actually very charming. Perhaps the Americans from Arizona didn't have patience as the French do not rush the dining experience. I have been to this restaurant at least six times and I have to say it is really one of best in Paris for the price. The wine list is robust, the menu is quite varied and all of the food, particularly the Cofe de Boeuf is over the top. A quaint romantic place and a must on your list to try. Louis -New York

Yelp
Fabulous service-excellent wines at even better prices, and a chef whose skills are unsurpassed-centrally located in a beautiful and not widely know enclave on the Isle de la cite`, the interior is immaculate, yet exposing the Hausmannesque beams and stones. A total win.

Alex M.

Yelp
The best duck confit I have had in my life. Very cute little restaurant with a bit grumpy wait staff but I will let it fly as my French is offensively bad. So, 5* for their duck.
