On the Grid : Le Cedre

"Best Libanese in town. Authentic food and friendly servants. If you're lucky you get a belly dance show in front of your table!" - Y7K

We've taken mezza for two persons, that is 7 dishes. They were tasty. Then we got the mixed grill. Note that beef is not halal. Chicken and lamb are halal. Thank you,

La Cèdre combines delicious Lebanese food with fair prices — at least by Zurich standards. It’s a cosy spot with a lively, mixed crowd that gives the place a welcoming vibe. The menu offers authentic flavours and generous portions, making it one of the better Lebanese options in town. It’s a small restaurant, though, so booking ahead is definitely a good idea.

Live this place and it is VERY popular! You must book a table otherwise you will be disappointed. Three of us went there during lunch hour and we were all very happy with our selection from the lunch menu! Warning, they gave you PROPER portion! We couldn’t finish our food! And we only ordered one main each. Delicious! Combination is perfect! Atmosphere is great! It’s of course busy as it’s full. Lots of people from surrounding banks and company come here for their lunch! ( if only my company is around here, I would have made it my canteen!) highly recommended for some good quality Lebanese food. ( I can’t tell if it’s authentic as I have never been to the country to try their food) but I can say it’s delicious!

Le Cèdre in Zürich is a true gem for lovers of authentic Lebanese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm, rustic décor, exposed brick walls, soft lantern lighting, and colorful cushions that instantly transport you to the Levant The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy intimacy and lively conviviality, making it an ideal spot for date nights, family dinners, or gatherings with friends. Service at Le Cèdre is consistently outstanding. The staff are knowledgeable about every dish, attentive without being overbearing, and happy to make personalized recommendations. They’ll gladly guide you through the menu’s highlights or help you pair your meal with one of their carefully selected Lebanese wines or refreshing mint-infused drinks. Start your meal with the mezze sampler: velvety hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, zesty tabbouleh, and crisp falafel, all expertly seasoned and beautifully presented. The sharable platters are equally impressive; we especially loved the mixed grill featuring tender lamb kafta, marinated chicken tawook, and perfectly spiced beef skewers. Don’t miss the freshly baked pita bread, served warm at your table, or the signature rice pilaf enriched with nuts and aromatic spices. Desserts are a delight, too rosewater baklava offers the perfect balance of flaky pastry and sweet syrup, and a pot of mint tea brings the meal to a light, fragrant close. With its authentic flavors, impeccable service, and charming ambiance, Le Cèdre is a standout dining destination in Zürich. Whether you’re a Middle Eastern food aficionado or simply seeking a memorable dinner experience, this restaurant will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!

Yummy place with very nice decorations added very tasty food .. we arrived little early and waited for it to be opened but it was worthy of wait … we took the meet shawarma and the tikka plate and i advise it .. my only note is that fries and rice should be coming with the meal not to be ordered as side dishes as it making it extra expensive
