Small place obviously, but just right with the atmosphere and vibe is very upscale without the ticket! Our second time before leaving town, definitely recommend!!!

My first time eating rabbit and I really liked it a lot, the texture, the flavour, the plums and accompanied with fries, uff simply delicious. The attention was very good, they were very kind and fast. I recommend them if they go to Brussels 🇩🇪❤️👌

I am usually not one to complain and definetely not a fussy eater, but my experience at this place was nothing short of catastrophic. The cocktails were watered down, the mussels dry and either too salty or not salted at all, and the Caesar salad was quite simply inedible. To top it all, everyone in my party got ill the following days...coincidence? Avoid at all costs.

The infrastructure is really nice and well designed. The service was good too. The food was well made. The carpaccio was with a special spicy taste. The beef was overcooked in some parts, but still good. The salmon was perfect! They have a very good Thai tea! The ice cream is was pure and sugar and they need to improve the gluten free options. But the restaurant is super nice! Congratulations.

Google
A nice hidden gem, away from the crowds. I had ‘Mussels in Brussels’, very tasty and very traditional dish. A decent menu with tasty food and good wine. A nice athmosphere, with a lovely interior decoration, i felt transported into a scene from ‘gone with the wind’

Me and my friends go here as a last minute change-of-plan, but the reception we got here is beyond expectation. Its possible to come without reservation and the workers will gladly help you found a table. The foods are not the cheapest, but I assure you the food excels the price. For 20 euro you'll get a heaping amount of food (1.5-2 times more than typical serving), plus fresh baguette and fries. The food are fresh and delicious, and there are seasonal items to try. They also offers various alcohols, and you can find local brands here. The workers are extremely kind and helpful, they won't let you lift a single plate. The restaurant may be small but the vibe is very beautiful. Every aspect of our visit is wonderful, I honestly don't know what to comment. Very recommended for family and friend gatherings.

Google
Excellent atmosphere, excellent food and drink, excellent value. We hadn't booked and staff were absolutely fantastic...everything was so good we went back the next night.

The service wasn't bad, we were seated and had our orders taken quickly, and the staff was amicable too. The problems started when the food came. I ordered the Ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach, which was 21 euro. I could've excused the price, if it weren't for the fact that the plate had only 4 pieces of ravioli (albeit bigger than normal, but not enough to feed one person; i was still hungry when i left) and it came with a sauce that wasn't even mentioned in the menu.

Yelp
Definitely a cute spot with great decor and a good vibe. However, the food was lacking. They had a few options for vegetarians, so I was pretty excited. However, most of them were sold out... in fact, only one entree option was available. Naturally, I ordered that - the risotto. It was a perfect quantity, but was bland and not really worth the price. From a food standpoint, I give it two stars. The extra star is for the ambiance. I would return to this spot solely for drinks - as it has a cool vibe.

Yelp
Had a few drinks and an appetizer here after arriving in Brussels from a long train ride. We wanted to order more but the service was just not good and it took forever to get our drinks. I realize the service is not always good in Europe but it was tough to get anything here. And our appetizer took 40 minutes probably. Cool place with a nice patio (you can only get drinks outside) and a walk full of suitcases but I would only come here for drinks. Although, the food I saw looked pretty decent.

Yelp
Ambiance is nice and cool with jazz music and a very special and nice decoration. I would certainly recommend to come and spend some time having a drink with friends or colleagues. But forget the food. On the other hand if you stiff want to eat at this place choose for a steak or a burger.

Yelp
I can not recommend this place enough. me and my friend had the most wonderful meal here. The good was served quickly and tasted divine. Good selection of drinks and perfect location beside famous landmarks. The staff were all attentive and helped ensure we had the best dining experience. Special thanks to Sam who truly provided exceptional service, making our time in the restaurant memorable. Will definitely be back. Merci 10/10

Yelp
Don't go here for the food. Go here for the atmosphere, wine and live jazz. The food you can get anywhere else better and cheaper.

Yelp
After reading all these reviews with 1 and 2 stars I totally agree with them. I came here during the Christmas holiday and I was so disappointed in this restaurant. Our intentions were to have lunch here, but after the bad drinks and service we said forget it. Also, I had a strong feeling it was a tourist trap. There are seriously better other restaurants to eat at in this area.

Yelp
we stopped for drinks. really cool place, nice ambience. bloody mary was alright.

Yelp
I had the salmon with lots of incredible and interesting vegetables. I have to say it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The service is fantastic. It happened to by Birthday and they gave use a free dessert and the entire restaurant wished me happy birthday. Nice touch. If you're in the area this place is a must

Yelp
After trying some of their food during EAT! Brussels, I was pretty impressed at what they had to offer, so decided to give the restaurant a try. Located quite centrally in Brussels (not too far from Mannekin Pis and Grande Place), this place has a wonderful ambiance that is truly unique in the layout and decor. You can even find a library room full of books you can browse through. Service is decent here as well. Food is world food, which is pretty cool and I think they do a decent job at catching all the different flavors and tastes. However, I do think they overcharge for what they serve. When I went, I ordered the Menu 39 eur pp and with drinks it came to about 50 eur pp, which was expensive in my opinion for what I ate and drank. There are better places to eat, in my opinion, but Le Cercle des Voyageurs is not the worst either!

Lavender L.

Yelp
Not impressed. The truffle risotto was soggy and bland. The spinach ravioli had too many flavors going on that made it taste strange. Even the homemade ice tea tasted like sweet fruit juice without a hint of tea flavor. It is on the expensive side and needless to say, I won't be back. 2 stars fir the friendly service and quaint atmosphere.

Yelp
Updated: Moving this from 5/5 stars to 1/5. Oh no. Forget my earlier review below! New management had stripped this place of its charm, abolished the global menu, the travel library, and decided strawberry mojitos should be made with syrup and no lime...no doubt it saves them some money. Even worse, it's overpriced! I'm really sorry to be forced to say this, but I now recommend you avoid this place. What a pity, this was one of the few cool places in Brussels with good food AND service. I'm so unbelievably disappointed. ======================== Before they changed it - outdated. ======================== One of the nicest places to go for food or a nice drink downtown. Beautiful array of dishes from around the world (I recommended the steak or Thai salad). The setting is lovely, with a good ambiance and lighting. Maps on the walls, nice artwork and reasonable space between tables (a rarity). The staff are particularly friendly and actually seem to enjoy interacting with you. Service is prompt but without any feeling of over-stressed staff. The only criticism I would have is our waitress last night proudly continued the Belgian tradition of not writing down our food orders. And of course - as with 50% of the places in Brussels who have this stupid policy - she promptly forgot something. At least it wasn't a mixed up order when the plates arrive, so I guess we were lucky compared to other places. Honestly people just use a pen I won't think you are any less efficient! Otherwise we've eaten or gone for drinks here numerous times...highly recommend their mojito which is better than most you can find down the road in Place St Géry (Zebra, Mappa Mundo and Roi des Belges, etc.). To top it all off these guys make amazing fresh mint tea and deserts. This place is great to come mid-afternoon to just chill out and gorge on those two alone. In case I'm not clear I'm a big fan of this place!

Yelp
For somebody who has to travel to Brussels four to five times a year, I know very little about the city, a fact to be blamed on hard work, not lack of curiosity. The Cercle des Voyageurs is my very first favourite café in Brussels and I was delighted to find it, but I assume there will be many other great cafés in the city that I have so far missed on. Having explained why I do not know what I am talking about, here is to the café: it is a beautiful, colonial style café in a historical building, with very confortable leather armchairs and a bookshop/library in which you are welcome to spend hours browsing through travel books planning your next trip (or dreaming about it with no concrete plan to act on your fantasies, unfortunatelly a classic with me). I have not tried the food, but my espresso was correct and the juice I was served with it, pineapple with fresh mint, was the perfect refreshment to a very hot summer morning. Prices for both of these were ok, but lunch, which we did not try, was rather pricey (there is a Belgian theory that the combination of tomatoes and mozzarella is not to be found for under 10EUR) and cakes and pastries were the only option as far as snacks go and there was no breakfast menu, which was a real pity. The staff was also just nice enough not to be rude. This much said, the sheer beauty of the place and the delicious juice still compensate all the rest and I am sticking with my four stars.

Yelp
This is one of the most overrated place in Brussels. Decadent atmosphere, very poor service, very poor food quality and unexplicably high prices. Don't go there to eat. They do play music sometimes and the environment is totally nice. But do not go there to eat. We went for my girlfriend's birthday. After 1 hour and 45 minutes waiting for the food (We ordered two starters and two main dishes) we left. They kept telling us the food was about to come while eventually they admitted having lost the order.

Yelp
I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant. We arrived and wanted to have a quick lunch for 8 as we wanted to go sightseeing. Well.... That clearly wasn't the place to go! We waited 45 minutes to be served. Even the drinks were super long to arrive and it was really frustrating because we could see staff laughing behind the bar while we were waiting. When we asked the server what was taking so long, he answered rudely: "Well, you're 8 and you ordered 6 different dishes, what do you expect?!" (Sorry I've been to plenty of places where this was not a problem." Then eventually the dishes arrived, but the chips were not ready. The food was alright, but not up there. We had to wait 15 more minutes for the chips, by which we had already finished our plates as we had been starving for so long. Magnanimous, the waiter offered us... the bottle of tap water we ordered. OH THANK YOU SO MUCH. This restaurant is a real joke.

Yelp
Horrible place to drink. They change your seat to a non table and ignore you while ordering. Have to leave the restaurant because can't order one more beer.

Yelp
I was a regular of this beautiful, good and friendly restaurant 8 years ago. I loved the concept, the carefully prepared dishes and the service. We gave it a try on the 28.11.16 after a long absence. The decoration and the atmosphere are stıll there or even improved . I am afraid I can not say the same about the food. From the two starters and two main courses just the Cambodia salad was good and tasty. The rest was bad, really bad.The burger was beyond description. The bread was stale , the meet cold and dry. We got the impression the whole burger rushed through for a few seconds on the microwave before landing on our table. The stuffed aubergine was tasteless and lifeless. The calamari presumedly came directly from the Lidl frozen packs. True, the restaurant was full and there was two huge groups arriving after we ordered. That can not explain entirely this debacle The whole experience was deeply disappointing. The service was correct. They even proposed us coffee or drinks free of charge after the meal. We declined the offer. We suppose something went really wrong in the kitchen. It has to be proven if this was t a particular bad day or a standard feature of the new ' cercle des voyageurs' I normally don't care to about writing reviews. However this time I can not prevent myself from sharing with you these hard and sad facts. Francisco Falcao

Yelp
Lovely place for sitting down quietly, having a chat but above all tea. The place has a great selection of proper teas and infusions.
