Le Chalet Blanc

A truly charming boutique gem in Megève. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the lovely Alexandra and Hervé, whose genuine hospitality immediately made me feel at home. This is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. The rooms are quaint and beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches throughout. Molton Brown toiletries, a Nespresso machine with starbucks capsules, evian water at the bedside, comfy beds and pillows, soft carpets and evening turndown service add a sense of quiet luxury, while the atmosphere remains cosy and intimate. The heating in both the bedroom and bathroom is individually adjustable, which makes returning from a day on the slopes especially comforting. It is a great location, close to the center of Megeve. There is a supermarket just diagnol of the hotel. Before and after skiing, it was always a pleasure to be greeted by the friendly staff, who are consistently attentive and kind. There is a well organised ski room, and the chairlift is a seven minute walk away. Parking right outside the hotel is a practical advantage. What truly sets this hotel apart is the warmth and generosity of its hosts. Everything runs smoothly, yet nothing feels impersonal. I absolutely loved my stay and would return without hesitation.

After a long day of skiing and travel, we arrived at Le Chalet Blanc and asked for a small bit of soup and salad. Within minutes, a beautiful private table was set with the loveliest of fresh salads and homemade soups ever. It was delightful. Five star service and 100% attention to detail. Highly recommend the property.

Stayed in summer. Good breakfast and big, comfy beds, good location for walking into town. First time I've ever had to ring a bell to get back into a hotel before. Slightly snooty staff. Not crazy about the over-the-top stag decor and interior design either, or the lift music playing during breakfast. Five-star rating, but no air conditioning in the room for the 30-degree summer heat was not ideal and not five-star... not a good fit for me (neither is Megève), but adequate.

It is a new very clean nice hotel about 56 minutes walk to the town. Service is excellent. Breakfast is perfect. Very nice people. It is a small hotel small lobby and small rooms. But check the room options because we rented the least expensive option.

Le Chalet Blanc is a five star boutique Hotel steps away from the cobblestoned center of the charming and beautiful town of Megeve in the French Alps. Every detail of this Hotel is attended to by a friendly and attentive staff that gets to know each guest personally to provide, a unique and personal guest experience.|Mageve is easy to get to – only one hour by car from Geneva airport. The town features excellent restaurants and shops as well as the conveniences of a small supermarket and pharmacy. The highlight is the easy access to the mountains, with amazing skiing and hiking – all in the shadow of Mont Blanc.

Wonderful place!!! Very cosy and stylish hotel, comfortable and nice, well-furnished rooms. We felt like at home. the team was great and helpful. The breakfast is delicious. Very close to the ski lift. We will return here for the next season.

I planned a romantic ski weekend with my husband and while we loved Megeve, I would never in a million years set foot in this hotel again. There is nothing about this hotel that qualifies it to be a 5 or even 4 star hotel. For this hotel to not be an absolute scam, the room rates need to be slashed by about 75%.||||The hotel claims to be “in town” but in fact it is on the side of the high way leading towards the town. Our room was so small and so poorly ventilated that at night we had to have the window open in order to sleep. This meant listening to ongoing traffic, including snow machines, and trucks throughout the night. ||||There is not a single amenity, not even a restaurant (there is something that resembles a train dining car when you first walk in). The only nice thing I have to say is that the staff of about five sixteen year olds were very sweet and polite. The problem is Herve, the ever present owner and orchestrator of the disaster that is the Chalet Blanc.||||Beware of Chalet Blanc, there are countless charming hotels in Megeve but this is certainly not one of them.
