Le Chalet du Pharo

Cash only. Amazing food, wine, view. Lovely service. I would happily return. Mildly disconcerting as a solo traveller to walk into and away from at night as you need to walk through a rather dimly lit park. Otherwise, 100% worth the trip!

Magnifique view facing the beacon, the Notre Dame and the beach. Hard to find the place as a stranger/tourist. A bit crowded then have to wait approx 10-15 mins. My dish was deliciously attractive and tastes good even those are not truly fresh (personal idea) Last but not least, quite expensive

It was exceptional. We had been traveling around the region (Cassis, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille), but we weren’t very lucky with the restaurants we chose. However, on our last night, we came across this restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be an amazing experience — from the service (super friendly and fast), to the food (delicious and generous portions), and the view. I would highly recommend it.

We had a very disappointing experience here. We asked to sit at a table for just 20 minutes to enjoy a drink and the view — nothing more. Despite many empty tables, we were told all were "reserved," and that you can only sit if you're having a full meal. No exceptions, no flexibility. When we asked again, politely, we were met with unfriendly, dismissive attitudes. Honestly, the way we were spoken to was surprisingly rude. A beautiful location doesn’t make up for poor hospitality.

CASH ONLY! No cards! Beautiful setting and view of the Old Port and Museum. Walk thru the park and go down path to restaurant. Lunch was excellent. Stracciatella salad and Sea Bass tasted amazing. Staff was helpful and gave me the English menu :) Can quickly make reservations online. Take your time and enjoy the view! ATM cash machine outside park about 400m walk.

Incredible view of the entire city of Marseille. Food is good but you're really going to this place for the view and the atmosphere. Service is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend checking this place out for a romantic dinner.

Amazing view on the old port from the restaurant. Food was good and portion was perfect. The fish needed more seasoning as it was tasteless but the whole plate was good. They told us that they only take reservations but yet were too nice to accept us. I recommend giving this place a visit

Le Chalet du Pharo is an impressive historical building (commissioned by Napoleon III in the 1850s) with beautiful views of the harbor. We attended a group dinner of over 100 people there. Service was very slow, seems they didn't have the necessary staff to handle a large group. Food was so so, and ventilation was lacking as we ate inside on a warm evening. I would try them again on my own if in the area, and would request an outdoor table.

View was absolutely stunning. Food was above average. Service was beyond slow and locals seemed to get the tables with better views. Prices a bit inflated due to the view. Cash only:-(

Outstanding drinks and view. This is a trip all the way out here. It's tucked in a corner beneath the Palais de Pharo so it might be a little bit difficult to find. I also recommend making reservations. We both ordered cocktails - aperollete and clover club - and started with the octopus salad. Our host ordered cuttlefish for us, which was not that great. It was similar to calamari and not super special. If we could've ordered for ourselves we would've gotten the ravioli with Parmesan sauce which was the special. It is cash only.

Excellent prixe-fix menu and wonderful wine. The location and view are inspiring. Remember to bring cash -- no cards. Enjoy!

Good place, outside, in le Pharo, just below the garden, with a nice view on Le Vieux Port. Quite good food, nice staff. Book in advance.
