An Absolute Gem - Don't Miss This Experience! What an incredible Sunday at Vignoble Le Chat Botté in Hemingford! From the moment we arrived, owners Isabelle and Normand made us feel like old friends rather than customers. Their passion for winemaking shines through every story they share, and their hospitality is genuinely heartwarming. The serendipity of my wife meeting them at a concert the night before made our visit even more special, but their warmth would have won us over regardless. These aren't your typical Quebec wines - they're exceptionally well-assembled wines that challenge any preconceptions about local Quebec vintages. The property itself is stunning with ample parking and a beautiful setting that enhances the entire tasting experience. We left with three bottles and memories that will last much longer. If you're looking for authentic Quebec wine culture with owners who truly care about their craft and their guests, Le Chat Botté is an absolute must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

The owner is extremely nice, and knowledgeable, and the wines are excellent. The cognac aged red, and chat noire are both easily in my top 5 lists. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend stopping for a tasting

Excellent wine tasting experience just an hour away from Montreal. The owner is very kind and he explains every tasting. The price is more than reasonable. The quality is hors pair among the Quebec wines. The cherry on top? Their terrace is dog friendly so you can bring your pooch. 100% recommended.

Not to be missed winery on the Circuit du Paysan. Incredibly knowledgeable proprietor who is fully bilingual. Wines were excellent and we decided to purchase several. Apparently their wines are also available in some SAQs if you can't make it out to Hemmingford.

We decided to get there after tasting their wine in a restaurant. We enjoyed the place and we had time to talk with the owner. He was pleased to learn how we got to know about his wine and that the promotion he got from the restaurant as well.

My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time visiting the vineyard and truly enjoyed the selection of wines we tasted. The husband and wife owners were incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable in serving us and providing tasting notes and we left with more bottles than we had expected to buy! I truly cannot recommend this experience enough. (If you’re hoping to visit a few wineries in the day, I can also suggest ‘Le Mas des Patriotes,’ about 15 minutes away.)

The host was knowledgeable, inviting and the experience was wonderful and charming. Certainly gained a lot from this and the wine was superb! Loved the pairings! You have to try the straw wine there! Life is too short to drink cheap wine 😉

I spot Le Chat Botté on our way to Philion orchard and after collecting our apples we decide to examine the little winery. For our joy they are opened and wine tasting can begin. Without knowing what are we going into we decide to do the full tasting that includes all the wines. Note the tasting is not complimentary. Pours are not extremely generous, but absolutely sufficient to sense the bouquet of the wines and decide to buy some. Our big disycovery is the straw wine, the owner would explain in details the process of preparing it during the tasting. There are three of them produced by Le Chat Botté, they are on the sweet side, but rich and extremely aromatic. As we sip I build a vision about foie gras and the amber straw wine. We leave with three bottles of different types, one of them will be indeed consumed later at home with mousse de foie gras and strong cheese, and believe me it was amazing. The straw wines cost 40 cad the bottle (35 cad if you buy two), but they are the absolute treat and worth buying. Beautiful discovery and strongly recommended to visit!
