fois gras flavored boudin blanc is ok paleron de boeuf is way too salty, a bit bland, I make better beef stew :( and the potatoes is also salty… escargot is good fois gras is delicious (yes we accidentally ordered similar food, miscommunication between the waiteress and us) pricey and you have to order one main course per person, i would expect more from this price… i don’t know what happened to the beef stew

Probably, the best place to have a dinner in Chamonix! Outstanding meal. Tasted "pulp" and tuna- WOW! Also a great wine card. I bet you will not regret eating here!

Everything is very thoughtful and full of personal touches. As entree, the foie Gras and scargot were spectacular, and the cheese white wine fundue was obscenely delicious. It's the type of place that won't make you a well done steak, because it kills the flavor. Wife gets upset, but I stand by the quality! At the end, the meat was juicy and delicious, at the right spot. Friendly staff adds up to the experience. One remark: need to leave a deposit upfront for the reservation; but it's worth it

Exactly what you’d want in a place like Chamonix, cozy atmosphere, off the beaten track, great service and even better food.

Exceptional food, Michelin star worthy, in a quaint setting. The duck was perfectly cooked, medium rare. The escargot were exquisitely cooked in a parsley butter and oil mixture. The tuna was seared on one side and marinated in citrus with a mild hint of wasabi. Wow! And the service was also excellent. Very nice and friendly staff.

Favorite restaurant in Chamonix! Favorite dishes were the tartiflette & chicken. The french toast dessert was on the sweeter side for me, but with a little less carmel sauce - it was divine. Service is superb! The chef (& owner) made his way around the room, & shared their homemade limoncello (the tarragon was a very pleasant surprise!). Reservations strongly recommended as there are limited tables.

Google
Good food overall, and a very good atmosphere- cozy and quiet. One thing I would note to the owners: on the menu you have listed in English “hunger steck”, but I believe this is meant to be “hanger steak”.

Really good experience, the staff was very nice and friendly. It is rather small, reservation is needed but it wasn’t uncomfortable. We had a great table by the window (try to reserve it!) and the food was delicious.

Yelp
Best meal I've had in all of Chamonix! Given we weren't staying in town that long (4 days) but by far my favorite restaurant. The best escargot I've ever had. If you were like me and don't really enjoy eating snails, this is the place to eat them. There is an art to making these little guys delicious. My niece tried them for the first time and liked it so much she asked if she could have another. I love that they serve them outside of the shell. I also had the chicken with morel mushroom sauce. It was delightful and very appetizing. My husband had the raclette. The dish came out with a big plates of cheese, some sliced ham, and potatoes. The whole meal was neat because you grilled the cheese on a tabletop non stick pan designed for this meal. It really was a neat thing to watch. I also had some nibbles of the pate (terrine de campagne) - savory and melts in your mouth; and the goat cheese salad - I wish I ordered this for myself. The whole restaurant is small. The kitchen for the restaurant is even smaller. But the ambiance is great. You can see the chefs at work from your table. The tiny spiral staircase to the restroom adds charm to the whole experience. The people who work here are great. Super accommodating for our large party of 11. Completely patient with us and very friendly. Definitely recommend is place.

Yelp

Yelp
One of our best meals in Chamonix!! We didn't have a reservation but luckily there were only two of us, so we were able to get in. We got the escargot and then the Steak and tuna dinners.

Yelp
Wonderful food and good wine, but please double check the bill because they added additional charges (supposedly a mistake)! They posted one thing on the bill, but they charged more on the card!

Yelp
If you are visiting Chamonix France, this is a must! We had traditional Fondue the first night and it was delicious so we made a reservation for another night while we were here. We both had the Tartiflette which came with a salad. It was amazing and I highly recommend. The place is small so I would recommend getting a reservation. The wait staff were also amazing. Don't miss this place!

Yelp
AMAZING place. Definitely deserves more reviews/stars. After a couple of days of disappointing food and service in Chamonix, we went to this lovely little restaurant for our last evening. We were so overwhelmed with joy, because of the food and the service. We had two different types of steaks, and three different glasses of wine, and everything was so so good. The staffers were so kind and helpful as well. My mom had trouble with paying, because her card stopped working. We tried running to an ATM, but was denied there as well. They were so patient and believed us, when we said that we just needed to call our bank. Everything worked out at the end, and it was such a positive experience. HIGHLY recommend.

Yelp
Excellent food and service - right in the middle of town .... definitely stop by and see this establishment

Yelp
Very nice family cooking. A nice cozy restaurant in the heart of Chamonix with fine dining from a menu "gastronomique". The fresh snails are simply delicious coming from a local farm of the region.

Yelp
Very nice food and ambience. Insanely rude waitress to the point you laugh at how horrible she treats everyone, until you see the bill. We'll try again in a few years and make it five stars if they manage to get rid of her since everything else definitely ticks all the boxes, a shame!

Yelp
Amazing food. Cute, small and quaint with a variety of dishes that are all amazing. We came as a group of 15 with a reservation at Munchie, but when we arrived there they told us they had no such reservation and would not accommodate - don't recommend that place as extremely rude. So now without a reservation and a huge group we figured we would have to split up. Luckily a friend walked into Le Chaudron and they agreed to accommodate with no reservation. We are so glad Munchie is so disorganized because this was the best meal of the trip. All our food came out at the same time, the right orders, at the right pace, cooked perfectly. We had the scallops with truffle - amazing. Goat cheese salad was perfectly balanced. Other friends had the duck, escargot and the sirloin and were extremely pleased. I'm a rather picky restaurant and bar goer and this by far exceeded my standards with food, decor, service. Stand up job by the kitchen and wait service!!
