My partner and I had a great one night stay at Le Cloître. To start with, the reception staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The furnishings are very modern all throughout. We booked the junior suite as it was the only room advertising AC, so beware if you’re going during the warmer months and booking a different room. The room was excellent, although it did not have a fridge or much of a bathroom countertop (minor comments). Overall, the design was very cool. We tossed up going to the restaurant immediately outside which looked great, but the hotel is well positioned for walking so we ended up getting dinner while taking an evening stroll through the old town. Would go back again and recommend to friends.

The rooms were very comfortable, good sized with large and bathroom and shower.|The location can't be beat. Centrally located but reasonably quiet. The breakfast was delicious. The croissants were some of the best we had in France and the dining room was beautifully decorated. In the reception area there was a fresh, cold water urn with floating citrus fruit and we were always greeted warmly by the desk staff.

Le Cloitre occupies a lovely corner in Arles. With a strong design aesthetic, the hotel is most welcoming, as are the staff, who enjoy making sure their guests are happy. While no air conditioning is in the room, they supply a high-end Dyson Tower and overhead fans that bring in cool air. Our room was huge by European standards, as was the separate attached bathroom. The proximity to everything is a huge plus. We were impressed by all the pre-booking suggestions for dining they helped us make, along with answering our questions. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Their restaurant on the patio outside the hotel is one of my favorite dining experiences in Arles. We suggest you have the hotel make you a reservation.

Great location for a romantic stay. Stayed 3 nights in this boutique hotel and had a great experience. The beds were very comfortable and the room was big and clean. The only downside was that there is no air conditioning so even in April the room would get a bit stuffy at night. A big ceiling fan really was helpful in this case but take this into consideration for summer. |Breakfast was good, sort of buffet style but with limited choices of fruits but ok. |Parking was provided close by with a discount rate.

Hotel Le Cloitre exceeded our expectations and we recommend it for an enjoyable quiet stay in Arles. We found the staff was great; they responded to our emails addressing all of our questions. They arranged train pickup, recommendations for restaurants, along with address other requests we had. They always appeared to be interested in making certain we were enjoying our trip.||Hotel location was great; easy walking distance to attractions.||Room was very good. We had a junior suite. It was clean, large, and quiet.||Breakfast was the standard French breakfast; pastries, meats, cheeses, hard boiled egg, etc.||While the hotel is not a 5 star hotel; it is a great hotel and we would use it again the next time we are in the region.

Despite some other comments this was very easy to find, a stones throw from the arena & theatre , down the hill to the Hotel du Ville shops etc. Hotel decor is different but we liked it room was large bed was comfortable & the shower was excellent. we had only planned 2 nights in Arles but we were so taken with the place that we booked in for an extra night , ALL the staff were helpful & very polite . The only thing that stops this being a 5 star rating was the lack of aircon in the room - it was very hot even with the windows open

While the staff at reception was very nice, that's about the only nice thing we can say about our experience at this hotel. ||We stayed in room 19 which backed onto an open space filled with very loud pidgeons that make noise day and night. Since there is no air-conditioning in the room, we had to leave the windows open (quite hot in Arles during our stay) which exacerbated the pidgeon noise and let bugs in as well. There is a ceiling fan that made a loud buzzing noise contributing further to us not being able to sleep well during our stay. We shared this information with the staff who acknowledged and validated these problems so they should not be surprised by this review.||Another issue was using the hairdryer affected the rest of the lights in the room. Lastly, for this type of hotel, the breakfast buffet was quite average.||All in all, definitely not worth it!||

Yelp
Gorgeous! What an amazing hotel in Arles! Staff was very friendly, knew English but also let us practice our French with them! Very clean, very pretty and the decor was beautiful! The tile work in our room and bathroom was so beautiful and yet unique and modern at the same time! We went during the off season but I'm sure in the summer the cool tile feels refreshing during the French summers. Super close to main local attractions and museums as well as a nice glass of rosé. Wish we were back there now!

Yelp
Absolutely spectacular rooms, delightful breakfast, and excellent location. One of the best hotels I've ever visited. We were lucky to get a room up under the eaves; out the bathroom window we saw the old courtyard a few hundred years old, and out the bedroom window we saw the Roman amphitheater a few thousand years old. Both windows have screens (probably inspired by the ever-present pigeons, rather than mosquitoes); with both open, the breeze flowed through our airy aerie. Breakfast is well done here --- a large spread of sweets including baguettes, pain au chocolat, apricots, prunes, hazelnuts, and croissants; savory including 4-5 types of cheese and some sliced meat. The breakfast host takes orders for coffees (including decaf) and eggs (the 5-minute was nicely soft-boiled, perhaps a little runny; the table next to us got a 10-minute egg.) The orange juice is fresh squeezed. (There was some annoying street noise from motor scooters and rap-playing cars zooming up the curving rue du Cloître, but not terrible. More entertainingly, there were a series of children's dance classes over at the amphitheater, starting with elementary school and proceeding through high school.) There's a second-floor terrace that promises drinks pulled by the front-desk receptionist if you dial 9, although we were unable to reach them when we tried; also a good place for a small picnic and a sunset. Truly spectacular.
