Sophie & Laurent are the best hosts who really make you feel at home. The location of the Clos is great and close to various appelations and right across the street is a fantastic restaurant. The breakfast is homemade, fresh and just delicious. The rooms are equipped with selected furnitures, they’re beautiful and very spacious. Love the style! There’s a library (good wine books), games, a pool and the best regional wines available (you have to check it out, also older vintages available). And of course Sophie & Laurent know all the best restaurants in the region. We love the Clos des Tilleuls and and have returned several times already. Thank you very much and see you soon.

We were a group of 4 adults who found the perfect base for an extended weekend of exploration and wine tasting in Burgundy. The hosts are super friendly and focussed on ensuring the best experience for their guests. Demigny itself is a very sleepy little place with only one real restaurant (book ahead!). We followed the website recommendations for restaurants in surrounding villages and were not disappointed. The restored parsonage has an informal atmosphere, comfortable and airy rooms, and a large lush garden with fruit trees and flowers. Only the nearby church bells can disturb your peace. The pool was not open when we were there, but must be great for relaxation on a summer day after sightseeing. Highly recommended!

Our second long stay in this fabulous deluxe ´bed and breakfast’ in the heart of Burgundy. Once again our wonderful hosts, Sophie and Laurent, helped us with everything from discovering new restaurants to booking a hair appointment! |We started each morning with a feast of a breakfast including home made jams to complement the fresh croissants and bread, homemade yoghurt and little gourmandises. There’s always eggs, freshly squeezed juice and a delightful selection of cheeses. |We spent each day exploring the region and eating in some fabulous local restaurants. We looked forward each day to returning to our spacious and well appointed bedroom in the beautifully refurbished former presbytery that is surrounded by amazing gardens.

Sophie and Laurent were so welcoming it felt like we were visiting old friends. The property is amazing, truly a perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The location was perfect for exploring the region with most restaurants and attractions within a comfortable driving distance. The pool was a welcomed oasis to get away from the heat or just a much needed late afternoon break before dinner. We were spoiled by Sophie and Laurent’s excellent recommendation of vineyards and restaurants. Finally, we miss the daily breakfast spread already, it was truly a treat to walk up to and something Sophie takes meticulous care to prepare for her guests. Highly recommended if you are looking for a comfortable, non-pretentious getaway in the region.

NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL!! We arrived a few hours early with very young kids and were not allowed in the building, not even allowed to use the external facilitaties. We fully accept the room wasn’t ready however the owner refused to let us in or use any of the facilities. Even our 5 year old was not allowed to use the bathroom in first instance. MOREOVER, they unilaterally cancelled our stay due to which we did not have accommodation for the night with two kids below 5 years!! Very unreliable hence recommend not to book this hotel for any purpose.

It may be hard to admit that a B&B could be better than a luxury hotel. Sophie and Laurent have built a one-of-a-kind experience. In my opinion, this unique experience stems from two key ingredients. First, everything, from the rooms to the breakfast to the practicalities, has been designed with a great sense of detail. Second, Sophie and Laurent have engaged with us with a unique mastering of the science of hospitality, being truly passionate about their business, and highly professional in their way of engaging with hosts. Also, if you can, don’t forget to book a wine tasting with Laurent. It is an amazing starter wine tasting experience. Nb: I just fear that with leaving a laudative review, it will only get harder to book Clos des Tilleuls in the future.

Le clos des tilleuls is a real delight. A stylish guest house with extremely warm and welcoming hosts, we had a wonderful three night stay here and I would not hesitate to go back.||From the moment I got in touch, Laurent was very helpful, and always quick to respond, providing suggestions for things to do in the area (La Voie des Vignes cycle ride being an absolute must!) as well as giving us great restaurant recommendations, and helping us book tastings. We also had a wonderful, private tasting with Laurent in their cellar on our first night (during a rather atmospheric thunder storm) which was a great introduction to the region, and enjoyed many fabulous Burgundian wines from their well-stocked wine fridge during our stay. ||The rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were equally impressive - homemade yogurt and jam a particular highlight! In all aspects, the details are meticulous and well thought out.||Le clos des tilleuls definitely delivers on style and comfort but is the warmth of the hosts, Sophie and Laurent, who are always so welcoming and helpful, that truly make this a great find.
