Le Clos du Colombier (Pommard, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"An 1835 manor house in the Burgundy village of Pommard is the raw material for the Hôtel Le Clos du Colombier 1817 Vignes & Spa, and to say it retains much of its 19th-century charm would be an understatement. Its owners, though, are savvy decorators, and there’s plenty of contemporary style to be found within. As the name promises, there’s a lovely little spa with views of the vineyards; Pommard wines, naturally, are available in plentiful quantities. From mid-December through the end of September the hotel’s own restaurant serves fine seasonal fare, and others are available nearby." - Tablet Hotels

We had an amazing experience at Le Clos du Colombier in Pommard. The location is fantastic surrounded by beautiful vineyards and close to many charming wine caves. We booked a junior suite, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and pillows and a clean, well-kept bathroom. From our window, we enjoyed stunning views of the winery and the pool. It’s wonderfully peaceful at night. And most importantly they have Air conditioning for the warm weather. The owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast in the morning was simple but delicious just enough to start the day right. There’s plenty to do nearby: visit wineries, go for a run, enjoy cycling (as we did), or simply relax by the spotless pool, which was refreshingly low in chlorine. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was excellent and reasonably priced a perfect way to end the day with a glass of their great selection of wines. The whole property is beautifully maintained, and we truly can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in the heart of Burgundy’s wine country.

3rd stay at this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. Only had one night and wish we could have stayed longer.|Beautiful peaceful hotel overlooking vineyards in the lovely village of Pommard. Nice pool to use during your stay, very cold and definitely refreshing from the hot sun!|Superb room with a view and good large bathroom with great shower. Only downside is there was no full length mirror but minor problem.|The breakfast on the terrace was fantastic with everything you could want.|Parking was an extra €15 per night even though it is within the hotel grounds.

We had a wonderful stay in this family owned hotel. We stopped here for 3 nights en route to Provence to explore the area by bike. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and were very accommodating. They were happy to store our bikes safely in one of their outbuildings. The hotel and situation are beautiful and peaceful. The hotel is tastefully renovated with contemporary touches. The bedroom was elegant and very comfortable with a large bed, powerful shower and a Nespresso machine, air con and free drinking water. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local ingredients - fruit, yogurt, eggs and pastries. We enjoyed a BBQ cooked by the host which was very tasty and good value. |Thank you for a wonderful stay we will be recommending this place to our friends and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Great communication throughout, and warmly welcomed. on arrival. Had a nice wine tasting with Hélène and then recovered from our drive down in our beautiful traditional room. We only stayed for the one night so had opted to eat at the Hotel, food was very well prepared and tasty, as you wood expect. Breakfast was equally good. Very much a family run Hotel, very comfortable and a great base for exploring Beaune and it's surroundings.

We had a wonderful experience at the Clos du Colombier! Veronique, Philippe and their children are amazing hosts. This hotel feels like a beautiful home with a very nice atmosphere. The rooms are elegant, the food is good, the wines are lovely. We did a wine tasting as well and we enjoyed it very much. The owners are happy to provide any suggestions on what to do and see in the area. Moreover, when our daughter hurt herself on a bike tour and needed stitches, Veronique and her daughter even came to pick us up by car and brought us to the doctor. I don’t know how to thank you enough for this. Apart from the little incident of our daughter, we had an amazing stay and will be back for sure, enjoying great life in Burgundy at le Clos du Colombier.

Lovely small family run hotel right in the center of Pommard. Very quiet and relaxing. The house is really beautiful, welcoming and tastefully decorated. Our hosts were lovely and we got to chat with them. We did wine tasting there which we thought was very informative and enjoyable. Our room was apparently a Junior Suite, it was nice and very comfortable but we wouldnt quite classify it as Junior Suite, except the price of course. There is no TV in the rooms which did not bother us but may bother others. The wi-fi was good inside the house so we were able to use our tablet for a bit of tv watching. We overall had a very enjoyable stay with lovely hosts but dinner was a let down...and that's a shame as a fine dining experience would have concluded our stay beautifully.. the food was just very average with a set menu and even though it was reasonably priced (they did charge for their "own water" which we thought was tap water that they may have filtered?), it was just not great. Afternoon snacks were average too. We got 2 toasted sandwiches, E15 each, we thought these were very expensive but I guess this is the price for such an establishment. Breakfast however was really nice. A really nice simple continental breakfast but really good and good quality products were served. The restaurant room was very pleasant and we enjoyed being there. Overall, we enjoyed a lovely stay! Make sure you check the price of what you are ordering though (drinks for example) and do not assume things as you may end up with some surprises!

Beautiful hotel and property, thoughtful and attentive staff, delicious meals, comfortable and peaceful rooms. The owners were welcoming and so helpful with suggestions of places to visit, and arranging taxis, etc. They were very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with them.

What a special place. The Clos du Colombier is a charming converted wine makers home, now a luxurious hotel. Even though we arrived after 7:00 pm, the small staff greeted us as welcome guests. They quickly found a great restaurant for us in Beaune while showing us to our great big rooms. Breakfast in the mornings was so delicious, with the eggs and bacon prepared to order, homemade yogurt and fresh bake goods, we were completely satisfied. They even helped find us a wonderful spot in a Michelin star restaurant for dinner our second night. The comfortable king size bed, bath that included a bath tub shower combination, and the in room coffee all made this a five star experience. I hope to return!
