Le Clos du Gusquel

We stayed three night at Le Clos de Gusquel and we were very happy with our choice. The location is superb, only few minutes from Vannes, but completely in the country side. The view from the window to the open fields, and the little sheep grazing was simply amazing. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast superb, with home made jams, home made yogurt, croissants, apple juice, fresh fruits, little cakes and traditional Breton galettes. Everything was delicious. But what makes this place so special is the owner, Christelle. She is an amazing host, she has thought of everything before hand, discreet, proud of her cultural heritage and of the area and she certainly makes the visitor to feel immediately at home. Next time in Morbihan we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Christelle for the wonderful time!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Le Clos du Gusquel. We loved the quiet location in the countryside close to Vannes and Auray. Christelle was a fabulous host giving us suggestions on restaurants nearby and places to visit in the district. The breakfast was abundant with homemade fruit, cereal and baked items. We really appreciated Christelle’s effort in obtaining gluten free bread for my husband and to bake him his own little treats! We highly recommend Le Clos du Gusquel and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

It saddens me to be the first person to write a less than excellent review for Le Clos du Gusquel but I’m afraid our stay was far from perfect. The building and its interior are very stylishly decorated and the effort that has been made is very evident in every aspect of the experience however the location greatly lets it down. There’s nowhere to eat dinner anywhere near the chambres d’hôte and we ended up eating a very poor dinner on both evenings of our stay. We weren’t given any recommendations and just told to go to Vannes, which we did and were less than successful in finding a suitable eatery. Other than the poor location our stay was acceptable, breakfast is excellent. We came with our noisy little toddler who was clearly not appreciated. This place is definitely not child friendly and more a couples place to stay. The bedroom was also really cold at night and I had to pile clothes on top of the duvet to try and get warm! Our hostess didn’t ask us if we enjoyed our time there, so we didn’t have the opportunity to voice our various complaints. However, we were very grateful to her for allowing us to bring our little dog. If you’re a couple and willing to drive quite far to find dinner go for it, if not maybe this isn’t the place for you.

We enjoyed our stay here and our host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. Lovely comfy bed.||It was unusually hot during our stay and the pool was very welcome.||Breakfast was always good and Christelle always bent over backwards to respond to any requirements.||Would recommend

With facilities like Wi-Fi sauna home cinema and an outdoor pool, peaceful surroundings and only a few miles from Vannes. My wife and I stayed for the last 2 nights. A beautiful room and a very welcoming host, who gave us lots of great sightseeing tips. Amazing breakfast and 2 lovely restaurants nearby for dinner. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Clos du Gusquel and would definitely come again. We had everything we needed: a nice host, who gave very good advices, a beautiful Chambre D'Hotes with a kitchen, pool and a big garden, a tasty breakfast and a home cinema to watch the football world championship :) ||Christelle, thank you for everything!

Nice location : very quite in the middle of the fields. Only nature around. Relatively close to the city of Vannes (you need a car to get there !).||Nice B&B : very clean, very friendly host Christelle, very nice rooms, nice pool and a nice breakfast.||We'll be back soon. be sure ...
