Le Clos Saint-Martin

An absolute gem! Located at in the heart of historic Caen this wonderfully historic building has been beautifully restored. From the entrance to the courtyard to our room, the whole experience is typically French and utterly charming. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area A+++++

Fabulous stay! Many folks stay in Bayeau when visiting the beaches of Normandy but Caen is less touristy! This small boutique hotel is not far from the beaches and offers a glimpse of local life. ||Hotel staff is friendly and rooms are clean! Hotel is very quiet. The only thing that wakes you up is the birds! Rooms are not air conditioned but windows open and they provide fans. ||We stayed in a family room that was perfect for three! Twin bed in one room and queen in the other. Nice sitting area with great selection of drinks in the mini fridge. Wonderful breakfast too! ||Relaxing atmosphere!

Stunning gite behind street positioned heavy grren doors! Opens by digital video, to the most beautiful gite! Three floors, very steep narrow marble steps to rooms. Lovely breakfast dining room. Continental style breakfast, fresh and a choice of meats, cheese, tea, coffee, fruit juices, fruit. Attic rooms are beautiful, large, comfortable double bed, a nice shower/ toilet room with window view over rooftops to town. Old, quaint, quite stunning . Outside courtyard with sepertae Gite. Attentive owners and staff. Gite is perfect for visiting the town [6 minutes!] and attractions [ Chateau/Castle, Cathedrals, Abbey etc..[ within walking distance [ 15 minutes and great attractions to visit].

Tres Magnifique! I found this wonderful hotel on booking dot com. The rooms are clean and adorable. The breakfast was delicious and welcomed after a long day of travel. Highly recommend!!

Cute and appealing place. Some issues with details but rooms good sized. Shower not cleaned well. Internet spotty. Overall would visit again

Great location and decent value for the price. Breakfast was basic but good and the staff were friendly and quick to respond on email. The attention to detail in the room was a bit sloppy. The drapes need to be fixed, a former guest’s used gum was on the floor and several lamps did not work. The mattress needs to be replaced and the shower floor is also slick as ice. Be careful.

Lovely 16th century mansion with history. Lovely room, the red room with a view of court yard has a nice shower, plush towels, internet and wifi. Walk to Cafe, restaurants and castle. Staff are helpful warm and welcoming. Would stay here again!

This hotel in the middle of Caen is a gem! The blue room is very spacious, very well decorated, the bathroom is very nice and everything is absolutely spotless. Isolation from noise and heat is perfect from the inside and the outside. The service is friendly and the breakfast is very good. Just note that parking in the middle of Caen is not super easy. I highly recommend the place and hope to go back!
