We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel could not be better — right at the entrance to Colmar’s old town, which makes it very easy to explore everything on foot. For guests arriving by car, there are parking spaces directly in front of the building, which is very convenient. The bathroom was a positive surprise: spacious, with a generous shower, and the toilet located in a separate room. Everything felt new and very clean.
On arrival, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Double Room, which at first sounded like a lovely treat. However, the room itself was not really our style. It had a rather dark atmosphere with dark green walls, and only a small window facing a shared courtyard terrace. The terrace was divided by a wall from the neighbouring room, which made the space feel a bit tight, and unfortunately there was no view from the room. Based on the photos we had seen online, we were expecting something warmer and more romantic, so this came as a slight disappointment.
That said, since we were only staying for one night, it was absolutely fine. The mattress was very comfortable, and we slept well. For a short stay, this room was more than acceptable, but if we had planned to stay longer, we would definitely have asked to change to another room that better matched our expectations.
