We only sat outside and had drinks and coffees - reasonable prices. Lovely position in Vezelay with lots of shade. Fantastic waitress who has a really sparkling personality - so welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Compostelle! The room was very clean and comfortable. Also it had a cozy balcony with a nice view of Vézelay valley. The staff is just wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The location is great as well. I highly recommend this hotel when you visit Vézelay!

The team at this hotel is quite wonderful. They were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The decor is a little tired, but it is a very clean hotel and serves a good breakfast. Far more charming, relaxing and inviting than a big, modern, glossy hotel. We shall certainly stay here again. I cannot comment on their English as I speak French.

Our van broke down on toll road on Friday and will not be repaired until Tuesday so the taxi driver recommended coming here... The hotel is clean.. The bedrooms are quirky but functional, The views we had are beautiful. Due to us having limited French the staff were kind and patient and helped us... The receptionist is always happy and the kitchen staff interact with you all the time and it's worth paying for the breakfast because tea and coffee are in tap.. We would never have come here if it wasn't for fate and I am so glad we did

The hotel is located in an old building, but the rooms are comfortable enough. The bathroom was fine, and the shower nice and hot. The beds were ok too. We did not take the breakfast, as a coffee and a croissant in town was less than half the price. The location is fabulous, right next to the city gate, going up to the cathedral. Friendly staff.

I stayed at Le Compostelle Vezelay at tye start of our walk on the Vezelay Way Camino.||Reception was quick and friendly. My first floor room looked out over roofs to the country side. My little balcony was a great place to admire the view. The room was simply but comfortably furnished. The bathroom was functional, but the shower over the bath lacked a shower curtain. Breakfasts were simple but adequate. There were good restaurants nearby. The old village is very charming, and a visit to the church of St Mary Magdelen is a must.

This hotel is perfect for families. We had a garden room and they let our children play in the garden. They even put Easter eggs out for our kids. Extremely accommodating. Clean rooms and cozy atmosphere.

Situated on one of the great pilgrimage routes across France this village ouzes history and charm. Many people stay here who are pilgrims and there is a terrace bar and buffet breakfast. The rooms are simple but clean and we enjoyed having access onto the garden through our windows. Vezelay is stunning and with a lovely abbey and restaurants to suit all budgets it is a great place for a stop over off the main autoroutes. The hotel is in a perfect location with good parking at the foot of the Main Street to the abbey and a bakery that serves coffee just round the corner.

Yelp
This hotel had one of the biggest rooms we've seen so far in France. It had a window that opened up into a courtyard, it was quite pretty. The staff are very friendly. We had a beer on the patio in the front of the hotel.
