Dinner for two last night, in this little hidden gem of Paris. Small place but with a beautiful Parisian atmosphere. A reduced menu but with excellent dishes, all of the highest quality. Elegant and attentive service. We spent much less than we expected! Absolutely recommended brasserie! Top!

This a scaled down version of the restaurant next door : « Le Petit Marguery ». It is less formal, the menu is more limited, but the prices are much lower. And it is also very good. Traditionnal french cuisine reinterpreted. Never disappointed. Perfect place to go before or after a session at the movie theater "l'Escurial"

Yelp
This little bistro is a great find in Paris (near Metro Les Goblines) We read about it and decided to give it a try. The first time we went, we were seated promptly around 7PM (when they open for dinner). We decided on the Daily Special, which included appetizer, main dish and dessert - All for 21.50 Euros (March 2015). I got the rabbit which was good, but not excellent, but my BF got the pork dish and it was Sublime !! So much we went back the day after and we both got the Pork. This second night, the same pork was made slightly different (Sauce), but still very good. They usually fill up around 8PM so reservations are essential !! Get an inexpensive but good bottle of wine to go with the meal and you are set !!

Yelp
I have walked by Le Compoir Marguery almost every day since moving to Paris and finally had the chance to go in for a dinner with a few friends. Our server was extremely friendly and was able to explain the options (as well as vegetarian options if we opted for those) on the prix fixe since EVERYTHING looked like a delicious option. You cannot make a wrong choice. As each course came out of the kitchen, I never wanted them to end! It was my most enjoyable meal I have had in Paris thus far and one of the most reasonably priced as well. We took our time catching up over our dinner and did not feel rushed at all as the restaurant started to fill up. For my dessert option, I chose the Tarte Tatin and would literally stop by for that as a meal every day if I could. Actually, come to think of it, I guess there isn't a reason not to...

Yelp
Dinner at Le Comptoir Marguery was the highlight of my weekend visit to Paris. Le Comptoir Marguery is the smaller, less expensive version of Au Petit Marguery next door - however, the quality is still top-notch! We absolutely adored every dish: for appetizers, we ordered the pate and the escargot in garlic butter. For my main entree, I ordered the macaroni and cheese with ham - one of the best versions I have ever had! My family also had the fish and a beef dish (I forgot which), and they were both equally delicious. For dessert, we shared the apple tart with a dollop of cream. Our server was incredibly friendly and patient in describing every dish to us. Le Comptoir Marguery is a must for authentic Parisian cuisine!

Yelp
Service was fantastic. The menu was in French, but the server generally translated every dish for us (also taking the time to explain the specials). We made reservations, though they weren't necessary; the place didn't get busy until we were about to leave and they still had an entire back room available for seating if necessary. The food was fine, but generally unremarkable and unmemorable. Due to a language barrier (I'm assuming), I didn't actually get the correct dish that I ordered, but it was fine and I ate it. It was a fish dish and I don't typically like fish, so it was perhaps part of the reason I wasn't impressed. My husband got a duck dish and raved about how absolutely perfect it was. The desserts were fine, but not great. The wine list was affordable, but not overly impressive.
