"A rebrand in 2023 welcomed what was formerly called 'Le Comptoir' into the international stable of Robuchon Ateliers, yet as the original name implied, the counter still remains the best place to sit if you want a clear view of the chefs at work. The various menus, meanwhile, offer a wide selection of contemporary French dishes, from soufflés to langoustines, sweetbreads to lobster – and, of course, the legendary and gloriously buttery pomme purée." - Michelin Inspector

We went here for breakfast, it was really a satisfying meal in London conditions. The prices are affordable, the environment is really clean and decent. I wish the staff were a little more friendly. Maybe the portions could be a little bigger because we were not full with a sandwich. If you go here, you should definitely try the croissants. It was the best croissant I've ever had in my life.

First of all, the atmosphere is calm, nice, and luxurious. Secondly, the staff is very polite and considerate all the time. I was able to see the chef while dining and I was impressed how focused and hard working he was, as well as the rest of the staff. And finally, the food was beyond delicious! I loved their sea brim carpaccio as a starter. I had the lobster spaghetti as a main dish and the lobster was very fresh and tasty, but the pasta was a bit much for me as a quantity. However, my boyfriend had their sole fish as a main dish and it was absolutely worth every bite!!! Finally, the desserts were a nice finish to the dinner. All of them looked good and delicious, but I chose a more fruity one, which I was very happy with! Overall, it was a very good experience at the restaurant and absolutely worth it coming for a dinner again!

Wow! What an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived at the restaurant, the excellent service began. Table service was attentive, well-paced, and exemplary. The dishes were delicious and beautiful, and the tasting menu was a truly enjoyable journey. Service, food, atmosphere - all 10/10. Can’t wait to bring friends and family here when we return to London.

The restaurant is beautiful, the food I wish there was more flavour to it. Went for my mum’s birthday and was a bit disappointed they couldn’t offer not even 1 sauce for her dishes due to allergies, despite booking ahead and mentioning her needs. The wine list is to die for though and the bread of course, because of their bakery being one of the best in London

Went there for dinner with some friends, excellent service, staff were friendly, organized and professional. The place had a very nice ambiance. The food overall was delicious, the carpaccio, the sliders, the wagyu steak and the spaghetti with truffle were the dishes I liked the most. The mashed potato that they serve with the steak was top notch! I’m not going to lie, the portions were small, but it really was a special experience overall. I loved that they had a non-alcoholic section in their cocktail menu which i enjoyed before the meal came out. And our waiter gave us some dessert on the house which was a very nice gesture!

Exquisite. Absolutely deliciously beautiful presentated french food. The decoration is so chic! As a French person, I found this restaurant “Atelier” better than some Michelin Stared restaurants I have tried in the past. All staff I encountered spoke fluently French which made the atmosphere familiar and warm. Will definitely come back whenever I can, as I had a wonderful Christmas Lunch with family. Love it.

We went twice; once a little after it opened up and tonight again. We did not think it could get any better but it did. If you want to treat yourself to a special dinner, this is the place to go. We have rarely been to a place around the world where the restaurant design, atmosphere, service and food are all outstanding. Gary took excellent care of us! Such an outstanding service and attention to detail to his guests. It made the dinner experience extra special.

Yelp
If you have been to the now closed location in Covent Garden, the new location in Mayfair will be a disappointment. The new Mayfair location has a white marble counter and a narrow kitchen versus the warm woods and deep kitchen in the old Covent Garden location. I was the first guest that evening, arriving exactly at my 6pm reservation time. There was a black sesame seed on the counter where I was seated. The menu is limited compared to other locations I have visited and with only one tasting menu for dinner. Surprisingly, there seemed to be more pre fixe options for lunch. Noeme, the sommelier, was excellent. She was the highlight of my meal with outstanding recommendations for pairings with meal. Each wine was expertly described as well as the reason she chose it to go with a particular course. I thought the scallops were slightly overcooked. The langoustines were excellent but the server didn't describe the micro herbs salad and various sauces and seasoning on the plate. He just said, "here are some lovely langoustines." My Japanese A5 Waygu was excellent. Cooked exactly as requested and unbelievably tender and flavorful. However, I assume the chef put a lot of work into the tiny diced vegetables on the top and the spoonful of salad on the side. The server didn't describe any of these. Just "here if you Waygu steak." The mashed potatoes were outstanding, as usual. But, at every other Joel Robuchon I have dined at, the potatoes came with a story about mashed potatoes being a passion of Joel Robuchon regarding something simple that could be made outstanding with a little extra effort. (The secret is whisking like crazy and adding a LOT of butter.). In this case, "here are some complimentary mashed potatoes." I had the Chocolate Sensation for dessert. This time it was delivered by a female server, who took the time to describe the various layers and textures. It's probably a better choice for lunch than dinner.

Yelp
We made it back to the counter (Yelp its spelled Comptoir not Compotoir) after a long absence last week. The team has experienced a bit of turnover as they find their footing and the menu continues to evolve compared to its opening in H2 2021. The music is excellent and the DJ they bring in does a great job setting the atmosphere. It is the BEST BREAD BASKET ON THE PLANET. Period. They've added a croissant-like fifth roll to their mustard/bacon, bagette, squid ink brioche and cheesy bread (sorry that sounds so american). I would literally go here for the bread basket. They've replaced the foie gras amuse bouche with some white asparagus, which I get is in season but really the foie gras pot was a little bite of heaven. Please bring it back! The cocktails were really nice--a sidecar, spicy margarita, old fashioned and kir royale among our group. We kept it simple with the asparagus salad, caviar, smoked eel and sea bass carpaccio. The white asparagus isnt advertised as a salad but it is and it is large. Everyone was happy with their starters and the various glasses of wine we paired with them. Three people had the steak and I had the John Dory. Let's just say I won the meal. While the stake was good, the JD was amazing! Again, I'd go back just for that. We finished it off with the Whisky Souffle but oddly we were the last people on this Saturday night to get them as they ran out--still not sure how that happens but I'm sure there is a reason in these weird supply-chain times. I do think the pistachio ice cream actually takes away from the great flavors so if I get it again, I will pass on the ice cream. The souffle really doesnt need it. They still offer you some nice brioche for the morning which our guests thoroughly enjoyed

Yelp
Excellent! We used to frequent his other restaurant, Atelier du Robuchon before it closed. This restaurant is hopping and vibrant. From the moment you walk in you can feel the energy in this upscale, but elegantly casual establishment. The wait staff could not be friendlier and attentive. The music is the punctuation to the vibrancy - almost poppy dance music, but fun. Let's start with the bread. The squid ink brioche is amazing, not only the flavor, but the layering is amazing. The selection of cheeses is more than enough to share for two or possibly three people. The butternut squash and sage risotto was cooked to perfection and had a light flavor. The mini burgers are good, but hard to manage. Their bar b que sauce is spot on. They were a bit greasy. The rum baba was light and the hazelnut chocolate dessert was wonderful.

Yelp
This restaurant was very special. Every server was knowledgeable about the food and descriptively explained what we were eating. A lot of this menu is in French, but there is English too. Before we received our apps we got the Amuse Buche. This is a appetizer served before your ordered foods, the words "Amuse Buche" literally mean it entertains the mouth. Ours was foamy on top with three layers and duck was on the bottom. The bread box came to us. It was accompanied with butter and an assortment of breads. It included the standard baguette, squid laced rolls, cheese baguette and a bread with bacon. We ordered apps. I had the L'OEUF COCOTTE AUX MORILLES or basically slow cooked egg with morel mushrooms. Definitely a new texture and flavor was introduced to me with the slow cooked egg. The morel mushrooms were mild and blended right in. For my main I had the LES CAVATELLI AUX PETITS POISY which is Cavatelli pasta with fresh peas and savory herbs. Although this dish was small it was filling. The treat of our experience was the bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier. The sommelier helped us choose a proper red for our entrées. This sommelier was patient and provided a recommendation within our price point. Overall the food was different and prepared with care and served with care. The name of the game here is customer service and it's top notch. I'd recommend Le Comptoir Robuchon anytime.

Yelp
We have traveled to London twice within the last six months. Robuchon is on the list and a must. The chef stands on his own, unique personal attention, and yes classic Robuchon dishes but with their own identity. We were also impressed with the sommelier who recommended a French white that was not overly costly and left an indelible memory;)

Yelp
One of the best restaurants. Food is delicious and nicely presented. Attentive and knowledgeable staff.

Allison T.

Yelp
Fancy French food at its finest. Can't go wrong with Robuchon restaurants. Food was delicious and the wine options were vast.

Yelp
Sole was a bit tough. Cavier egg was delicious but overpriced. The bread was quite good as was the pasta with mushrooms was good

J D.

Yelp
The restaurant is conveniently located in Mayfair. The interior is stylish and comfortable. We both ordered fish for main course. When I saw the portion of the Dover sole I thought I could never finish the whole fish. But it was so perfectly cooked and tasted silkily tender. The best sole I tried outside of France. Next time I would probably ask them not to debone the fish in front of me as I want to eat the whole! The manager Romano, the wine sommelier Mattia and the team surely did a wonderful job to make sure everyone dining there having a good time! Its solid food quality and attentive service do live up to the Robuchon name.
