We had a lovely room overlooking the garden. The room was spotless and very large. The hosts were lovely & very helpful. The breakfast was delicious, everything was fresh & there was lots of it! ||||The location is in a beautiful, but remote part of Switzerland so if you want somewhere peaceful in the countryside surrounded by beautiful walks & views then this is a fantastic place. ||||We would definitely recommend it and hope to go back one day!

This place is absolutely amazing. It’s in the middle of beautiful old village so you are walking distance to restaurant, but you will also have large fully equipped kitchen so you don’t need to go anywhere. It’s a bright open place with large bath and shower, tastefully furnished and decorated with high quality items. It has a nice terrace with beautiful view. It’s a very peaceful place with fountain and large grass area to play which is great if you have kids. This is a prefect place for family or business professionals if you need to stay somewhere comfortable long term, but it also right fit if you need to recharge somewhere in peace just for weekend. Anna and Francis are such a nice and helpful people, it was a pleasure to get to know them. Than you.

This place is a home away from home. We arrived late and exhausted on a Friday night, in need of a night cap. Arriving in the tiny village, we prepared ourselves for not finding a little cafe to have a drink after a long drive. Le Coq to the rescue! They have a well stocked wine refrigerator with a variety of local wine and beer! Next morning, we went to the warm and cozy kitchen to find an enormously delicious breakfast. Such a treat! Most importantly, the room was spacious, stylishly decorated and really comfortable. The beds are BIG, the bathroom is even better than at home. What else could you want?|Well OK, the room is too hot. It’s true. And we would have preferred one big bed with one big duvet but these are not complaints. It is impossible to get it perfectly right for everyone.

During my businesstrip I have seen many accommodations. But this one is really lovely. A very warm welcome in a beautiful appartment. Room names like Edith Piaf. Wifi is not great, but it works. The road to the hotel is beautiful as well. |The breakfast is nice and made with love from the hostess. |Parking space is available. |Tip for dinner: make a reservation at La Toscana. Completely unexpected you will be surprised by the view on the terrace.

My wife and I took my visiting parents from Australia Lake of Geneva area for a 4 day long weekend. Found this little bed and breakfast online and we were initially attracted due to the very good reviews it received online. We loved this place! It offered us everything we wanted/needed. Located in a beautiful little village St Livres - within easy driving distance to surrounding attractions like Lausanne / Montreux / Morges .... We drove, so no issues getting in and out of St Livres / in case of travel by public transport suggest to contact owners for further info and travel suggestions.||||The rooms were very well presented, airy and comfortable. Lovely little courtyard with good mix of sun / shelter which we ate breakfast in the mornings / or enjoyed an apero in the early evenings. ||||Service was first class - Francois and Anna (together with supporting staff) go out of their way to make you feel welcome and take care of your every need. Anna was always willing to provide restaurant recommendations / and would often dial around to pre book for us in advance which was a nice touch.||||Price for accommodation was reasonable (particularly by Swiss standards). B&B operates an honesty bar fridge, stocked with wines from local area and again, prices are quite reasonable.||||Overall, we were very satisfied - other positive reviews offer a fair representation of the place and we are certainly looking forward to returning.

If I could have put 5 plus, plus I would! We travel a lot but this b&b beats everything! Much better than a hotel. Very warm welcome, spotless room and as for breakfast WOW!!! No wonder others have praised it. Lovely unspoilt and friendly village with fantastic views. As for the staff so friendly, helpful - and efficient! Le Coq Chantant is truly the BEST!!!!! We stayed here for a week and it was magic! We definitely plan to return.

My wife and I have been travelling throughout Western Europe over the last 5 weeks and have experienced fantastic accommodation throughout our travels.......until we came across this property!||Well, what an expensive mistake this was.||Booking made a via website for 3 days without no cancellation allowed.||This is how we were treated upon arrival:||1. We we arrived at 5.10 pm we rung the door bells twice, no one answered.||2. We then phoned the mobile number twice, no one answered.||3. We walked around the back to the court yard and waited and were then greeted by a man who appeared rude and unwelcoming.||4. We were taken into the kitchen area which was stifling in heat. A form was placed down on the table and we got the impression it had to be completed as this man did not speak any English nor try to communicate appropriately with us. An app on a phone is what we used as well as others who tried their best to break down communication barriers while travelling. ||5. This man opened a cupboard and threw provisions down on the table which we presumed were for us.||6. My husband asked to see the room we were staying several times and this was declined.||7. My husband made the decision that if the kitchen was that super hot with fly’s flying around the days dishes then without seeing the room and with the rudeness and unwelcome reception of the man that we would not stay. We felt completely uncomfortable at this property.||8. Finally, the man rang his wife (who spoke English) in order to clarify our position.||We still could not see the room nor get a refund. She kept saying there was no cancellation allowed although the property did not meet our expectations.||9. I explained that my husband had been through cancer treatment and that the room may have been too hot without a fan or air condition for him to stay. There did not seem to be any flexibility, understanding or empathy.||10. Eventually I was shown the room and as expected, there was no adequate cooling or ventilation.||Be aware.... this property is situated in a residential town without any shops or restaurants etc for miles. This is not a boutique hotel as advertised but simply someone’s house with rooms.||My advice is to avoid this property at all costs.

Do not stay here! Terrible welcome to a property that is not what it seems. 1. We we arrived at 5.10 pm we rung the door bells twice, no one answered. 2. We then phoned the mobile number twice, no one answered. 3. We walked around the back to the court yard and waited and were then greeted by a man who appeared rude and unwelcoming. 4. We were taken into the kitchen area which was stifling in heat. Fly’s flying around unwashed dishes from the days feed.A form was placed down on the table and we got the impression it had to be completed as this man did not speak any English nor try to communicate appropriately with us. An app on a phone is what we used as well as others who tried their best to break down communication barriers while travelling. 5. This man opened a cupboard and threw provisions down on the table which we presumed were for us. 6. My husband asked to see the room we were staying several times and this was declined. 7. My husband made the decision that if the kitchen was that hot without seeing the room and with the rudeness and unwelcome reception of the man that we would not stay. We felt completely uncomfortable at your property. 8. We tried communicating with you over the phone and you were most unhelpful. We still could not see the room nor get a refund. You kept saying there was no cancellation allowed although your property did not meet our expectations. 9. I explained that my husband had been through cancer treatment and that the room may have been too hot without a fan or air condition for him to stay. There did not seem to be any flexibility, understanding or empathy. 10. Eventually I was shown the room and there was no adequate cooling or ventilation. 11. We then had to find appropriate accomodation. P?s If you decide to stay here, beware that the town is residential without any shops, pubs or restaurants. You will need a car to drive 30 minutes to busy Lausanne.
