We were very lucky to stumble upon this amazing property. Located in central Apt, France in a structure that was once a convent. Le Couvant did not disappoint! |Our room was more like a suite; very large and very nicely furnished. The breakfast room is beautiful and the Madame running the breakfast room very kind. |Monsieur was very kind and helpful. We were able to stay four nights at La Couvent and I could have stayed longer but we were on a bike trip and had to move on. |Highly recommend Le Couvent to any and all travellers. There a few stairs to negotiate but we’ll worth it!!

A lovely bed and breakfast in a former convent. Ignore some previous reviews: yes, some bedrooms are upstairs but if nuns could climb the stairs, then so can you :) The accommodation is very clean, cozy and relaxing - the decoration is a bit dated but the radio playing 80s songs in the bathroom made up for it :) . The room we stayed in was HUGE (really!). The breakfast (buffet) is okay - fairly basic. Would add eggs to the options. Overall, we loved it. We even extended our stay by a night.

Stumbled across this beautiful gem of a hotel. Stayed 4 nights and wish it could have been longer. Lovely large room, jazz Music in the bathroom, fabelous garden and pool, amazing breakfast and the house cat greating us every morning. What is not to love! Very nice owners. Can highly recommend and hope to be back one day.

We sent an online request to book a room in the Convent in Apt. After having received neither reply nor confirmation, we called them and they promised to get back to us on that day. Nothing happened. So I left another phone message. This one also left unanswered. Customer service: 0 points..... and this even before a booking was made.

My sister and I visited a friend who lives in Apt, and she made an excellent recommendation -- stay at Le Couvent! By week's end, I could fly up and down the stairs, and we had come to love the spacious and elegant room at the top! Lovely modern bathroom, too. Breakfast is excellent with lovely tea, croissants, toast, jams, fresh fruit, and yogurt, and best yet, it is served in the 17th century refectory! A lovely place to stay at a resaonable price, and Apt is a great center for exploration.

I realised I was staying in a chambres d'hotes only on my arrival. We got a hige room with a lot of luxury (one weak point in the midst of a very hot summer: no airco). No lift, but that is not that much of a problem as the stairs are cool (in many ways). Absolutely fabulous swimming pool with lots of places to rest in sun/shade. Very friendly staff.

On our last days of our holiday, we've stayed 3 nights at le Couvent. What a quit place, big rooms. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly hosts. We'll go back when we will stay another time in the Provence. No airco, but we haven't missed it, even it was hot outside

We spent a couple of nights at the couvent and were amazed at our rooms on the top floor -massive. Very comfortable, excellent bathrooms (ours actually had a shower that was big enough for two and equipped with two showers as well). The atmosphere is really good. Again, people have raved here about breakfast, and I suspect once again, during low season the catering is kept to a minimum? All we got was some percolated coffee, choice of teas, regular OJ and some slices of tasteless cheese - couple of jams and bread. Not what I call a satisfying breakfast but then again tastes and expectations might differ. Loved the old confessional in the entrance hallway and indeed the pool would be very inviting in summer I'm sure.
