Le Couvent Hôtel Restaurant

My first impression of Le Couvent was a really good one! I walked in and took a look around, and the establishment was clean, neat, and inviting. I opted to stay in one of the dorms and I was blown away by how crisp and clean everything was, from the white sheets, to the bathroom / shower. The lockers under the beds was genius and the location was perfectly central, with around a 20 minute walk to the Cité Médiévale and a 5 min walk from all amenities in the area. Moreover, the staff were incredible. Each staff member I spoke to were friendly and helpful but in particular, Sarah Chabarthés who was so kind and thoughtful, that I felt safe and well looked after over my 2 day stay. Thank you Le Couvent! I appreciate the attention to detail as a solo traveller. It made my stay in Corcossonne very special. I highly recommend choosing Le Couvent Hostile. It was great value.

Great location, beautiful courtyard and bar area. The staircase provides the medieval vibe to start your carcassonne trip. Sarah was very welcoming and helpful in giving recommendations. As a solo traveller I felt very safe in this town. Would like to come back again. Amy :)

Rooms are great. Modern and clean. It's really lacking a kitchen and lounge area. Even just a fridge and microwave area would be nice! There is a roof top but there's only bar stools . Same with the bar downstairs . There's just bar stools and no sofas to lounge on. There are no bath mats or hand tissues in the bathroom. As some of the other comments said. I found the WiFi quite slow! Other than that it was great

Good location, clean and quiet rooms in an old beautiful building. However, there is no lobby or public space when the downstairs bar is closed. Check-in/reception opens between 3pm and 8pm, so you will need to store luggage elsewhere if arriving early and there is no staff on site at night. But overall I enjoyed the 2 night stay.

Whether you're staying for a while in Carcassonne or just passing by..this place is the ideal way to spend the night.. friendly staff..great atmosphere and overall a very enjoyable stay. It's clean..well maintained and well equipped I recommend it 100%

Very good. Friendly welcome. Excellent location. Beautiful medieval preserved internal staircase. It has a great bar layout and inner courtyard. Basic rooms, but this place is very quirky and trendy and really good vibes. I would definitely stay here again but might take my own pillow and tea making stuff for the room

This was my first trip as a solo travellers ever. It was comfortable and safe. It was in a very good location with easy links to the town and to the train station. It’s a 20 minute walk to the medieval city. Check in process was easy and no issues when checking in just a little later than planned. 10/10 hostel.

Disappointed by Billing Practices and Lack of Accountability While Le Couvent offers a charming stay, my experience was marred by an unjustified charge beyond my actual nights stayed. Despite clear evidence and multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel refused to acknowledge or refund the fraudulent charge. Sadly, the lack of transparency and accountability overshadowed what could have been a pleasant visit. Wish I had read the other reviews more closely—turns out the WiFi is more of a concept than a service, and the walls are so thin I feel like I’ve made new (unwilling) friends. The restaurant prices suggest Michelin-star quality, but the food and service say otherwise. Add in a mystery charge they refused to reverse, and it’s safe to say my wallet and I won’t be returning. In classic French fashion, the staff managed to be charmingly aloof while expertly avoiding any responsibility—truly an art form.
