❤️ An oasis in the city. Staying with a friend nearby and would like to move in here ;-). A great initiative to improve biodiversity and provide a community space. Great for breastfeeding. Sadly didn't make the evening concert but I'll be back X

Le couvent is a truly special place in Marseille. Located in a former convent, it has been transformed into a vibrant space run by the Juxtapoz association, bringing together artist studios of all kinds, from graphic and textile practices to cooking, gardening, and many other disciplines. From around midday, the space opens to the public and becomes a peaceful, green haven in the 3rd arrondissement. The garden is a beautiful place to sit, eat something simple, and take a break from the city. In summer, there are many events such as concerts, music, and cultural activities, which make the atmosphere even more alive and welcoming. The people you meet there clearly value art, creativity, and community. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to discover a deeper, more authentic side of Marseille. It is always a good idea to check their Instagram to see what is happening.

It's a really interesting place. There is place to buy food, beers and play petanque if you want. It's really cozy and alternative. I am not really familiar with all the activitis they have but it seems they have a huge variety of art and concerts.

Confused - a lot of the reviews are from years and years ago which makes me think the place has changed a lot? We went as had it on a list of recommendations and were just confused as to why. It definitely seemed to serve its purpose as a hub and as accommodation for artists but definitely not much more. Wouldn’t recommend as a tourist point

Very nice friendly place where I can relax and feel like away from city... This lace has a beautiful green space where you can lay down and relax This year the food is excellent.. Innovative and the menu changes every day Besides that the artistic values which can be remarked all over the place thanks to all the artists who work there
