Le couvent is a truly special place in Marseille. Located in a former convent, it has been transformed into a vibrant space run by the Juxtapoz association, bringing together artist studios of all kinds, from graphic and textile practices to cooking, gardening, and many other disciplines.
From around midday, the space opens to the public and becomes a peaceful, green haven in the 3rd arrondissement. The garden is a beautiful place to sit, eat something simple, and take a break from the city. In summer, there are many events such as concerts, music, and cultural activities, which make the atmosphere even more alive and welcoming.
The people you meet there clearly value art, creativity, and community. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to discover a deeper, more authentic side of Marseille. It is always a good idea to check their Instagram to see what is happening.
