This was our favorite meal after 2 weeks in Portugal. The food was exceptional- fresh, elevated comfort food. Salmon ceviche is a must, the sauce is divine. They took the time to listen to our preferences then expertly matched our meal to wine, including dessert. We left full and satisfied in the best possible way. Small and cozy place but left such an immense impression. A meal of this quality and attentive service would have cost 3x as much at home in the USA. Make a reservation to ensure a table but we were able to walk in on a Sunday night.

This restaurant provides more than "just food". The staff pays attention to you, making sure you have a great dining experience. Aside from a great conversation, they provide bespoke wine suggestions tailored to your preference in combination with your dishes. The food is amazing! No recommendations, because all dishes were great!

I stumbled in as a solo diner and the owners Hugo and Marina welcomed me in the off season, but don’t take any chances. Make a reservation if you can. The restaurant is warm and cozy, but the outside seating is so nice as well. First off, I love how allergens are listed clearly on the menu, so I knew exactly what was gluten free. I tried a Portuguese salad, the salmon ceviche, the Ossobuco, and the best cheese cake of my life. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The plates are meant for sharing, so bring a friend or more. Be sure to ask Hugo what wine he recommends based on your likes and the food you’ve chosen. I feel like I have two new friends in Carvoiero. Thanks for a great evening!

A genuinely special place. You can see how much love, care and passion goes into the menu here and the wine knowledge is unmatched. I love that they only serve Portuguese wines. I had one of the best meals I’ve had in recent times so a big thank you to the kitchen (get the almond cake).

Wow!! We had such a great experience at Le Cro. The owners are so friendly and helpful. They really help guide your experience by suggesting the wines and plates. As well as a fantastic culinary experience, it is also a fun learning experience about the history of wine in Portugal. Fresh food, quiet yet adorable ambiance, this spot has everything to charm you. A true fine dining experience served up by the most passionate and loveliest of people. Best food we had in as long as we can remember. Just book a table, you wont regret it 🤤 I didnt take pictures of all the dishes because we ate them. You'll have to order them yourselves.

I made a last-minute reservation and was kindly offered a table. The restaurant was almost fully seated when I arrived. This is clearly the most popular place in town! Marina and Hugo greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, instantly making us feel at home. The food exceeded all expectations. The hummus alone deserves a Michelin star. From the carefully curated wine pairing to the thoughtful introduction of each dish, every detail was impeccable. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the service were all perfect. I'd definitely come to Carvoeiro again just for this restaurant. Thank you so much Marina and Hugo for such an unforgettable experience :)
