Wow!! We had such a great experience at Le Cro. The owners are so friendly and helpful. They really help guide your experience by suggesting the wines and plates. As well as a fantastic culinary experience, it is also a fun learning experience about the history of wine in Portugal. Fresh food, quiet yet adorable ambiance, this spot has everything to charm you. I highly recommend!! 🫶🏽

A true fine dining experience served up by the most passionate and loveliest of people. Best food we had in as long as we can remember. Just book a table, you wont regret it 🤤 I didnt take pictures of all the dishes because we ate them. You'll have to order them yourselves.

I made a last-minute reservation and was kindly offered a table. The restaurant was almost fully seated when I arrived. This is clearly the most popular place in town! Marina and Hugo greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, instantly making us feel at home. The food exceeded all expectations. The hummus alone deserves a Michelin star. From the carefully curated wine pairing to the thoughtful introduction of each dish, every detail was impeccable. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the service were all perfect. I'd definitely come to Carvoeiro again just for this restaurant. Thank you so much Marina and Hugo for such an unforgettable experience :)

Dining at Le Cro was an unforgettable experience. This Portuguese tapas restaurant goes far beyond excellent service— Marina and Hugo make you feel as if you are dining in their home. Each table is given full attention, with plenty of space around you, creating an intimate and calm atmosphere. The hosts radiate warmth and genuine care, which sets the tone for the evening. Every dish is a true flavor journey: versatile, creative, and full of surprising taste explosions. Their deep knowledge of food pairing is evident in every bite, and the carefully selected wines—sourced from premium local wineries—are simply outstanding. Le Cro is not just a place to eat; it’s a place to experience. If you are looking for an evening where your taste buds are delighted and you feel completely looked after, this is the place to be.

The best dinner you'll have in Carvoeiro, hands down. A deeply personal service, that is run by a charming couple, Hugo and Marina. When you taste the food and wine pairing, you would believe that it was destined that they met for the soul purpose to deliver the meal in front of you. It, by any standards is one of the nicest meals you will enjoy anywhere in the world (and yes I’m comparing this to my experiences of spending £150+ on meals in New York, Paris, Tokyo, London, Hong Kong etc etc). Truly wonderful. It was so good, we went back the next night for dinner again to try the rest of the menu.

Just got back from our evening at Le Cro, and we were just delighted!!!!!! Went their with my partner after seeing the great reviews and found out they were not wrong :). We booked over text with Marina, who along with her husband Hugo runs their restaurant, and it was so easy relaxed and welcome. Sort of felt like we knew they already heading their and we were comfortable from the get go. Marina and Hugo were fantastic and so friendly. The menu was amazing - so many delicious options for tapas and no pressure to order whatever. Hugo advised on the wine and Marina the food. It sort of felt like michelin style service with all the advice as Hugo picked a wine just for our taste and Marina knocked it out of the park when she convinced us to add port to our trio desert to clean the palette between each and taste the most. 10/10, one must go.

Too often I find that “creative” chefs focus on being different for the sake of it, with results that are more unusual than enjoyable. This restaurant is the exact opposite: the chef clearly has a real feel for ingredients and how to bring out the best in them. The flavor combinations weren’t just unique—they were absolutely delicious. We shared seven dishes, and every one of them was superb: a rich pork ragù, perfectly braised ossobuco, sardine bruschetta that elevated a humble classic, a bright Algarve salad, a soft cheese and fruit pairing, and even the hummus—something so simple—was crafted with care and full of flavor. Each plate was balanced, thoughtful, and memorable. The proprietors could not have been warmer or more welcoming. Their genuine hospitality made the meal feel personal, as if we were guests in their home. A truly standout experience—excellent food, authentic charm, and people who clearly love what they do. Highly recommended.
