This was a wonderful resort/hotel. The pool was beautiful! Our room was amazing! We came during rainy season so we had a few days of rain. The workers are outstanding and go out on f their way to make your stay great. The grounds are kept up to tip top shape.|The food was good and service was top notch!|Thank y’all

Spent four nights at Le Domaine Orangerie and had a lovely time. The location is great and Le Digue is stunning. Love the entire Island vibe of Le Digue. The hotel is separated by a road but don’t let that put you off it just means people are cycling past - hardly any vehicles. |My only criticism is communication. I had emailed ahead of time to say it was our 40th wedding anniversary and they asked me to prove it by emailing wedding certificate which I did. I then got a confirmation that I was on the ‘anniversary package’ which included fizz and snacks on room on arrival and 10% off spa treatments. |In arrival no fizz - just message on bed saying happy anniversary. I could cope with that but when I tried to book spa treatments with reception they asked to see all the emails I had been sent and seemed not to know that an ‘ anniversary package’ existed. After phone calls it was all confirmed but I felt like I was asking for something I wasn’t entitled to. |On the last but one day I mentioned to reception that we had never received the bottle of fizz and she said she would sort it- never happened. |It’s a small thing but just made to feel a bit daft for asking - don’t offer these things if you can’t follow up with the goods. |Shout out to Elvin who tirelessly took us up the hill in the buggy to our room he was always smiling and a delight and Audrey in the restaurant - lovely girl. |Despite hiccups would return had a great time.

An experienced beyond fantastic. Superb service, nice surroundings and awesome food. The rooms are excellent, we stayed at the garden villa. Christmas dinner buffet with king crab, oysters and whole grilled piglets. Really nice wine list.

We loved our stay at Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie - the staff are welcoming and attentive, the hotel rooms so beautiful and luxurious. The restaurants and pool have a sea front view, wonderful for relaxing and taking in your surroundings. We would thoroughly recommend staying here for a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing time.

⭐ 1/5 Extremely disappointing for a so-called 5-star resort! We booked this hotel for our honeymoon, expecting luxury and relaxation. Instead, it turned into a nightmare. 1. Mosquito Infestation: Our superior suite was full of mosquitos, which kept coming in due to a poorly sealed door. The hotel offered us a downgrade to a lower-category room without an outdoor bathroom, but refused to refund the price difference. They only sprayed mosquito repellent after we insisted, and mosquito nets were only available in even pricier rooms (+€200/night). 2. Faulty Balcony Door & Ridiculous Response from Maintenance: The balcony door was so old and broken that we got trapped outside! Without our phones, it took a massive effort to free ourselves. When maintenance finally arrived over an hour later, I pointed out that the door wasn’t tight enough and insects were coming inside. Their response? “It’s normal that doors don’t close tightly.” When I looked at him in disbelief and said, “Excuse me?”, he replied that nowhere in the world do doors close properly and that it’s normal for insects and wind to come inside. As someone who lives in Germany and has traveled extensively, I can assure you this is not normal. 3. Cockroach Horror: The worst experience was being woken up in the middle of the night by a huge cockroach that crawled over my face. It was so fast and disappeared through a gap in the wall, leaving me unable to sleep. For a supposed 5-star hotel, the cleanliness was appalling. While the food was decent, the overall experience was beyond unacceptable. Management made no effort to apologize or compensate for the horrible stay. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone—especially not for a special occasion like a honeymoon. Avoid at all costs and save your money!

The hotel was up to our expectations for the price we paid. It’s very luxurious, very pretty, and nicely located. The bathroom in the suite of charm was a highlight. One thing to note is that lots of dogs are barking in the evening, so we struggled with sleeping well while there. Also the transfer from the ferry was quite unorganised, so we just walked and it took about 5-7 minutes. The food was good and for the most part the hospitality and accommodation were quality. Not many options on La Digue, so we would likely come back.

We had our Wedding on La Digue and stayed in this hotel. The team is extremely friendly. From the reception, drivers, waiters, gardeners, room service to everybody involved. Definitely a place to be on La Digue. The food is amazing. Special thanks to Suresh and the other waiters for taking so kind care of us. Thanks to the management and the whole team for giving us such a special time. We will be back again.

We loved our stay at La Digue, especially for the pool (and pool bar), great rooms and beds, and the great food and service. The Rock Spa is outstanding with its view over the island. Highly recommend.
