My husband and I had a wonderful weekend in these apartments. The location was easy to find. The apartment turned out to be very clean and cozy. We were given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a pleasant bonus. The cleaning service was excellent, and drinking water was provided. The apartment is located right in the heart of the city, overlooking the English Embankment. From the balcony, we could see the sea and a street with restaurants. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again.

We loved our stay at Le Dortoir! The room is clean, bed is exceptionally comfortable and the area is impeccable. You won’t find a better area. Yes there are about 3-4 flights of stairs up to the room but the staff help load luggages up and down. The stairs provide a nice workout to help with all that you eat on vacation. The room has a really modern but classic feel with a beautiful large patio. Thanks to the awesome staff and great experience!

First the good: - Terrific location close to shops and public transport - Very nicely furnished rooms, everything was gorgeous and felt new - We really appreciate the free room upgrade! Thank you! Unfortunately, our stay ended on a rather sour note due to a prevalent smell of sewage water coming from the shower drain and toilet. We stayed for around 5 nights, and this issue abruptly started in the final 2 nights. It felt even worse because we reported it twice (on both mornings) and nothing was done about it. Imagine falling asleep to the smell of sewage, and also waking up to the fresh smell of sewage— it's a really bad feeling. The reception staff were all really friendly and helped us carry our luggage up the stairs! It was only the lack of response to the sewage smell that made us disappointed. As an additional nitpick: room service also forgot to change our towels and replace the tea/coffee on the final day; they did make the bed and give us new bottles of water, but somehow forgot the other items. Hoping the smell has been fixed by now, because everything else was lovely. Thanks for having us!

Service and staff were not good at all. We didn’t have shower gel in our bathroom and informed the girl (blonde hair) at the reception. And there was still no shower gel when we came back to the room!!! The same receptionist was also rude. The reception is also mostly closed, with no staff present at the hotel. It seemed more like an Airbnb than a boutique hotel. Their website gives a very different feel, it is kind of deceptive! I liked their hammam though and therefore 2 stars, but that’s the only thing I liked there. Other than that it was really below average for its price.

Clean and perfectly petite interior (they have bigger rooms but we opted for the smaller one, which sufficed!), amazing location (close to the beach, in a beautiful part of town surrounded by pretty bistros and shops, 10 minute walk to the train station), friendly staff! Heads up - they don’t have any lifts but the lovely man at reception was quick to help us carry suitcases on our first day, and on the bright side, we felt like locals from walking up and down! Would highly recommend this beautiful stay!

Perfect little boutique hotel room in Nice. The room was spacious and so well done. The location cannot be beat. It had an Airbnb feeling while still having the luxury of everyday housekeeping and a nice hotel staff onsite to help with things.

The location is perfect, many sightseeing places are within walking distance. There is tramway station right next door. Le Dortoir is very quiet despite its proximity to the city center. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bedding is comfortable. All staff members are particularly kind and helpful. I was delighted with my stay at this place in Nice.

We’ve just had a 4 night stay here. Our room, which was one of the smaller ones, was on the 3rd floor and was beautiful. Everything was really nicely done and very modern, and felt new. There were two windows which we could open if we wanted, as well as good a/c, little fridge to store items and safe. It was quiet. Our bed was made and towels changed daily. The street on which it’s located is one of the nicer ones in Nice, and the main sights are all within walking distance. We loved staying here. The room was very minimalist to maximise use of space, though there was cabinetry and a chair. Our only suggestion would be that it would be helpful to add a few hooks for towels and perhaps a rail on the wall to hang longer clothes (though probably not a problem with larger rooms). We were able to leave our luggage there securely after the checkout time to spend more time in the city before leaving. Something to be mindful is that there is no lift, however the staff kindly helped us bring up and take down our luggage. I would recommend staying here.
