We had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The food, drinks, and dessert were all absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was great. A huge thank to our waiter, Kamal, who looked after us so well—super attentive, professional, and really friendly. He made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and amazing service!🤩

My friends and I visited this delicious and beautiful restaurant. We were served by Damien, who was fabulous and attentive. My friend and I had the vegan option and another friend had the chicken, and all was delicious. The atmosphere is so beautiful, I would love to come back.

Absolutely loved our visit - our genius hotel failed to book and they found a table swiftly - food was fantastic- some of the best we had on the island and at a fraction of resort price. Elizabeth our waitress was brilliant and looked after us very well. Had the Emotion rum which came with these amazing little chocolate things, this and dessert had me greed eating by the end. Wish we’d discovered this place sooner!

An excellent restaurant. The venison curry and chicken salad both were full of Mauritius flavours. We were too full to eat dessert, but they did look good (and large) And great service from our waitress Elisabeth.

Food was amazing and beautifully presented. We loved the desserts more especially the icecream served with the crème brulée. Menu is concise and no possibility to customize dishes as advised by waiters. Nice setting and spacious seating area. Been there twice and can say that quality of food served and service level were consistent and great.

Probably the best place on the island I have eaten. Plenty of Mauritian classic dishes plus modern dishes. Always presented very well. Lovely cocktails. For the price, the value is incredible. Cannot fault this place. The grounds and environment of the dining space is really beautiful with plenty of wildlife to watch.

The first time we visited Le Fangourin restaurant, it was closed for a private event. Hungry and disappointed, we had to find another place to have our lunch. (But in a happy turn of events, we got to try Mauritian seafood at another place; details in the review of L’Ocean.) But we were lucky the second time, and we ended up having one of our best fine dining experiences in Mauritius! This charming, sunlit restaurant sits on a lawn next to L'Aventure du Sucre museum. The chirps of mynas, sparrows and bulbuls that hop around (and sometimes even venture to watch us from a nearby chair!) made the dining experience peaceful and pleasant. Helping us make our food choices was Ms Elisabeth with a warm and open smile. We loved every dish and every drink she suggested for us! Among them, the Tropical Lazy Dodo is a must-try; the Jackfruit and vegetable of the day Cannelloni, exceptional; and the Crème brulée, light, but delectable. Initially Ms Elisabeth suggested a Dark chocolate cake for us as dessert. A minute later she came back with a question – she remembered that we already had the cake, albeit a smaller portion, that came with the Rhum emotion we had ordered earlier. She wanted to know whether we wanted to change our dessert order, because we had told her before that we wanted to try as many different kinds of dishes as possible! What a sweet and thoughtful person… Such interactions with the lovely people of Mauritius made our vacation even fonder!

Food was very good, Service great even if you're a Mauritian, not tourist. The Moelleux au chocolat was delicious. Portions are good if you're not a heavy eater and it leaves place for dessert.
