stop - don't go any further. At restaurant Le Floure en L’lle you get the best ice cream in the world. In addition, the restaurant has excellent, well-prepared food. This place is at the top of my list of favorite places to eat in Paris. On the nearby bridge, there is often nice live music. This is the prototype of Paris. Love IT. When we visited this time we had a light lunch consisting of goat cheese salad and an omelet. Wow, this was wonderful - fresh, delicious and inviting. We got super good, friendly service - and on the sunny spring day the atmosphere was great.

Sat down here for a cup of afternoon coffee and crepes. Prices are quite high as it is afternoon in the more touristy part of town but it does have a nice view of Notre-Dame which is still under restoration. Coffee is good and the crepe is quite average. Good place to get a scoop of Berthillon ice-cream if the main store is closed.

This is my favorite everyday French cuisine restaurant in Paris. I love getting to sit outside in the shade below the trees and people watch by the seine. I absolutely love the duck confit and come back for it again and again.

Google
Expensive for an afternoon café or dessert but the view to the Notre Dame de Paris was worth it! 😅 I had the crêpe de flore (2 crepes with chocolate syrup, vanilla ice cream and chantilly) and an espresso. The crepe was delicious and of course, the Berthillon ice cream was fantastic! The waiters were super nice and we got seated quickly for a sunday afternoon.

I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures but this place is very good. The outdoor seating was very nice and available. This seemed to be a favorite local spot. We had beef bourguignon, spinach quiche, roasted duck and a cheese burger. All of the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were fair, staff was friendly and dress was casual.

Dont dine in here if you dont like crowded places. I think they could have removed 25% of the tables to provide a bit more of free space for guests. Meal was fine, likewise the service. If you are ok with tiny tables and bistro like feeling with a busy atmosphere, you wont have a problem with it

Google
Best ice cream I've had in my life!! The staff was really nice, even though we were thinking for a long time she was patient and very kind. Next to us there was a lovely older man playing a barrel organ, who made the experience truly unforgettable.

Good choice for lunch. Good service. Try the mini raviollis. Closet to Notre dame.

Yelp
While in France! NOT far from the Notre dame Cathedral lies a few Quant little corner restaurants. We just landed a few hours ago so we decided and a few little morsels. Hey why not. The salad is amazing as it gives you a nice taste of goat cheese that sits on a bed of salad greens and green beans with a nice vinaigrette.. but I add of course my olive oil and balsamic to add some spice. Not to be confused with a high end restaurant, this knew promised a good menu st an affordable price. I was pleased and very content. Why not right? Enjoy your foods in Paris and just take a chance qhen it comes to tasting varieties of foods. I know for me, it being my second time here- I still wanted to try yet new flavors and I did. Experience this spot with an open mind and just taste something you would never try. I do enjoy a good sit down either outside or inside spot.

Yelp
Hungry after a long day of site seeing during Winter? This spot has heaters and a place for you to sit and eat outside if you are looking for something kinda socially distanced. Trying to not get Covid at the beginning of our trip we are opting for outdoor option- maybe not ideal during December in Paris, but better safe than sorry! During a winter evening we didn't have much company outdoors at this cafe near Notre Dame. Food was good, expensive (by a Midwestern middle class perspective) but not surprising for the touristy area, if you are in Paris just make sure you plan for a generous food budget - both for the costs but also so you can sample all the French tastes!

Yelp
Very nice service and a great people watching spot. I didn't try *real* food on either of my visits. But do highly recommend picking something off their extensive sundae menu!!

Yelp
Great spot for a quick dessert outdoors. The best Gelato. Try a unique flavor like red currant.

Scoot M.

Yelp
The 30 euro Caesar salad was very poor. Fishy in a spoiled way, not due to the utilization of anchovies in the dressing, rendering the dish inedible. The St. Germaine spritz was 85% water, similar to some other reviews in regards to the Aperol Spritz. Regrettably we read those reviews after ordering. Don't let other reviews fool you! The good reviews are for the gelato ONLY!! This brings up the average considerably.

Yelp
I came here a total of 4 times during my month long stay, I rented an apartment on Ile Saint-Louis which made this cafe super convenient location for a quick lunch, dinner, or last stop for a nightcap. The good: Saint Germaine Spritz was my go-to drink. They serve the famous Berthillon ice cream - it was as good as everyone raves. Nice location next to the Seine River Typical Parisian style cafe with outdoor seating Giant tree that provides ample amount of shade. Known as one of the places that Emily in Paris takes place. They speak English The bad: This place does get crowded during the evenings and because it's so busy the service was a hit or miss. Food was decent but nothing spectacular - for the prices you're paying you can go somewhere with better food. Overall, I'd come back but only for drinks and ice cream.

Yelp
Dined on Aug 20, 2019, with a reservation. The location is perfect, on Ile Sainte-Louis, near the Notre Dame. This time I choose to stay in the relatively quiet Ile Sainte-Louis, and Le Flore en l'Ile is convenient. Arrived about 10 minutes before my reservation time, greeted cordially by a staff member who actually became my server. Seated outside, very pleasant, and tables are not tightly squeezed. The server brought me another chair to put my bag on it. I opted for the €21,9 entree+plat menu. Ravioles de Royans was creamy. Main course was bavette d'aloyau with bearnaise sauce, pomme frites and mixed greens. Steak was tender and flavored. Everything hit the spot. Service was friendly and attentive. As usual, they never rush you over your meal in France. I was left on my leisure to enjoy the view and read my book. The sun began to fade but it was very pleasant and mild around 7:30pm. They serve Berthillon ice cream so I had dish of three to conclude a delightful first evening in Paris. At first I was skeptical about the restaurant being a tourist trap, but it delivers, both in food and in service!

Yelp
An early morning of touring Notre Dame Cathedral led us to this lovely cafe for breakfast. It is conveniently located just across the bridge from the cathedral with awesome views of both the Seine river and the cathedral. The restaurant was just opening so we managed to snag a supreme table with the best views possible. My husband and I shared a mushroom/cheese omelet along with a tasty hot chocolate. The service was good and we were in and out pretty quickly. They also offered Berthillion ice cream which is supposed to be amazing but we weren't really ready for ice cream at 8:30 in the morning. Next time we are here, we will try for sure!

Yelp
So I've never eaten at this café, although it's fairly popular (at all hours of the day and into the night) and this review is entirely based on my several visits here for Berthillon ice cream. Every time I go here, it's after midnight and there is always people in line for ice cream. I've been to the other Berthillon location on Ile Saint Louis and the scoop sizes there are much smaller. The price for a single scoop is €3,50, €6,50 for a double, and €9,00 for a triple scoop. Berthillon offers many great flavors or ice cream and sorbets, ranging from decadent to refreshing, like caramel beurre salé (salted butter caramel), praliné aux pignons (praline with pine nuts) and cerise (cherry). My personal favorites are pistache (pistachio; very rich and nutty flavor) and cassis (blackcurrant; tart, yet sweet). Berthillon makes the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had (and I've been to many across the continent)!! It's so creamy and has actual pistachio bits in them which add to its heavenly rich flavor. The caramel beurre salé is also very tasty (very creamy and indulgent, perfect for those who have a sweet tooth). Their waffle cones are pretty good too, not that crappy, cardboard kind that you sometimes see at American ice creams shops, but legitimate crunchy ones. So I definitely recommend trying out Berthillon ice cream if you're in Paris, particularly this one! By the way, the location is gorgeous! After getting your cup or cone of ice cream, you can enjoy it along the Seine, (right across the street), glowing from the city lights, with views of Notre Dame! At night, you can enjoy the cool breeze and quiet streets and the view must be pretty great in the morning too with people bustling about.

Yelp
This isn't a bad little spot if you've been out walking all day and need a quick bite to eat or some ice cream. Apparently the ice cream is unquie to the island and can't be purchased anywhere else. I don't know if that's true or not but we had a few scoops and it wasn't bad. The service was okay and my meal (quiche) wasn't bad...it wasn't the best I've ever had but it wasn't bad. Our waiter spoke good english and was very attentive to our needs.
google avatar

Elaine T.

Yelp
My friend had never been to Paris, so we had to order a quintessential French dish; a ham quiche with salad. She declared it the lightest tastiest quiche she had ever tasted, and loved the simple vinaigrette on the salad. It was a very generous portion and we split it since we just wanted a snack, not dinner. We came to the island for her to taste Berthillon ice cream, so she got 2 scoops with a caramel sauce, a tuile almond crisp, and whipped cream. This dessert cost 12€ ($16 US), which was more than our quiche, but she declared it was worth every Euro. Since this is a prime location, prices will be higher than places tucked away on a side street, but remember that you can sit all day for the price you pay and some people looked like they had spent the entire afternoon sipping their wine or coffee.

Yelp
This place is okay. They're known for their ice cream which is what we got. It's just ice cream. Nothing special. And for the price, I don't think it's worth it. Maybe just take a picture of the outside

Yelp
It's alright I don't like steak it's taste alright and make sure don't order too much they don't do leftovers to take home

Yelp
A nice setting, a pleasant waiter and 3 tasty platefuls promptly served up...all ruined by the floor manager's bolshy answers when I enquired whether our desserts, ordered maybe 20 minutes earlier, had been forgotten. Me: "You see, I fear we'll miss our appointment"...his response: "You should have thought of that earlier".

Yelp
Convenient place to try Berthillion ice cream when the main Berthillion shop is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Can't comment on the food on the menu as we only got ice cream to go and continued our walk. The lime (citronvert) and strawberry sorbets I ordered were intensely fruity and delicious! My friend's pistachio ice cream was also great, nutty and creamy. Great addition to a sunny and beautiful walk down the river. It is a little pricey , at over 3 euro for a single scoop.

Yelp
I was recommended this place by a good friend who had many a trip to Paris in years prior. I went on a whim, to take a break from sight seeing, and walked over the bridge from Notre Dame to find this place right at the end of the bridge. Typical sidewalk cafe seating outside, although not as cramped as other places, and a lovely view ahead! I can't remember what entree I ordered, it was midday but I wanted to make sure I tried something authentic, a house special even, so I went for a heavy meal. I will post a picture for sure. Food was very good, service was even better, and there is some kind of gelato place connected to this cafe but I ventured around Ile Saint Louis and had gelato elsewhere (also very good-in my profile pic!).

Nancy M.

Yelp
I accidentally came to this place thinking it was a different restuarant. And I should have walked out knowing it was not the best omelet I was looking for. First off, I went to the restroom and back, and saw the food set on the table before I was even seated. This action was unprofessional. Never serve the food before if the customer is not seated. Horrible! Second, the omelet was nothing special, and the green beans seemed to be a day old and dry. The service did not meet quality standards.

Yelp
It's going to have one of the better view of Ile de la Cite from Ile St Louis...but with that comes a 4€ espresso for that view. Had some amazing looking pastries that I will give a try the next time I stop by. Remember whenever you want to complain about prices ask yourself first what is the rent they pay - and when you're the island just off the only other island in the Seine in Paris...it's going to be a heck of a lot.
google avatar

Yelp
If you find yourself near Notre Dame Cathedral and are needing an espresso, vin chaud, gourmet hot chocolate - or are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, Le Flore en L'ile is the place for you. I hopped in with friends and family after walking around Paris and decided to try the Gourmet Hot Chocolate. It is easy to get carried away when writing reviews about Paris restaurants - especially when it comes to desserts, but this was incredible. Served with hot milk and a side of molten gourmet chocolate along with chocolate cake. truffle, and a macaron. Decadent is not the word. Do yourself a favor and try it out. Not cheap (12 euro!!!) but worth every penny from a flavor and ambient standpoint.
google avatar

Andi X.

Yelp
Quite nice interior and a view on Notre Dame's backside. We had two Earl Grey's in coffee cups, € 7.50 each. Too pricey and a bit too lazy.
google avatar

Elvira V.

Yelp
Expensive tea (€6,40!) not very quick service and not very friendly... But from the terrace great view to the back side of the Notre Dame. Terrace is also heated so even at end of December is good to stay outside and enjoy the view.

Yelp
This is a review from my recent vacation in Europe during the month of September. It took me a bit to find this restaurant on Yelp. We ended up on Ile Saint Louis looking for another restaurant that we discovered was closed. We ended up wandering the streets of Ile Saint Louis on a cold rainy Wednesday trying to find a restaurant that would accommodate us. We were traveling with a small child and had a stroller. It was amazing the number of restaurants in this area that would rude and would not allow us to enter the establishment (even the patio). I understand not wanting to have other diners upset by a loud child but at most of these places, the covered patios were empty. We ended up at Le Flore en L'Isle and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They were charming and engaging, and didn't mind that we had a child with us. The cappuccinos warmed us on this cold day. I had the salmon and it was very good, and cooked perfectly. Oh, and I started with the French onion soup which was tasty as well. It was perfect on a cold, rainy day. I would say that this was absolutely the friendliest place we visited our five days in France. It was very welcome and refreshing. We ended up on the patio and we remained dry and comfortable during our meal. I would go back to Le Flore if I returned to Paris.
google avatar

Tace S.

Yelp
The food was only ok and the worst service we had while in Paris. Our waiter was offensively rude. Wouldn't go back especially with kids
google avatar

Corinne R.

Yelp
Le Flore en L'Isle was recommended to us by a local friend a few years ago for their yummy ice cream. On our honeymoon, we made sure to stop by, have a glass of champagne and crepes. Our waiter was patient and sweet. This nice old man took our photo and really added to our experience here. Fast forward 2 years later and here we are again. We love this place. It's great for people watching and taking your time. Yeah it's expensive, but what isn't in Paris? Our waiter again was fabulous and we were lucky to avoid the ice cream line (it was 3pm) as it was probably around 30 deep. It's really that good. Le Flore en L'Isle will always be on our list of places to visit every time we go to Paris, even if it's just to get an ice cream and sit by the river enjoying it.

Jay V.

Yelp
Ahhhhhhh!!!! Cafe, croissant, Seine, Notre Dame on Isle St. Louis. Yep, that says it all.

James H.

Yelp
Unscrupulous place. They gave us Evian water which we did not ask for. I brought this to the attention of the management but they did not care that the waiter was unscrupulous. Nice location with a pretty view. Average food. I would avoid this restaurant.

Brad M.

Yelp
Quintessential French Bistro with amazing views of Montmartre. One of our best meals in Paris
google avatar

Miki H.

Yelp
Location, location, location. Great location, bad service, way to crowded but the food is good, the ice cream as well (it's Berthillon, they can't go wrong). I love the fact that they serve their coffee with very good truffles for a decent price.
google avatar

Janet H.

Yelp
5 stars for the ice cream - Berthillon and views and ambience - 5 stars for the price too - extremely pricey - 12 euros for 2 scoops of ice-cream plus fresh cream!! go figure
google avatar

William D.

Yelp
Came here with my wife, she had the pepper steak, I had the Osso Bucco. Let me tell you that I have been in Paris many times and have been in many restaurants, good, intermediate and very good restaurants. This is supposed to be a good restaurant according to many reviews, but I had the worst experience ever. My Osso Bucco was 85% bone, 10% sauce, and merely 5% meat. Horrible after spending over $109 Euros. Don't go there if you can help it.

Claire W.

Yelp
Sat outside here this evening (July 16) and enjoyed a beautiful view and tasty dinner. HOWEVER, this was ruined when the waiter (table 209/vend 5/ check #153744) brought over the bill and said "Service is included but not the tip." I asked for clarification since I've found that all restaurants include tips for waiters in their prices, thus the "service compris" or "prix nets" words on the bill. He simply repeated the same words. Not knowing what to do, we left an American size tip (10 Euros on a 51.50 Euro bill. After speaking to our French friend, it turns out this is outrageous and simply not done. No waiter should ever ask for a tip since their tip is included. He wanted even more apparently. My French friend said he has never left a tip for a French waiter in his life. Be warned!!!!! The owner of this place should know what is happening here.

Clarance B.

Yelp
I have known this place for a while and used to be very fond of it. Much less so now. The waiters are very nice (even more so by Parisian standards) and the location is great as you face Notre Dame. That being said, the food was very disappointing : I had duck confit that was too greasy on the outside and too dry on the inside. I recommend just having coffee, an ice cream or a glass of wine. And only stop there when the weather is nice as today was freezing and the restaurant wasn't heated. When we asked the staff, they didn't know what to answer which I suspect is simply because the new owners of the place are trying to save a couple of bucks.

William L.

Yelp
Ordered cheese omelette that came with frites. Never supplied the frites because they were "not ready". We asked if there could be an adjustment to the price. They gave us a very rude "NO". Rude service. All four meals were very average. Will never go back.

Doug L.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch, thinking it was directly affiliated with Berthillon (they just serve the brand of ice cream, at almost 10 euros for two small scoops). The waitress was great. Grilled fish was good, but one corner was not cooked. Potato salad with saucisson was good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately it contained small pistachio nuts which were not mentioned on the menu, causing an allergic reaction in my son. When I mentioned to the manager that nuts should be listed on the menu, he asked (rather irritably) whether we had announced that sometime had allergies, and accepted no responsibility at all. Americans with allergies should understand that in France this is common - the responsibility is completely on the customer, as the restaurant is unlikely to feel responsible for informing customers about ingredients. This guy was unusually aggressive, though. Usually people are at least pleasant about it.
