Le Florentin Hôtel - Restaurant

Modern, stylish and spotless hotel! My family and I had an unexpected stay at Le Florentine last week after our car broke down on route to the Netherlands. The staff accomodated us and our dog even though we called at 4pm in the afternoon, they were able to supply room and breakfast last minute. Thankyou to the staff at this lovely hotel we can't thankyou enough and everything was perfect.

Immaculate modern hotel with .excellent air conditioning in this extreme heat. Amazing adjacent restaurant that we could not rate highly enough with lovely terrace. Recommend the lobster.

What a lovely family run hotel - the young lady at reception was so welcoming and helpful - our room had a terrace overlooking the attractive manicured rear gardens - parking is 100% secure, so no worries for motorcyclists - spotlessly clean, luxury bedding, just a smashing place to stay !

We’ve been staying two nights in the Suite. The room is just perfect. Large, comfy, very good bedding. Large bathroom and a private balcony if weather is good.||Everything is great at the Florentin, from the warm welcome from the owner and the receptionist to the amazing dinner served at the Florentin restaurant. The lobster with wild mushroom was just to die for…||And breakfast is really good too with homemade pie and lots of local cold meat and cheeses.||We will definitely come back!

Clean, spacious and well designed rooms with a great and powerful shower. Secured parking next to the hotel. A few less positive things I’d like to point out: - Parents, beware when booking this hotel. The light in the room’s hallway turns on with movement and cannot be turned off. If you move in the room when your child is sleeping (e.g. to go to the bathroom), the room will be full of light all of a sudden, waking others up. We mentioned this at the reception desk, but nothing they can do. - We felt the hotel was quite pushy with their restaurant: we got asked four times (two e-mails, one phone call and again at the reception desk) whether we wanted a reservation. - Apparently the hotel bar is only meant for people who are waiting for their restaurant table. When we were the only ones left in the bar around 20.45 o’clock, the bar tender told the pianist she could stop playing, then left himself, turning off the lights in the adjacent areas.

Fantastic restaurant and hotel. The hotel is without a doubt great, we will come back without hesitation. The restaurant was superb, food, drinks and especially service. As a former waiter I have high expectations that the wait staff keep an eye on their customers and communicate with each other to ensure great service, that’s exactly what we experienced 2 nights in a row. Comfortable rooms in a very well located hotel with friendly reception and staff. The 3 stars are for the unpleasant experience we had at the restaurant. With a restaurant of notable caliber, it was quite a surprise for us that they didn’t have menus in any language other than French. When we requested for English or Dutch menu, the waiter disappeared after letting us know that only French menus were available - leaving us guessing on what to expect. This on top of being seated on a table pretty much in the way of everyone passing by - despite us being one of the first ones at the restaurant - was not an evening we were expecting or wanted. An easy smile and some communication would have gone a long way in creating a favourable impression. Unfortunately, the experience at the restaurant was a complete opposite to what we have seen or gone through in good (including Michelin starred) restaurants in Belgium and numerous other countries. We therefore, decided to find our dinner elsewhere.

the mussels and the pomme frites were great as was the seafood salad the restaurant is classy and the service very good everything was fresh fresh fresh we hope to be back!!
