I ordered the wagyu beef burger along with a poutine, and honestly, the experience was pretty underwhelming. For the price, I expected much more. The burger itself was dry and lacked the rich, juicy flavor you’d hope for when ordering wagyu. It felt overpriced for what was served, especially considering the quality didn’t match the cost. The poutine was decent at first, but overall nothing memorable enough to justify the price point.
What really ruined the experience, though, was the customer service. I was given a buzzer to let me know when my food was ready. After waiting for a while and not hearing or feeling it go off, I went up to the counter to politely ask if my order was ready. The staff member immediately gave me an attitude and said, “We’ve been calling you for 15 minutes,” clearly annoyed and assuming I wasn’t paying attention. I explained that the buzzer never rang, but he just looked irritated and told me the food had been sitting there.
Only after checking the buzzer himself did he realize it was broken. They did replace my poutine, which I appreciated, but by then my expensive burger was cold and even less enjoyable than before. At that point, the damage was done. Between the mediocre food and the poor attitude, it wasn’t a great experience. For the price, I expected better quality, better service, and definitely better handling of the situation.
