Le Funi

This is a very nice hotel with a bit of class about it. This would have to be one of the most inviting hotels we have stayed at. Everything said please stay here, from the staff, the decore, to the location. The hotel is in a great location, few minutes walk to the Cita Alta, The airport bus & the bus from train station stop 5 minutes from hotel door, it's up a slight but manageable incline. Bus will cost you Euro 1.70, bargain. If you arrive at airport after midnight, you may need to catch a taxi, we were dying Euro 50 for the trip, so if you are looking at Ryanair (arrives 0.55am) for example add this to your cost for comparison purposes. The hotel rooms ,& bathroom is modern and very clean. Beds & pillows are very comfortable, bathroom has a large shower, great water pressure. The breakfast is great, make sure you ask for a cappuccino, they weren't to bad. Breakfast can be eaten outside, very pleasant, with variety of nice cereal, cakes yoghurt & fruit upstairs & then downstairs meats, cheeses, bread toast & some hot foods as well. Overall a great stay and when next in Bergamo will be staying here again. All the staff are outstanding.

This was my second stay at this wonderful hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff at reception were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and pleasant. The restaurant team were just as friendly and attentive, adding to the overall excellent service. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, which I truly appreciated, and the location is absolutely perfect — close to everything yet quiet enough for a restful stay. My room was very comfortable, offering a great night’s sleep. A special thank you for the lovely treat I received for my birthday — such a thoughtful touch that made my stay even more memorable. I will definitely be returning again. Highly recommended!

A perfect place for your Bergamo Getaway! It is in the perfect location in the Upper Old City, has great freshly renovated rooms, and offers excellent service. During our stay, we encountered four different front desk attendees, and all of them were super attentive to our needs! Again - the location is perfect! Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices for all tastes and preferences. (Try all the cheese they offer.) There are many attractions in very close proximity to this hotel. There is Parking!!! I am thrilled! Thank you!

Le Funi is a gem. Well located, charming, great service and truly a perfect stay to match the uniqueness of Bergamo. Located in Bergamo's città alta, Le Funi has the vantage point of being near the walled historic city and in walking distance to the even steeper parts of exclusive homes and views. Peaceful walks up and down staircases, within the walled city and around the perimeter of the walls are all in close proximity. Since the hotel is slightly outside the fortified walls and away from where all the tourists are, it is quiet and feels exclusive. You can be a part of the action of the city or choose to be remotely quiet and witness from a distance. I enjoyed room 202 and I believe this is THE room you must request. On the second and top floor. The room is on a corner of the building and has four windows with spectacular views. Even the bathroom has a window. Ample sunlight. The room is modern and efficient. Comfortable and quiet. I will request the same room when I return. The morning breakfast is like dining in a family home. Welcoming and cozy. Ample selection of items and great coffee. In writing to the management in advance, they accommodated my request for oak milk. The responsiveness of the management to emails is exceptional. No question is a bother. They were always quick to respond and accommodate. By the time I arrived, I felt as if I'd already been enjoying their hospitality.

Super happy to choose this hotel! Enough space, view is beautiful. Relaxing to have a dinner in Restaurant downstairs, great experience.

The Le Funi is a lovely boutique feel hotel in a great location handy for all the attractions of Citta Alta. |Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and nicely appointed with a very nice shower. We had a stunning view of Bergamo from our window and the street below was quiet. |The breakfast room is snug but appealing with a good selection of continental style foods. |The jewel in the crown at Le Funi is without doubt the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. They really take pride in their job and it shows. |A truly lovely hotel with superb staff. Looking forward to revisiting in the future.

I stayed in Le Funi Hotel in early September 2024. It is in a great location- walking distance to Citta Alta. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the buffet breakfast on the open terrace was delicious and peaceful. By far the most outstanding thing about this Hotel was its kind, generous spirited, supportive staff. They provided exemplary service, advice and kindness. I had a fall while in Bergamo and everyone at the hotel- including the manager, kitchen staff, cleaners and receptionists supported me through a difficult time. I would highly recommend this stylish, artistic, wonderful Hotel. Helen Turner
