I recently had lunch at Le Gabriel Restaurant and Lounge and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I started with the seafood chowder, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It had a generous amount of fresh seafood, giving each spoonful a delightful mix of textures and tastes. The chowder was perfectly seasoned, not overpowering but really letting the natural flavors of the seafood shine. For the main course, I ordered the king crabs, and they were a highlight. The crab meat was tender, sweet, and incredibly fresh—easy to tell it was high-quality. The dish came with all the accompaniments I needed, and the restaurant staff made sure I had everything to fully enjoy the experience. I appreciated how attentive the service was; my server was friendly, knowledgeable, and always checked in without being intrusive. The ambiance of Le Gabriel added to the enjoyment. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxed meal, and I could tell a lot of locals love this place as well. Overall, Le Gabriel Restaurant and Lounge is a must-visit for seafood lovers or anyone wanting a hearty, delicious meal. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual lunch or a more celebratory dining experience, this place won’t disappoint!

The waiter is nice! But the lobster roll was the worst, i got to say 28 bucks for this lobster roll is a bit of hmmmmmm, I personally don't like it.. We also had the pasta, It was.... lame, the chicken was soft like tofu, and the pasta was way beyond Al Dante. And, the bathroom was clogged and unusable.... Git to say the waiter was nice!

We were just staying in town a couple of nights and wanted to check out the local music scene and the artist playing that night (Glen Roache) was recommended to us by someone who lives in the area - he plays a standard strung guitar left handed, so that’s a neat trick. He’s got a good voice too and a flair for mashing songs back to back. We enjoyed listening to him and we also enjoyed the food. I got an Acadian platter and my wife got their meat pie. For dessert we got a peanut butter cheesecake spice with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate sauce drizzled on top. Yeah it was good. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

We really enjoyed Le Gabriel. Their seafood chowder is loaded with large scallops and they have excellent crab tacos. The night we were there, there was a live band playing bangers all night! Such a fun local environment.

We had a very nice lunch here. The food tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly! They had a kids menu with crayons and good variety (10$ including dessert). So many cake desserts to choose from; I would recommend lemon cake! Wonderful seafood chowder and fish and chips. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place :)

Not many options when you visit early in the season in Cape Breton. Stopped here for lunch and left disappointed. Ordered the lobster club and veggie. As you can see in the pictures, it’s frozen vegetables that was boiled as it was completely water logged and mushy and wasn’t even seasoned. The lobster sandwich was decent, but at $35, it was expensive for about half the meat you would normally get in a lobster roll in NS. The fish and chip was ok ($19) as the batter was crispy but very greasy on the plate as the fish wasn’t drained before serving. There are lots of settings and attached to a sport bar on the other side. The service was friendly, but can’t recommend to go back if we were ever in the area again.

Place was not busy when we arrived. Good atmosphere, clean and nice outdoor area. The chowder we had was thick and creamy but fish filled versus other type of seafood. The lobster tacos were really good, nice amount of lobster and there are three. Fries were great as well.

You need to come here for the seafood, you won't be disappointed, it's what you'd expect for tasting the fresh catch of the season. Family friendly but the interior needs a bit of an update. Can't say enough good things about the staff.
