I'm not kidding when it comes to this place; I go at least once a week. The pastries are the best in Toronto, the croissants are incredibly good, everything they sell is amazing. It's my favorite place to eat a good croissant and have a good cappuccino. They also have specials cakes to order and the croissants with Iberian ham are delicious.

Le Génie Pastry is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the smell of fresh pastries and a beautiful display that makes it hard to choose just one item. Everything is crafted with care, perfectly balanced in sweetness, and incredibly fresh. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion behind each creation. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience feels both cozy and refined. A must-visit spot for anyone who truly appreciates great pastries and desserts.

Desserts were pretty good. 🍰The strawberry cake was nice with some frozen fruit in the middle. The pistachio one was yummy and had custard inside. The egg tart had a nice vanilla flavor but the crust was a bit hard for me. The coffee was just okay, nothing too special. Still a chill spot to hang out and enjoy some sweets.

Prepare to spend money here. The quality and appearance of the croissants, Danishes and cakes can justify the high price. Le Genie is on everyone list if you are looking for good croissant in Toronto. And they end up to be right. Yes all the bake goods are expensive here. Croissants are huge, bigger than my hand. Shell is crispy and the structure is airy and soft. I think if the Pistachio filling is thicker, it might be even better. Very seldom I had a barista ask me what kind of coffee bean do I like for my coffee. Attention to detail and customer service is top notch here.

I’m always satisfied every time I visit! Their pastries have such a unique taste perfectly crunchy with rich, delicious fillings. It’s truly one of my favorite spots in the city. If there’s one thing they could improve, it would be the seating and overall ambiance. A more inviting setting would make the experience even better, but the quality of the pastries keeps me coming back.

My absolute favorite croissants in toronto. The pain suisse is also VERY good if you’re craving something chocolately yet flaky. My only wish is that they didn’t sell out of the plain croissants so early on weekends.

⭐️⭐️ Nice presentation, but didn’t fully match the price and expectations I visited Le Génie after seeing many appealing dessert photos online, so I came in with high expectations. The presentation is beautiful, but in terms of taste, the experience didn’t quite match the price point. • The strawberry shortcake was not good and lacked depth of flavor and balance. I didn’t finish which never happened in my entire life. • The Paris-Brest leaned on the sweeter side, and the praline didn’t stand out as much as expected. • The croissant and pain au chocolat were fairly standard compared to other bakeries in Toronto. At these prices, I was expecting more refined flavors and a stronger overall execution. Toronto has many excellent bakeries offering similar or better quality at more accessible prices. I’m French, born and raised in Paris for 35 years. I can understand that my expectations are higher 😉 If you want to try real French bakery/pastries, lot of places in Toronto to try, good luck!
