Came here for a four-night stay in Feb 2019 for a work trip. Arrived on a Monday night around 6pm, walked in the revolving doors, assumed this was the front lobby. I saw two 'podium' style desks, one with a female worker, asked if this is the check-in/front desk spot, and she cheerfully welcomed me with a big 'yes!' Checked-in fast, very professional and enthusiastic. Nice that I was the only customer and served immediately. I wonder if a group arrived at once if it would be longer, and assume so, but I was lucky with this experience anyway. The lobby is modern & chic, as one would expect from a recently opened hotel, which I learned from the cab driver as being about 6 months ago. When I got up to my room, I put my door card into the slot to turn on the electricity immediately and was impressed instantly. You experience jazzy, mood music. The decor here was great too, with various lighting options, all eco. The king-sized room has see-through showers, which I have experienced before, and am glad I didn't have to share my room with a coworker again, like I did the year before. LOL Perfect for the solo traveller.
Location: great, next to the Rideau Center! A 5 min walk to the market!
Re the included breakfast: it has enough to satisfy if you are a light eater in the morning. I tend to like a big breakfast, so on the first morning, had toast, fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, from the buffet table on the 2nd floor. Light eaters would be satisfied, I just opt for more of a full menu. The other three mornings I walked to a nearby restaurant, or just grabbed Starbucks at the another morning.
The conference rooms are not huge, but they are sufficient for a group of 20+, with lots of natural lighting, attentive staff. The Nespresso machine is a nice touch, although I had difficulty figuring out its usage when I was the first arriving in the morning. Once others arrived, we figured that out.
Additional note I must mention a Dave customer service staff who helped us get Senators tickets, with lots of advice on the cheapest/best way to get there. I recommended this hotel.
