We only went to the restaurant for lunch, but it was fantastic. And don’t worry if you have to wait for a table (they only can serve a certain amount of people at one time), as they allow you to enjoy the waterfalls, sauna and natural pools on their breathtaking property. The chili shrimps were spectacular and the steak frites was perfect. And definitely have the ceviche to start. Next time definitely will try to stay at the inn, as the place is magical.

What an incredible, magical place Valeria and her late husband created here. You can feel the love and passion poured into every aspect of Le Gite; from the landscaping, and construction to the splendid food and wonderful warm and welcoming hospitality. I can't credit their vision, and execution of it enough, it really is a special place. We stayed in the room next to the waterfall, and as it was a little cold in the night we lit the open fire. There's nothing quite like listening the sounds of the rainforest, the waterfall, and a crackling fire as you drift off to sleep. If we're ever back in Paraty, Le Gite will be our first stop.

Such an incredible spot - we went as our Airbnb host somewhere else recommended it as a nice place to travel to for lunch / to explore the waterfalls close to the property. The restaurant itself is beautiful and serene - you really feel like you’re in the middle of nature and before lunch we went for a swim in the natural swimming pool and went on a walk on one of the trails around the property - it was so breathtaking and feels so remote. It was just us at the restaurant and we ended up staying for 3 hours or more. The food was lovely and every single part of the meal was homemade - the bread, the chilli sauce, the ravioli, all of it was so tasty! Some of the reviews I had read said it was expensive so we were worried we would arrive and find it overpriced but actually the dishes for two were no different to other meals we had in Paraty/Ilha Grande (the mocequa was actually cheaper than anything we found in the centre) and for the experience you get and the quality of ingridients (a lot of it is grown in her garden) we found it to be good value. The wine was on the expensive side but caiprinhas/cacahca were more reasonable. Couldn’t reccomend this spot more! We want to come back and stay at the guesthouse.

A tropical haven, 4 kms away from the coast and 25 minutes from Paraty. An amazing location with waterfalls, pools, lush jungle, and a great restaurant with fine cuisine. Try the ceviche! Valeria, our lovely host and the chef was warm and welcoming. We didn't want to leave.

We found this place just looking in a local guide book. We decided to stay here for a few days as it looked really different and interesting. The owners were brilliant and very welcoming, they escorted us to our cabin which was very basic and rustic inside, we stayed in the cheaper option but it was clean and well kept. They had a brilliant dog Niomi that is extremely intelligent and seemed to be able to predict where we wanted to go on one of the many walking routes around the hills. The main walk up the mountain is a good trek but the views are breathtaking .I enjoyed exploring the local area whilst my wife enjoyed reading her book next to the pool, which is situated in a little oasis of banana and lemon trees. One evening I took a sauna which is situated next to a river for taking a dip afterwards it was amazing. We loved the food especially it was one of the nicest places I have eaten in Brazil, if you enjoy french cuisine its a must. Please try one of their caipirinha's made with fresh fruit its the best.

Our last day of a two week trip to Brazil was perfect as we ended with a lunch here. Very special spot half an hour outside of Paraty in the hills. Exceptional food, atmosphere and service. The food is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented and...hand delivered by the chef/owner. I highly recommend making the trip out to this truly magical and memorable spot.

My wife and I stayed at the inn when our reservation elsewhere was unexpectedly cancelled. The owners Olivier and Valeria are wonderful and welcoming. It is a beautiful place. ||We stayed in suite 2. It was beautifully painted in green and Aqua. The room, being in a jungle environment was always moist/ damp from the humidity. We didn't have a problem with it. We also didn't have a mosquito problem. It's a rustic cabin, with the basic necessities, yet beautifully painted and with a hammock on the porch. The shower was fabulous!||My 9 year old twins played around the grounds. It was magical for them. They went to the river and we went on nature walks. There are many butterflies and birds. ||The food in this Inn is great. My kids loved it. The ravioli is homemade as well as everything else. The salad was also delicious! We've been traveling South America for 5 months and we miss eating a wonderful salad. The potions are for two, and in my opinion it was enough. I could not imagine eating any of the dishes all by myself. I could, because it's so good, but I think I would have that over eating feeling. There was no wasted food between the four of us. ||Breakfast was delicious, plenty and with an assortment of pastries, fruits, and jams. They make one large omelet, which was always enough for us. ||The transportation was a little challenging. The buses in Paraty are disorganized. One time we took a bus that didn't drive us up the hill to the Inn, and the driver was rude. Luckily, a few people on the bus told us this was our exit and Valeria and Olivier's daughter was with us so we all got a ride back. The next day, Sunday, we missed the last bus so a different bus driver on a different route, a nice one, offered to drop us off at the bottom of the hill. From there we began to walk and a random resident in the area picked us up and took us. It's about a 4km walk to the Inn. If you don't mind the challenge and adventure, you don't need a car. A car is far easier though. ||I highly recommend this Inn for those who like rustic and adventure, as well as those seeking relaxation. ||The restaurant I also recommend! It's delicious!|

The place is very beautiful, away from the city and into the woods, and very well maintained. The rooms (2 suites, 2 lofts and 1 bungalow) are located into the woods, near a stream with a small waterfall. From the room one can listen to the running water all day long. the tap water is potable, straight from the springs, which is very rare in Brazil. ||The owners, Olivier and Valeria, were very friendly and helpful. For the animal lovers, there is a dog (Naomi) and a cat (Max). Overall, we felt very welcomed. ||The food was great, from breakfast to dinner. ||Now for the not so good stuff. We stayed in the Suite #1. The room was very dark and wet. Because it is located into the woods, it was crowded with mosquitos and the mosquito repellent available in the room was not enough. Keeping the fan on most of the time helped but I still got my legs full of bites. I would recommend another room, maybe one of the lofts that seem a lot more comfortable but also a lot more expensive. ||Speaking about cost, this is the other con. Everything seemed overpriced. From the room to the food. ||A final word of caution. I don't recommend staying there without a car. There is a bus that goes to Paraty but it doesn't go till the Inn. In addition, a car is very important to go to the several beaches nearby and also to other places to eat. I don't recommend eating frequently at the Inn. As I already mentioned, the food is great but very expensive (a lot more than similar restaurants in Paraty). ||In spite of the cons, I still recommend the place.|||
