Hotel Le Grand Chalet

If you want to feel like in family, that is the perfect place Perfect rooms, perfect restaurant amazing breakfasts....what else to say? Carole manages the hotel with maestria, and our dog, which is the most important part of the family, is very welcome Thanks to all the team!

Phenomenal food, very good wine selection, excellent service, would go back in a heartbeat! We stayed at the Hotel Le Grand Chalet for a skii weekend with our friends and we enjoyed it very much. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff went out of their way to pamper us.

Absolutely perfect place. Such a beautiful, peaceful view from our balcony. Friendly staff, and a great restaurant too.

I recently stayed one night at the chalet and had a great experience. The person working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. My room had a balcony with a beautiful view of Gstaad and the surrounding mountains, and it was reasonably priced, esp. given how high end Gstaad is. A nice breakfast was included. I also enjoyed the delicious welcome chocolates. Note that it's about a 15 minute uphill walk from town to the hotel, but they do offer shuttle service to/from town. They have a nice sauna/steam room area that is available that can be reserved for one hour private use. I had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which was good though pretty pricey. I would definitely recommend this chalet!

Great hospitality and amazing views from the hotel rooms. We stayed here last winter and had a wonderful experience. All the staff that work here are like a happy family who will do everything they can to make your stay amazing. The views from Le Grand Chalet is the best in Gstaad because it is sits higher than any other hotel. And commuting is not a problem as they have a free shuttle on demand. The spa is a bit small, but is very well maintained and mostly available if you reserve in advance. Coming to best part - food at the restaurant. We had a 3 course meal at the restaurant during our entire stay and each dish served to us was extremely delicious, the chefs truly deserve Michelin star. Will definitely visit the place again!

I am a little late in reviewing (it’s been a busy year). We stayed here for our 60th birthday celebrations in March and we could not have asked for more. This hotel is wonderful. Perfectly placed with excellent views, our room looked over Gstaad and down to the village of Saanan. The room was spacious, comfortable and warm. Every member of staff in the hotel were kind and helpful people, who were happy to discuss Swiss life with us and make recommendations for local walks and events. For a steady walker, the hotel is approx 15 minutes walk down hill to the centre, we walked down everyday but utilised the shuttle bus to return as the walk is quite steep. There is an excellent walk along the river toward Saanen, about an hours walk, where you then have the option, if you wish of catching the train back. Great times In a wonderful,hotel, where we met some equally wonderful members of staff and it is area we will return to soon.

Le Grand Chalet is a wonderful boutique hotel in the beautiful town of Gstaad. The property truly embodies what the town promises… ”Come Up Slow Down”. The views from the property are breathtaking & the location tranquil.||||The property is truly made special by its great professional, dedicated & wonderful team. Not to mention the excellent selection of food & wine at La Bagatelle, which in our opinion is the best restaurant in town. ||||Having stayed at the property multiple times earlier, we returned in June 2022 for yet another wonderful stay. Each team member is wonderful, but thanks to Carole, Fabienne, Kristina, Martine, Charles, Patricia, Barbara, Margaux, Joris, Diana & Pedro who helped make our stay so special. ||||The only regret was they could have organised better weather, given the heat wave across Europe. 😉||
||Truly a special place when visiting Gstaad.

This was our favourite of our trip across Switzerland... The staff are so nice and helpful... nothing is too much for them. They all seem genuinely happy and enthusiastic about their job and helping you. We saved so much money on taxis as the staff drove us everywhere. The rooms are large and spacious with great natural light and a large out door balcony. We originally booked for one night but decided to stay 3. We visited the larger "fancier" hotels but this one has a warm home like feeling to it. I highly recommend and will only come back here when we visit again.
