Beautiful prestige hotel - “Grand” style like in the old times with an elegant restaurant

Our family’s favorite Holiday hotel. It’s perfect for a Christmas/New Year break with amazing decorations and party atmosphere. The food at both restaurants is great. The staff goes beyond their way to help and make us feel at home. The pool and spa area is the best of any hotel we have tried. Large pools, sauna, clean spaces. The rooms are spacious and very cozy. The game room is a big hit with the kids. And we mustn’t forget Felix the cat who welcomes us every year. Thank you to the whole team who makes our holiday stay special every time!

Friendly and helpful staff. There are three restaurants for dining for different taste and budget. We had dinner at L'Assiette du Coq à l'Ane which was lovely, just with a small unpleasant incident at the end- we got the wrong change with 30 euro missing. It got quickly resolved though. ||Lovely and cozy inside pool area with a small gym (treadmills) and sauna for two. Spa services ( body scrubbing and massage) were excellent.||There were many great options for breakfast, the only thing i was missing personally was real cereals instead of flakes and some alternative options. Great service at the breakfast area. ||The only disappointing thing during our two-day stay was wifi. The connection was often cutting off and the signal in the room ( second floor) was not strong enough to have a video call. The signal is stronger at the bar downstairs, close to reception area but it is quite loud there. ||Overall, a pleasant stay!

Very well run hotel, the owner checks in with each table on a nightly basis to ensure guests are having a good stay, she covers all three restaurants which is truly impressive. Great breakfast with a very good selection. 3 pools (indoor, outdoor and a lap pool). We had a lovely weekend stay in a junior suite with 2 interconnecting rooms. The room was well laid out and very comfortable, probably in need of a refresh. I believe this is underway judging by the photos on the website. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice location (although the "park" is not a park but a garden) and pretty old style halls, however many small details were disappointing. Cleanliness of rooms (in general very good, but still a spot here and there on the bathrobe), equipment of the spa (a sauna without closeby shower) but particularly the dinner menu were not up to it - from the service putting knife and fork down the wrong way round to an amuse bouche from the refigerator the menu was anything but exciting. The staff is very friendly and you are nicely in the center of "town", but still on both the breakfast and the dinner the kitchen has to seriously step it up.|Possibly the place is run differently during high season, but we left with a bit of a mixed impression.

Lovely hotel, stayed here for three days. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel offers dinners and has two restaurants. There is a swimming pool and a spa and wellness area. The surroundings are nice to, if you enjoy water sports and/or walking. I would recomnend this hotel, because of the service they offer, the kind personnel and the luxury that Le Grand Hôtel & Spa Gérardmer offers.

My second stay in this hotel after a couple of years but always the best place should you decide to spent 1 of 2 days in Gerardmer. Located in the heart of the city but within a short walking distance from the lake, this hotels has all you need : outdoor swimming pool (heated) gardens, free parking, spa space, 3 restaurants, 2 bars....||Thanks to the reception for the nice upgrade with a room with view park, it has been much appreciated :-) ||This hotel breaths a kind of "Grand Hotel" as you can probably find in Biarritz & Deauville. Great menu at the restaurant "Le coq à l'âne", a drink on the terrace in the evening and everything was perfect.||So, a nice place to discover or (re)discover
