I am very sad to be rating this magnificent hotel as 2 star out of 5. My poor review is only due to a poor customer service experience I have received during my stay. |The hotel itself is in perfect location, the rooms overlooking the sea are amazing and luxurious, the food is excellent and even the toiletries in the room are Rituals with great smell. Unfortunately, the customer service doesn’t live up to the standards they wanted to achieve. Me and my husband booked a special offer package which included “ breakfast, dinner and 2 cocktails “. Upon arrival at dinner no one explained that we can only pick from a separate menu and everything else is extra. We ordered 2 cocktails and wine to have with dinner. The wine arrived , being opened and poured into glasses. We started drinking it. Then a cocktail arrived. Just the one. I didn’t drink it as it was too late. My husband never received his. After dinner we were charged for the entire dinner minus 64 euros which apparently we were only allowed according to the package. Surprise! After complaining to the receptionist we were only charged for the wine and a cocktail. Why? Because despite the offer of free cocktails we were only allowed the cocktails the hotel selected but didn’t tell us about. |The final disappointment came upon check-out. We didn’t park at the hotel car park but on the beach 10 min walk away, so at 12 noon we asked the receptionist to keep our ( very small) suitcase for 1 hour while we are having lunch on the beach at the cafe next door. She refused , giving an excuse that they have a lot of arrivals today and that all the rooms were booked. I specifically checked the website and it was not true, lots of rooms were available and anyway, the check- in is at 4pm not 1pm . We travel extensively and have never previously experienced such nonsense. You can always ask the hotel to store your bags the day you check out until you are ready to leave. |I stayed at the hotel once before and really enjoyed it. That’s why I came back. I feel very sad as I really loved the hotel itself but was not ready for such poor “ customer service “ experience.
