The hotel is located in a stunning setting with truly beautiful surroundings — peaceful, elegant, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, which is definitely a plus. However, there are several areas where the hotel falls short for a 4-star standard.
Both of the rooms we rented had a strong dog odor, which made the stay less pleasant. While we appreciate that the hotel is pet-friendly, it’s clear that rooms are not thoroughly sanitized or deodorized after each stay. This is something that really needs attention.
We also experienced technical issues in the rooms, such as broken coffee machines and faulty shower controls. In terms of dining, the experience was disappointing. The restaurant only offers a buffet in the evening, with no à la carte option available, which is quite limiting for guests expecting variety or quality.
A very important point to be aware of: if you arrive after 10 PM, there is no open restaurant or food service at all. Room service, which most travelers would expect to be available late or even 24 hours in a hotel of this category, also shuts down at 10 PM. So if you’re arriving late after a long journey or a full day of sightseeing, be prepared — there’s nothing to eat, and you’ll have to wait until breakfast the next morning.
Lastly, the bar staff during the evening shift were particularly disappointing: unfriendly, cold, and lacking basic hospitality. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury 4-star French experience, the service and attention to detail were well below expectations.
I would recommend this hotel only for its location and beautiful landscape. But if you’re expecting comfort, good service, and flexibility, it falls short and there’s definitely room for improvement.
