The sandwiches are phenomenal!! The amount of meat on them was insane. I had mine heated which just heightened the experience. The service was great. They have an awesome horseradish sauce topping for those who like bite. The price was very reasonable. The atmosphere was a quaint neighborhood general store with a deli and meat market. They had a very interesting fountain drink selection; brands I hadn't heard of in years. I am a very frugal man who doesn't like to spend fifteen dollars on a meal, especially a sandwich and a drink. But this place is worth every penny. I'll be back again and again.

Google
Counter #1 order a hot legend. Counter #2 order cheddar brats. Pay. Eat the legend and become one at home when you grill the cheddar brats.

Google
Popped in Legrand's yesterday before close to grab a couple sandwiches and was helped by Rob, who I originally thought was the owner Jim :-). We've had the sandwiches before but my hubs wanted to try the tortellini salad and I had my eye on the seafood salad. Rob asked us if we'd tried the chicken salad and let us sample some. YUMMMAAAAYYY (in my Tim Ezell voice) Had to add it to our haul. Rob was so kind and welcoming and I loved how his other customers cosigned his suggestions LOL that's when you know you've got good stuff. Left out with a smile and looking forward to go back but sad I left my seafood salad in the fridge...it was supposed to be my lunch today.

Google
I've only been to Le Grand's Market a couple of times, but I'm already hooked! The place is so clean and welcoming, and they have a fantastic selection at really good prices. But the best part? Their sandwiches! The staff is always so friendly, it really makes the whole experience even better. I'm definitely going to become a regular here. Oh, and you have to try the Show-Me Club - it's my go-to!

Google
What a great local deli and shop. I didn't realize that this was just right around the corner from me and I'm disappointed that I've been missing out on it for the last 10 months that I've been here. I got the tri-tip sandwich which was delicious! It does not appear that they offer any gluten-free bread option. So if you are a gluten-free gal/pal this may not be your place. There is a small lot to park in, but if it gets busy you might have to park on one of the streets next to it. I will definitely be back!

Google
It’s my family’s favorite. The last two times though my sandwich has been messed up. I have a list it pre written and ready to go either 4 sandwiches every time with exactly what they ask for when you order and it still got messed up both times. Last time I got the completely wrong sandwich, all the others in my order were correct.

Google
Le Grand's will always be my absolute favorite place for a sandwich. My go-to is the Elbirdo, which is spicy and full of flavor. They actually put so much on these sandwiches. This place isn't only a place for subs, but they have a deli, dining area, and a small market. Love this place! If I could rate it more stars I would.

Google
One of the better places to get a sandwich in town. They do a lot of traditional style Italian but do have quite a few different options and offer a wide variety to accommodate everyone. I recommend the Legend Club and I believe it is their most popular sandwich. Or stop in to get meats, cheeses, baked goods and plenty more! Another spot that epitomizes the St Louis deli scene.

Yelp
This is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Would highly recommend the legend club sandwich. On French bread. Hot.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! Certainly doesn't feel like you are in STL when you are here. Feels like a big city deli. Sandwiches are out of this world here! Tons of options- all fresh from their deli and made to order. Deli has cuts of meat you can buy, a huge drink selection, and even a little grocery store. You place your order at the front, wait for it, pay for it plus any other items at the cashier and can take it to go or sit in the seating area which has tons of tables. Cute spot- love the neighborhood vibe. We tried the tri tip sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich, both were delicious and great portions. We will be back!!

Yelp
My favorite little local grocery store+ sandwich shop. Love stopping in and grabbing a sandwich, browsing their pre-made selections and heading to Francis Park to enjoy my bounty! My got to sandwiches are the Jackie Special and the Show me the Club. Pair them with their macaroni salad or even pick-up their premade lasagna for later in the day. Great value and service.

Yelp
I've lived south well over 15 years. HOW did I not know about the DELICIOUS sandwiches they sell? I went there for a MO made BBQ sauce. I checked the company website and was directed to LeGrand. I walk in and smell deliciousness in the air. I scored 4 jars of MY FAVORITE BBQ sauce AND ordered a sandwich. When I tell you...my sandwich was just what I needed. I've gone 2 weekends in a row. Staff are very friendly any helpful. I was greeted by EVERYONE I encountered. They have a new customer in me.

Yelp
Visited LeGrands market deli today and ordered a sandwich. Found out you walk in the right door & order at the counter. Once ordered you wait for your name to be called, then pay on the other side of the store and walk out the opposite door. There are lots of tables to eat inside and a few to eat at outside. I loved the sauce on the sandwich and will def go there again if I am in that area.

Yelp
Friendly neighborhood meat market that sells incredible sandwiches & local goods. We love it here, great place to get warm or cold sandwiches.

Yelp
It was a rainy day, so my friend came over and we decided just to stay in and play cards and Games all day. At lunchtime we decided to run up to LeGrand's to grab a quick sandwich. We got the number one seller, The Legend Club and the rally squirrel. Both were on the spicy side and both were delicious. Packed with cheese, meat and flavors! As we were going to the checkout, the pizza boxes and the freezer section caught our eye. We saw spicy on one and we knew it was for us. We decided to go ahead and grab a couple pizzas for all of us to have at dinner. We opted for the Spicy Legend Club pizza, which was just like the sandwich I had and just as good! We also decided to try the LeGrand meatball and pepperoni pizza. This one was really good as well. Very cheesy. For $12.99, These were very well packed pizzas and a great deal. The only question that we would've had on them was do you keep them in your freezer or were you supposed to put them in the fridge. We kept them in our freezer and when cooking it it says 375° for 12 to 14 minutes. It took a lot longer than that. With that said that makes us think, maybe that was the instructions if they were not frozen. Maybe needs to be a little clearer on the package if that is the case. Bonus was they had a decent selection of wines that we could grab as well for our pizza later. Everything you need in this one little store.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is. Sandwiches were just okay. Not exceptional bread, meat, or sauces compared to several other sandwich places near by. Liked that they had seating inside and out. The set up is a little off with having the deli counter and then having to check out on the other side of the store. Was anyone else thrown off by the 7 microwaves they had back there? Just me?

Yelp
I love this spot! One of the best sandwich shops in St. Louis! Their sandwich and bread was soo good. Decent pricing too. Order online then pick up. Stays busy.

Yelp
A friend recommended this deli to me, so I decided to swing by before a trip to the zoo. Lots of selection in sandwiches. It was almost hard to decide on one! Favorite part though, every sandwich is offered in either hot or cold. My sandwich was delicious, and I could tell the cuts of meat were high quality. There are side options, other prepared food items, a large selection of meat products for purchase, and a wall of refrigerated beverages. There is seating in the middle section of the store, if you prefer to eat there. To the left is a small well stocked market area with grocery items. Great place to come for a quick lunch or on the go meal! PSA: the gooey butter cookies are da BOMB !!!

Yelp
This summer, I've been trying different sandwich shops in Stl - see if I'd find one, that knocks Eovaldi's off its pedestal. "No"...this place isn't accomplishing that in my mind - but it's (still) a great place to try and experience. First off, you're in a combo neighborhood grocery, meat market, deli place. Has these old retro tables and decor - that just feels right. They side cold items were all pretty darn good...and they had more to choose from. The Legend Club....their most popular sandwich....had great pastrami on it....the bread was excellent. Sandwich had a house sauce...that had some heat and a bit unique taste. And the sandwich was warmed....which next time, I'd prefer it cold. I love this little place.....and look to mix it in, when I'm back in Stl.

Yelp
Sorry for the low score but I got there and pulled a number ticket but that wasn't how they were doing business. So others ordered before me. I got the tri-tip for $14 and it definitely wasn't worth it. Gristle and the "onions" were not on the sandwich, it's part of the description of the cheese. I was debating whether I should go to Arby's or Lion's Choice, I think I made the wrong decision today. Sandwich was okay but definitely not worth the price!

Yelp
The lines move quickly and the butcher might be the coolest man in town. Generous, passionate, and knowledgeable. Extra meats for being first timers and pro tips on smoking pork that I'll carry w me til I die.

Yelp
I love LeGrands! LeGrands is right by my house, which makes me love it even more! Right when you walk in, there's typically a line to order sandwiches, but it goes by pretty quickly. I've been here countless times, and I usually get the same thing (create of habit). I get the legend club which is spicy, but nothing too overpowering. The combo of the turkey, pastrami, bacon, cheese sauce, and cream cheese is really something special. I get it hot (temperature) on wheat. The slice it and it's ready to go within 3-4 minutes! They a great selection of drinks, sides, chips, desserts and groceries. It's a great opportunity to grab something that you might have left off of your grocery list for the week, or grab some fresh stuff from the butcher! It's definitely come in handy when my neighbors and I want to grill. Love living so close to this gem!

Yelp
This is a great spot to get sandwiches, a cold drink, or some tp! There is a long list of sandwiches available, and they are made fresh. The deli case also has some prepared salads or meats. If you want to enjoy a sandwich immediately, there are tables set up in the middle of the store. There are also some groceries available, even some produce so you don't have to stop at the " big store". The staff is always friendly and service is quick. This is a pleasant store to stop in if you live in the neighborhood!

Yelp
I messed up big time. Due to a miscommunication, I found myself without a caterer 5 days before my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. F*#k. Enter LeGrand's. They sensed the panic in my voice and assured me they could fit me in their schedule. I reviewed the menu- so many options for every price point! Joe got me squared away with a lasagna buffet with all the fixings. They delivered on time and helped me get everything set up. Plates, cutlery, napkins and serving utensils were all included. What did the guests have to say? "Holy sh!t, where's this from?" "This lasagna is amazing." "Can I take some potatoes home with me to use in my breakfast?" "This is the best salad I've ever had." LeGrand's, you've got a forever customer in me. Thanks for everything

Yelp
My first time visiting, this was on my deli bucket list. I got the hoagie Berra, it was soooo delicious. I was shocked about the amount of meat that came on it. I could only eat half. The cheese was very rich and delicious. Can't beat a quality sandwich with real meat and cheese for 10.00 bucks.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best spots when craving a unique, freshly made sandwich. We tried trying a new one each time but its difficult not reordering what you had the previous time. When hard to decide, we've asked who ever is making our sandwich to make us their personal favorite and it ended up outstanding. The chip, dessert and soda/beverage options are endless to add onto the meal. Their meat counter is exceptional quality and the butchers are great helpers with questions or recommendations. The staff have a contagious friendliness that spreads to the customers, everyone is always in a great mood. A south city treasure all around.

Yelp
Did not like their sandwiches from bread to meat used. Sorry I would not recommend this place as I tried many sandwiches at the party and was disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
What can I say about Legrand's? It is an old-school tomboy grocery store with a very large deli selection. As far as I know a lot of people go there for their lunch menu. There are lots of different sandwiches to choose from. When I go, I always get The Legend! several different types of meat with a hot pepper, garlic cheese sauce, bacon, and toasted French bread. My recommendation is to go earlier for lunch as it starts to get quite busy.

Kristen N.

Yelp
Whoever was responsible for sandwiches today, 2/22, at 4pm, needs a raise. This place is absolutely fantastic on a regular day, and today was above and beyond

Yelp
I just got a Ham and Provel pizza at your establishment and it was Amazing. #eatlocal #sogood

Yelp
Had the pleasure of meeting *THE* STL Sandwichman who recommended that we grab a sandwich at LeGrand's. Since I was early, I was able to peruse the market which has an adequate but small selection of groceries, limited produce, and a variety of microbrews in the cooler and wine selection. Being new to town and a first-time patron, I had to try the #1 seller: the Legend Club, which has salsalito turkey, pastrami, pepperoni, bacon, hot pepper cheese, havarti, garlic cream cheese, and roasted red pepper sauce. Although I had requested that the French bread to be toasted, however, the sandwich was soft when I bit into it and did not have the consistency I was expecting for a toasted sandwich. Despite this rather small short coming, the ingredients themselves were of quality. If memory serves me right, Mr. Sandwichman had the McGwire Special which comprised of ham, roast beef, salami, cheddar, provel, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, horseradish sauce and was willing to trade half of my Club for half of his sandwich. I love and prefer sandwiches that contain vegetables therefore this sandwich had me after the very first bite. The horseradish is mild and not overpowering and the bread was more toasted than my Club. Both sandwiches had their own merits and were amazing. The only reason why I wouldn't order these sandwiches again is because I want to try other options! Sandwich staff and cashier were kind and courteous. Tip: Don't forget to grab a sandwich loyalty card and have it punched to earn towards a free sandwich, because...who wouldn't like a free sandwich?
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
If you like a little spice then I would recommend the Legrand Club. I had mine served warm. I will say when I've had other deli sandwiches warm they were served hot and this was warm which I was slightly disappointed but they did say it would be warm after all. The atmosphere is cute and retro and the service was excellent. Overall I rate this place 5/5, I will be back!

Yelp
Came on a whim. Was heading to Panera but stopped here instead. Glad I did! Way better than Panera! Got a Ruben and it was yummy! Bought some brats to take home. They were delicious. All in all a great experience.
google avatar

Sarah E.

Yelp
Good quality subs! Got our food quickly, even with a small line. Service was great and kind.
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
I'm going to deviate from the crowd here and say Legrands was just ok. Cool spot with a full deli, sandwiches, deli meats, prepared foods and chips and drinks. I got the Elbirdio toasted on French bread. The bread wasn't great and the sandwich had a little kick with pepper cheese it but needed something more - vinegar or pepperoncinis maybe. Neat spot but not anything special in my opinion.

Cathy B.

Yelp
Friendly, helpful staff. Fresh bread for sandwiches. Really tasty! Great selection. Love the neighborhood vibe. Great place. First time there.
google avatar

Bob K.

Yelp
An excellent variety of sandwiches ! Try the Thatd Amore sandwich it was fantastic I hear the loaded. potato soup is also fantastic.
google avatar

Phillip A.

Yelp
LeGrand's is top tier. If you were to ask me to name top 5 delis in St. Louis, LeGrands would be on that list. They have a very large selection of sandwiches (The Legend and Tom Boy are my two favorites), the staff is always attentive and kind and this is a place that if it closed down I would honestly be devastated. They have hours that allow me to make it after work and carry some of the best sandwiches in town.
google avatar

Stefan H.

Yelp
#85: Legend Club Built with spicy Salsalito turkey, pastrami, pepperoni and bacon. Topped with hot pepper and Havarti cheeses and finished with garlic cream cheese and a tangy roasted red pepper sauce. This sandwich is amazing and definitely worth all of the hype! Recommend getting a side of the olive salad!
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Unfortunately not every sandwich here lives up to the mighty Legend Club (an impossibly high bar), but I found their other offerings dry (inadequate sandwhich moisture is a crime) and with poor bread. Maybe it was a bad night. My mouth was also graced with what may be the worst potato salad I have ever tried. I'd still come back however.
google avatar

Erica M.

Yelp
I just went there for the first time this morning, I will DEFINITELY be back! I went in just for a couple steaks, and the gentleman behind the counter was so kind that I nearly cried. (I suffer from anxiety in unfamiliar situations) He helped me choose my steaks, they were beautiful! I cannot wait to grill them up tomorrow. I also needed two sandwiches, and I asked the man who had gotten my steaks if I was allowed to pay all at once. He then took my order and turned me over to another exceptionally kind young man who made my sandwiches. Just the kindness of the staff would make me go back. Every single person I encountered there was so nice! But add to the customer service the cleanliness, ample parking, and the fact that The Legend is the best sandwich I have ever had, they've gotten a new customer for life. It's about 25 minutes from my home, but we'll worth the trip.
google avatar

Stan D.

Yelp
Legend Club for me and chicken salad for the other half. Fast friendly, and delicious!
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
Got the El Birdo without ranch. It had a great kick and flavor. Brown got the tritip and said it was a 7/10
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
The gentlemen behind the counter were very kind and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and offered advice. Prices are great and location is very convenient. It was my first time going and though it's a little bit of a drive for me I'll definitely be coming back.

Dale G.

Yelp
Top-tier sandwiches! Popular for a reason. Lines move very quick and everything is very reasonably priced for the quality.
google avatar

Annette P.

Yelp
First time visit today. I went with the The Legend and the stl style Mac n cheese. My partner did a solid and went and picked it up for our lunch. I think next time i will try a different sandwich as the pepperoni and bacon together on this one is a bit much for my liking. But I LOVE that sauce. The mac and cheese is pretty good, but I'm not overly excited. My partners sandwich was cold when they arrived home, so that's interesting. I toasted them at home in the oven. Next time I will go myself and check it out a bit more to understand their process. Pretty pricey for the amount and size of food.. so -1 star for that. I can't comment on the service, so I'll be back with an update eventually!
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
Their sandwiches are to die for. Mac & cheese is phenomenal. I swear I'd take a bath (metaphorically) 10/10

Ml F.

Yelp
I was in ST. LOUIS and I don't understand the hype over this place. I have tried it a couple of times and it is at best mediocre. We got a carry out order of a cod sandwich and it was cold and missing the lettuce, tomato, and tarter sauce (which we asked for) and had a jar of banana peppers on it. The Tri-tip was missing the cheddar sauce (which we had said we wanted). The bread was nothing special either. Go to Amighettis or Adrianas =they are better
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
LeGrand's is the best sandwich shop south city has to offer (sorry Mom's). They have so many options and their sandwiches are piled high with meet and toppings. There's plenty of seating inside and out if you want to stay and enjoy your sub. Some of my personal favorites are the legend club, the rally squirrel and el birdo.
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
I mean first of all it's the cutest place. Second everyone is super friendly. Third the sandwiches are really freaking good. They were made fresh and just fast enough. Seriously such a cute little neighborhood joint with really solid food. You have to really like meat to like the sandwiches though because it is a ton of meat.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches, prime cuts of meat and always the best customer service! I've also ordered a seasoned, cooked and sliced Turkey for Thanksgiving from LeGrands. It was delicious!
google avatar

Meghan W.

Yelp
The sandwiches were dynamite! I can't wait to come here again. I got the Edmonds and the legend and both were great. Quick friendly service. Really impressed.
google avatar

Ernest P.

Yelp
My brother in law took me here and tried their famous Legend sandwich, just blown away on how good it was, probably the best sandwich I have tried hands down
google avatar

Anthony S.

Yelp
So I haven't been here in many years and when I was, I never tried their sandwiches. Wow what a mistake, these are fantastic! They've been around for quite some time and I have to say, I can see why. I highly recommend checking them out, I'd say this is kind of a hidden gem and trust me, it's a gem.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Review for their deli sandwiches. High quality meats, breads, and toppings/condiments. They put them together in delicious combinations and you can order hot or cold. I did a cold angry bird on wheat and added the red pepper spread. It was a win and enough for 2 meals! Very generous portions and low price (my sandwich was $8!) Warning. Need to order at least 3 sandwiches if placing an order by phone. The line moves fast though.

Jen V.

Yelp
Highly recommend - never disappoints. I've been having the Warner's Club here for years. It's amazing. Simply the best sandwich I've ever had. They do it perfectly. Husband frequently gets the Hoagie Beara add spicy mustard- and he loves it. You can never go wrong here. I love this place!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in years. Stopped in for a sandwich before my haircut on a Friday. I ordered the Hitman (Roast Beef, Corned Beef, Hot Pepper Cheese, Sauerkraut, Spicy Mustard) and got a bag of The Billy Goat Kicker Chips. The only thing I ate spicy was the chips. The sandwich did not have the heat it promised. It wasn't bad it just didn't have a lot of flavor. This is a great store though. Lots of local products (Billy Goat, Imo's, Beers, Sodas, Etc.) and the butcher counter is one of the best in the city. They have a nice house made sausage and I have always been happy with steaks I have purchased here. I used to live in this hood. Pleasant stop and of course I will be back. Extra star for being friendly and local!
